He just doesn't want any body else to have stacks because cause his wife said no
Nah stacks are stupid
Wyatt Browning hahhaa
Pussy smasher 52 your not from America dipshit.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
omg I can relate to this now lel
That's why you keep the piece when you cut it out
Jordan Kauffman Thats a genius idea
Thanks for sharing that
"I'm not trying to detour anyone from getting a stack" *title-3 reasons to NEVER stack your truck
why am i watching this dude wash his truck
A Oswald right? Kinda creepy, i thought...
Start at the 2 min mark.
A O RIGHT!!! I was just standing here like, ‘ what the fuck’... ??? Get to the god damn point Nancy
something you should ask yourself why you actually watched it
Good question
I get what you're saying about running stacks but running them in front of your tires is no better.
Agreed
True
Fr tho
for reals
Facts!
this should be called 3 reasons why a stack doesn't work for me XD
To fix the hole where your stack used to be. Get a piece of sheet metal (preferably the same metal your bed is made of) that's bigger than the hole and the holes where the bolts were and weld it on and then to fix the bedliner issue just get rid of the factory bed liner and get a spray in bed liner. It really aint that bad if you think about it
This is why u buy a stack that points outward away from truck not just straight up in air
It’s gay just to have one stack🤷🏼
@@jasonanderson6635 Yeah but if you have two stacks you need more coal to fill it up or else it looks wimpy
@@jasonanderson6635 not true lmao
@@jasonanderson6635 it’s gay to have more then 1 stack 🤷♂️🤷♂️
Is it gay to have 2mirrors? No if you’re gonna have stacks get 2 or be half way cool
im not like most truck guys whos say "ur truck is gay cuz it has 2 inches of sidewall" "stacks are dumb" "pavement princess" how about yall just do ur own truck how u like it instead of yelling and calling someones truck a mall crawler or gay and do ur truck ur way, like goddamn
Flyin Sushi finally someone with some common sense and not some yeeyee inbred nephson who cant afford anything nice and has to shit talk everyone elses
Taylor Galbreath thankyou
Just weld a steel plate over the damn hole. Problem solved.
Weld the piece you cut out back in
even better
Amen
with a truck like that id say he doesnt know how to weld. hes prob a sandwich artist...
Stacks are fuckin gay anyway!
my exhaust broke last week at the back of the cab. it's been fun. I'm getting my exhaust redone tomorrow. finally gonna have duals out the back. I've never had stacks. but if I did I would do duals and have the tips bent
good points. I never was drawn to the stack in the back but hey if you want it and I'm not payin for it, go for it. I also find it funny how people who don't make your payment think they can tell you "What you should have and not have". Those remind me of homeowners associations that tell you what kind of drapes you should have. Just butt the hell out. Nice truck though.
First video that i watched of yours and i love the truck bud, very very clean
I love the sound the 6.0 makes when it starts up
btw try an axle dump it really makes the whole ground shake like an earth quake
To avoid the sound issue, make the stack a little longer. The old stack opening was right up against the window. Just make it longer.
That or get the baffle inserts for the straight part of your exhaust and it basically turns it into a muffler.
Thank you for this video. I was going to have stacks done but you make some very solid points.
"It didn't really bother me"
Well shit why are we here then?
When I stack mine I’m keeping the piece I cut out. I’m gonna use a 5” hole saw instead of a square.
I actually agree with you about the problems when you open your back window. I like to listen to music when I drive too.
Run the stacks up the outside of the bed/cab. I did it with my '77 Chevy. Drove it that way for years. Cops would pull me over, in a friendly manner, just to see how I did it.
I had a 6in angle cut on my 5.9, loves it. The droning sucked but it also sounded so cool. I plan to stack my 5.0 XD Cummins.
A small drain hole in the bottom of the pipe, same as is in most mufflers would cure the water problem or use flappers.. Noise and soot would be lessened by putting the pipe(s) to the side of the box instead of in the middle. Also get the stack above the cab where it belongs.
Happy Pappy you forgot about the vacuum that the cab creates
You could also curve the tip to avoid water and such
What kind of mall parking do you prefer? side lot or rear?
I ran a true dual stack setup with turnouts that ended halfway up the rear window on my 96 gmc, loud as fuck! stacks for life!
yeah just watched your video and alot of the things you are talking about is highly fixable from getting rid of cab drone to keeping water out of the stack/stacks. the thing that makes no sense to me is why put it in the center put it to one of the sides or both sides with a turn out keeps the coal off the truck and quites the drone out a huge amount and you can have more use of the rear window and rearview mirror. put a dip pipe with a one way drain plug at the bottom of the pipe and prevents the pipe from rusting out. Another way of preventing water build up is a set of flapper's
DUDE YOUR TRUCK IS INSANE. I like imports but I have always been in love with diesel (350 or 250 or 3500 or 2500) trucks
+1 subscriber
boosted garage thank you!
allhail6.0 I just bought a 2018...6.7 and I FREAKIN love it!!! Nice truck bro.
