@@geraldreynolds3756 There have been cases where a console was essentially just an upgraded version of the same console, with exclusive games, such as the new 3DS having Xenoblade Chronicles and I think Demon Crest? But was just a slightly more powerful 3DS with a nub. People could have easily thought the Wii U was just a Wii with a dedicated controller tablet hybrid.

Yeah, the overall reveal was met with some pretty harsh criticisms. People hated the name, they hated then online requirement, they hated that almost no games were revealed, they hated the focus on TV integration… the entire Xbox one reveal was a pathetic mess.

That’s why they called it Xbox One specifically, but did you know the reason they don’t just call the consoles Xbox 1, Xbox 2, Xbox 3 etc. is actually because Xbox came later to the game than PlayStation, and they thought that if people were to choose from Xbox 2 and PS3, they would choose PS3 because the number is bigger. And I don’t blame them for this at all, because it’s actually a quite valid reason, for example, my dumbass little kid self got to choose between Xbox one and Xbox 360 as a present, and I chose 360 BECAUSE the number was bigger. Although, using the same philosophy, naming it Xbox One is a pretty stupid decision, so idk lol.
Here's a fun Fact the reason why they went with 360 instead of 2 is because they didn't want to seem inferior to the Playstation 3 by being 1 number below them. Yes they have admitted this in interview.

Its because of the drawing style. Because the heads are circles, we imagine them in 3d as spheres. Rotating a sphere will change the surface, but the outline will stay the same, hence why it looks like the characters are actually turning their heads.

I've never gotten into Kingdom Hearts but I've heard these game names:
KH: Birth by Sleep
KH: 365/2 Days (or something)
KH: Chain of Memories
KH: Dream Drop Distance
KH: Melody of Memories
And as far as I'm aware they all have something to do with the story so you can't just jump from 1>2>3 while skipping the rest
