@@mishike93they will probably remove charging port completely in few years. Devices are getting thinner and thinner and type c isn’t that thin anymore compared to them. We already have a camera bump if you remove charging port you can just charge it wirelessly there is no need for charging port. All they need is to do invent another wireless communication protocol to improve file sharing speed and we don’t need wired transfer so everything becomes wireless.

It’s actually wildly impressive how durable these things are for how thin they are. It feels more like a design exercise than anything else to make them THIS thin, but it’s such a flex to be able to have that form factor and not have it be super fragile.
Yeah, Apple engineering really is pretty good, even if people tend to dunk on it (for good reason sometimes).

I kind of don't understand the appeal of a 5mm thick IPad. Nice and all that they managed that, but what use does it have for the consumer? I personally never thought "I need a thinner IPad" in everyday use.

Me too 😬😢 Especially the scratching of surfaces… got to me! 😅 In general… the destruction of such a beautiful product feels unnecessary. I know I know… this is how the world works, and everything needs testing. BUT OUCH!!!
I remember when in the early 00's cell phones were getting ridiculously small, like fun sized candy bar sized small. Then people realized that there was a limit to how small/thin an item you have to handle to use should be and they started to get bigger. I think we have reached that point with tablets and computers. Making the camera module sit flush would have been a better improvement over thinner IMO.
The taptic engine in the pen is what makes it feel so good to use. Idk if SDM is making special parts just for apple on their linear 2 axis vibrators but it feels amazing.

i belive they are because now, we can see yes it bend when you bend it but that means like random backpack bend or whatever is just fine, but new we also saw vertical bend is not that fine meaning dont but like a changer brick on the middle of you bag againt the ipad, for example ipad on sa sleeve and the sleeve has a puch for the chager and you put that in and it is facing your back for example and you throw the bag.
i mean it is really specific but now we do see it will break and that is important to know.

@@gajjdy Glass is pretty hard, and when it breaks, the edges are typically quite sharp(sharper than a razor).
Human hands, however, are very soft.
When something hard and sharp comes into contact with something soft, the soft object will typically end up damaged.
an example of this can be seen at about about 4:08 in the video, where Zack rubs the pointed tip of a hard material against the relatively softer glass. As the glass is softer, it gets damaged, and the greater the difference in hardness levels, the more damage will occur to the softer material.
So to put it simply: Sharp glass + soft hands = cut hands.

I think this was your best video yet. When I first found your channel months/years ago, sometimes I didn’t enjoy the videos because I wasn’t really hyped about breaking things just for breaking them. But this one was so interesting. I loved getting answers to “Will the corner or camera bump of my phone scratch my iPad?” and “Will I break the iPad by bending it?” and the lighter on the screen, and the info about the anodized aluminum and allergies. I had fun in class today.

I found this useful because I was actually interested in buying one and wondered about how durable it was. Thank you Jerry for they review. It convinced me that I could depend on it holding up unless I was not careful about sitting on it. Filtering on useful comments is still a challenge for me.
absoultely grab one if you're comfortable with it, i was worried about the bending issue but if it's gonna take that much force vertically to bend it, im happy with the durability
lol…get a UAG case for it if you aren’t gunna buy the keyboard. I always use one. Just got the 13 as upgrade. Def fantastic. UAG cases are the best for peeps who don’t use the apple keyboard or prefer a wireless one. But you may have to order them coz they sold out pretty quick..my last UAG case lasted longer that the iPad 6 years. Charging port went in it so good excuse to upgrade. Loving it.
