As explained in the video, most of the dirt is collected/trapped inside the fabric triangular/funnel shape filter. If the unit has not been cleaned/maintained in a long time, I suggest to remove the filter's tap/lid/cover, then to vacuum the dirt inside the filter, and to use a brush to loose the dirt trapped inside. Only after that, the filter can be washed with running water only on the outside of the filter. Never to run water inside the filter as that will push the dirt further inside the filter causing a clogged filter.
Hi there, we used this grease for the bearing : www.vacuumsrus.com/product/sewing/sewing-machine-parts-sewing/machine_maintenance/fit-all/tri-flow-grease-synthetic-3-oz-for-sewing-machines/
I looked at many videos on resolving the Dyson «pulsing» problem. This is the best one I have come across. Thanks!!!
Thank you so much for taking time to create this video. It’s been a great help!
Glad it was helpful!

Yep! But a lot of people don't understand the direction of airflow through the filters and wash it incorrectly, further clogging up the filter.
What oil did you add the the bearing?