What about if you live in an area which floods to the tip frequently
just learn how to weld and you can patch that
I saw a diesel boat once that the exhaust came half out the water, and every time he would give it the juice it would leave this black sooty slick on the water and turned his transom dark black on a white hull.
all these haters.... who cares if he doesn't beat the hell out of it off-road or live on a farm, it's a nice looking truck and sounds great
Exactly, not every truck needs to be beaten to hell just because it's a truck, that's why these trucks will break and they'll start screaming about how much of a piece of junk it is
yes but why the fuck to you need a truck that intentionally puts out harmful chemicals into the air and wastes fuel that could to used to go faster
I agree my 7.3 sounds like dinosaurs screaming I don't want that by my rear window!
Good video man!!
My stack actually got rid of my drone. It was a 10" stack made from a pipe off of an old pipeline. I got rid of it cause it was home made and had it's imperfections. I'm getting a 8" cat stack soon.
to fill that hole just weld in a sheet of metal that is the same dimensions as the hole , you can also fillet weld the bolt holes too
Figure out what you want an go with it !!! I hav an 8" pipe on my 7.3 an i Love it ya it has a low drone in the cab but hay part of it !!😬👍
Love your truck and your videos keep it up
The 6.0 sounds so good straight piped
I never had these problems with stacks in my pickip
Dual stacks set off to the side, sitting 1 to 2 inches above the cab, minimum cab drone..
Northeast 87 still drones like a mofo that’s what I had for a while
mine isn't all that loud inside the truck... but I never have the windows open. I got A/C for a reason.
sweet truck man clean!
And some of my buddies that got tired of stacks just saved the piece of sheet metal and welded the piece back on and just grinded it down a little then bed lined over it
I am from Australia i have a commodore, with an ls2 and put on a 2.5 inch exhaust most people go for 3 inch. Why do you guys have such large diameter pipes on your trucks, it looks like a 6 inch. Do they drone in the cabin? Do they gain hp? Cheers
PLEASE let me know what size lift and tires your running. I also have a eclb 6.0 and don't know how high to lift it, and when I saw your truck I like the way it looks. Thanks
why am i watching a video about stacks? i have a v6 toyota 😂🤦♂️
I don't even have a car lol
That is a sweet looking truck.....nice one buddy....
So, I'm getting a new bed, 1st done. 2nd, stack points away and slightly higher. 3rd, my stack points backwards and up. I have NO issues then
Where did you get your tip from and what size is it?
What’s That Noise Loud Come From You Exhaust Right When You Fire You Truck On?
“Before I get the video started I’d like to apologize for the ads”
Thanks for heads up
I had a stack for a few years. Mine was four inches higher than the cab. And I put a drain hole at the bottom of the pipe ( rain water to drain out).
nasty 6.0 bro love the build not my style but love it
you earned another sub
don't have to worry about rain if u put a stack flapper on it like old school semi's
Absolutely gorgeous truck bub
thanks for the post i want to run a stack on mu 07 powerstroke how does it sound
Sounds like a jet 😍
Hey allhail6.0 where u get that grille? I have a 2003 f-250 that's the same looking color as yours and iv been wanting a new grille and was just wondering if u painted that one or got it from somewhere
Nice exhaust I did the same type off thing in my truck now everyone is doing the same I might have started a trend with that I think
Ive had twin stacks on my 02 since 2011. Didnt see any on the road back then
That's with a single stack I've had one but my mule ears don't really echo in the cab
You do know that most semi trucks that run 8 inch monster stacks or even stock stacks have a 5 to 10 mm drain hole for rain water/snow to drain from right….?
you could try and weld the plate under the bed so the liner would fit again
Good lookin truck!!
What's the paint color called on this truck. Or paint code?
Don't they have flaps that cover the stacks?
How many inches is your lift and what size tires
Some stacks on big rigs have a cover over them so when cole comes out the cover moved up and stuff. to not cover ur little window buy two stacks for each side of the bed. I have an 02 Ford F-150 and at the end of the year I’m getting a 1996 Ford F-350 and I’ll be putting stacks on it. Don’t care if the truck gets dirty lol pint the truck black they won’t notice!😂
What yeR power stroke is that and what engine does it have sounds great
I know how to wash a vehicle, but thank you. I just wanted to know the negatives about it.
