Listen not even the Dyson website itself showed a video like this, if it did I could not find it. Thank you so much. This was very informative and helpful to me. Many thanks and well wishes to you. 💐✨
Getcha an air compressor and be done in less time. Not much is left in the machine after 150 psi has touched it. Also wanna say. I would highly recommend not getting water near those electric terminals. You noted it in the video, but didn't note the terminals on the extension tube end, but ya did keep the port facing downward, which should minimize potential contact. Really a slightly damp rag, paper towel, old repurposed sock with holes in it will suffice. Remember, with in a few seconds of vac use, your exhaustive cleaning efforts are moot. Air compressor, I tell ya, and there is no wait time for anything to dry. Just blast and go! Additionally, put the items in full sun if your looking for "antibacterial". Not only with the UV rays kill bacterium, it will annihilate viruses too, and it's free 😁. My V7 has been going strong for 8+ years. Recently bought (and returned) a V15 Absolute Detect..... What a joke it is for the price one pays. For you and all viewers/ readers. Looking for a sound battery replacement solution? Look no further than the Dyson battery adaptor! Get them on Amazon. Essentially you affix this adaptor onto the Dyson, and if you have quality power tools (Makita, Milwaukee, DeWalt) you just snap on and off these battery packs. The run time is off the chain with those batteries. I have two Milwaukee M18 XC 5.0 batteries that I obligately use for my Dyson V7. One fully charged battery can take care of an entire 3400 sq ft home and I still have 1/2 of the battery pack juice left!!! Lastly, and this holds true for any lithium battery, never charge a hot battery! If you vacuum, which will cause any battery to become hot, let that sucker cool down by a few hours before setting it on the charger. Your batteries will have a greater life expectancy, and last longer per charge. Cheers.
Thakyou for your help today My dyson has been cleaned and filters Will wait the 24hrs until all dry Now will view how to replace my battery. Thanks again, your help and service is great
When the unit has not been cleaned/maintained in a long time, I strongly suggest not to wash the fabric triangle/funnel shape filter as shown in the video. The dirt is collected inside the filter, so if that dirt is not properly removed from the inside, washing it as shown in the video may cause the filter to clog. First, the lid/cover of that filter needs to be removed, loosen the dirt inside with a brush and tapping on it, vacuum the filter's inside. Only after that, the filter can be washed by running water on the outside of the filter. Never run water inside of it as any dirt residue inside the filter will be pushed further in which will eventually caused the filter to clog.
Hi Lenny I use a shark vacuum cleaner .Shark hoovers are getting popular in 🇬🇧 for the price. P.S I hope you missed the heavy downpours earlier in the week .It’s been horrible here 30C and all the heat goes upstairs so I can’t sleep. I should not complain with people losing their lives through storms very selfish of me.Take care
Hi Stephen, never heard of the shark vacuum cleaner so I looked it up straight away. It is also available here and the price is much lower than the dyson indeed! We have a lot of floodings in the area, in the next village there was a lot of damage. We live a but further from the river but a lot of people lost everything. It was devastating. Yesterday I saw a caravan hanging in a tree near Roermond. unbelievable… now the big cleaning up has started. A few villages were so damaged but luckily no deadly victims in the Netherlands. Across the border in Germany and Belgium it was a lot worse. So many lost their lives 😢. The climate is changing and we are not working with mother nature but against. As long as we keep building and keep paving entire gardens the water can’t go anywhere. Wow, so hot in the uk! I sleep with a fan that blows straight in my face all summer 🤣🤣🤣 not only because It is hot but also to keep the mosquitoes away 😂
I feel so stupid for not realising that all I needed to do was clean the two filters and blow out the little roller thing that pulls out of the attachment. It friggin works like brand new now, we were fixing to just get a new one. D'oh...no wonder the thing was running so hot and sputtering, there was years worth of caked in dust in there 🤣
I must say I bought one of these and it was a horrible decision. The sucking power is mediocre at best. I bought a Makita professional vaccum cleaner for workshops and hotels and it is a marvelous device. It's loud, it's big, it's not as easy to handle as small vacuum cleaner but it never looses performance, it does not overheat, it cleans itself.
Hi!!! I have another vacuum as well, also for the bigger tasks. I use the dyson often for a quick touch up after breakfast, lunch and dinner ( 3 kids so mess all day long 🥴) . But I agree, the dyson cordless is not a replacement for a professional vacuum cleaner! Thanks for commenting anyway! Have a great day ❤️
@@LennysLoveChaos I have this one: makitauk.com/product/vc4210mx1 and it is a BEAST but A BIG ONE. One needs a new garage just for tha vacuum cleaner. I valued it so much though that I gave it my bedroom and I moved to a room under stairs.
I had an Electrolux & a Bosch Stick (dark blue). I have 3 Dogs & vacuum daily (carpet). I was shocked when I first started using the Dyson…the stuff that was sucked out of the carpet was incredible. All this time I thought I had clean carpets …Wrong !! I was always sceptical about Dyson Product’s…all that expensive Marketing..,but the V8 lived upto the Ads on TV …so easy & quick to use…I zoom around the carpet every day….I’m always surprised at the amount of hair or whatever is in the Canister every day (I empty after each use). 🐶🐶🐶
I've found that the machine can lose suction at the most inconvenient moments! SO last minute 'hoovering' is not a practical step in your schedule!! Keeping it cleaned regularly is a must and replacement parts can be fiddly to remove/insert. So do all of these things BEFORE you need to clean that floor. The frustration increases exponentially if you try to fix the suction (for example) when you need the floor to be cleaned!
Just a bit quick when you remove some parts can’t see what you’re pressing when you say ‘ just this little button’ can’t see it’ but good video otherwise.

The best video on how to clean the Dyson! Thanks 😊
Thank you so much ❤️❤️
I have the V11 and find it like you convenient for quick tidying up. Thanks for the tips- I will now get up from the sofa and clean my Dyson:)
Hahaha!!! Good good!!! Thanks for watching ❤️

You are very welcome! And thank YOU for watching and commenting ❤️
Thank you! I never knew these come apart and need cleaning until it started to smell. The cyclone part was FULL of dirt compacted together. So gross 🫣

You can dismantle the filter, you can clean inside of it
Ah - also, if you clean the cloth-type filter with cold water as demonstrated you need to WAIT 24Hrs for IT TO DRY - enough said!
Oh wow...hoe vaak doe jij dat dan??? En welke Dyson raad je aan? V8?

I washed my cyclone part now I’m panicked it’s drying? Help

Hoover is also a Vacuum Cleaner - How do you Hoover with a Dyson…???😅😅😅
Thank you!!!
You are welcome!
Wish I saw this before earlier. I think I damaged my Dyson
Never can clean . Need 6 oder more bar airgun.
My sticking point is that after cleaning the Dyson, I feel guilty throwing that dusty, dirty rag in the washing machine.
Well I hope I didn’t just ruin mine i ran all the pieces under the water except for the handle
Whats result
Instead of soapy water or just water in general, u use rubbing alcohol 😕
I like the way you cleaned the Dyson I have the same v8. Loved watching you work it Momma 😘 your hands know their way around that roller👄👅🍆

V11
Get a Shark. Way better.