Nice road queen, bro.
only reason I have a stack on my 7.3 is because I live in south texas and we go to the river a lot and go mudding. mind you we drive thru the river. if youre truck turns of on you while you are in water or in mud and you have a turbo. that turbo releases pressure and sucks back. meaning it will suck back all that water and mess your truck up. I see a lot of nice diesels with side mount exaust with big tires and they will not stick their truck in mud or get it dirty. if you get youre truck dirty and stick it in the mud put a stack on it. its worth it and by the way my truck is white and its not black neither does the exaust fumes get in my cab
What kind of front bumper does he have?
I put two on mine that pointed out so I didn't have to deal with water but the noise I'm tottaly with you man I thought about putting semi muffler on but idk yet
Stacks look better when they are taller than the cab. Looks ridiculous when the stacks are even with the cab or below. Makes about as much sense as having the 5 inch straights on my Freightliner Classic XL even with the top of my cab doors for any more than a few days. I had no choice, get exhaust fumes in the cab because of rotted mufflers, or get 48 inch sections to put on so the majority of the fumes stayed out. You want LOUD, that is LOUD.
BRADY SCHROEDER you mean when they're done properly? Who wants that, when you can have a 15 gallon trash can that only comes half way up the glass? That's cool...😞 even by the time i got my first diesel, everybody that was messin with em then started running stacks. Not 10 inch sewer pipes, but stacks. And back then hardly anybody cut em below the cab. So i wanted mine different, which worked VERY well with the added benefit of it being a short bed crew cab. 4 inch from the turbo, 5x18 rolled stainless tip dumping in front of the wheels. Being a dually i followed the fender a bit with the tip, looked and sounded mean as all hell. Like a hellicopter. But you could hardly hear it unless you rolled the passenger rear window down. Also a good way to get irritating drivers, if you can put em on the right at a light or somethin. Clouded my buddy out on his lil moped leaving the county fair. He had to sit for almost a minute before i could even see him. It was too perfect.
Dude. 5” straight pipes on a big truck will make ur ears ring. Most of our trucks have 8” straights and they’re no where near as loud as a 5”
I don't like the single 4" stack, I prefer dual 2" stacks so I can use rain caps
Yes! That's what I plan to do to a first gen
Need to be as big or bigger than the exhaust pipe off of the manifold. Thats what the benefit of having stacks is bigger exhaust and bigger intake = more HP a 2” stack is a waste of time IMO and in the name of HP
Subscribed! Hello fellow Michigander.
could also make the stack even with the top of the cab so it doesnt look ugly
Dude, just weld a square piece of steel in the opening and grind down the weld beads. Not only is this NOT rocket science, but it might not make it to the level of janitorial.
That's a cute pavement princess you got there
Backwoods Boys well duh he's got a 6 blow. the damn things only gonna last about 100k til he blows a head on the thing. should have bought a 7.3
Bulletproof works wonders, my 6.0 is at 200,000 still running strong with no problems. Pull any Chevy or Dodge you put up against it.
Itsyoboi Mr.Flirt most likely cause he'd back a 6.0 before the 7.3
Itsyoboi Mr.Flirt lmao that's why my 6.0 has 600,000 miles and I bulletproofed if last year.
Hahahahahaha!!! Pavement princess!!! Hahahahahaha!!! Love it!..
I have a buddy that has a Cummins and he has dual stacks and we live in north country New York and it snows very heavy and poor basterd has to put buckets during winter season which is 6 months out of the year here
I am thinking about stock on mine & put a exhaust rain cap on it too
most drag strips require diesels smoke to go up so it doesnt lay on the strip
Don’t see why people are real concerned about what other men do with their money and/or their property. If you aren’t paying for it then don’t worry about it.
What the hell is that hideous sound after he started it,like a pinched off exuast, or plugged catalytic converter ,nice!
EGR Exhaust recirculation valve or eghust valve on turbo
It looks brand new
and you can't haul plywood, bark mulch or really anything without possibly catching fire
What size of your tire and wheels
the only reason to put a stack on your truck is because some racing Divisions it is required that you have and upwards facing Exhaust on a truck that blows smoke.
What if my truck is stock? Will I still get smoke?
Yeah dipshit
Love that color on your truck
like the mirrors bro where did you get them I'd like to get that style for my 2006 6.0
Ben Prater eBay
Hey what year is your truck?
1st step to stacks..... wash your truck. Got it lol.
small drain hole in exhaust solves the rain issue.
Fuck it still getting one
And btw Sut is gonna get on your rims bro
dang that long bed looks extra long on an extra cab..lol
what about if you actually use your truck? Maybe the stacks will burn everything you out in it,stacks look cool but not practical
Does it lower your fuel economy
thats one clean 6.0....very sharp man
