Thank you so much Ladies, I really really enjoyed listening and watching you both talk about Maranta Calathea’s, I’ve just brought one and I absolutely love ❤❤❤❤ it it has flowered and has new leaves too. So I’m hoping to get some more leaves and I have two other Calathea’s so, I hope that by watching some videos I will get everything I need to take care of my plants. I’ve subscribed and given you a thumbs up too
Lovely accents! 💚 my kerchoveana cutting didn’t do very well indoors but it’s been on my bathroom windowsill for a couple weeks and it’s given me a leaf already! Good choice and also chopping it helped I think. For the people worried that they cannot have this high-humidity-loving plants in super dry areas… GO AHEAD 🌿 pairing marantas with other plants like the girls say in the video and misting 3-4 times a week keep marantas super lush! Here we range between only 20 to maybe 60% humidity in the rainy days of autumn and I barely have crispy tips. Awesome plants.
I’ve had very little success raising my Lemon Lime in soil so I switched to Leca Semi Hydro and She loves it. Even with a Moisture Meter I still gave too much water. Now that problem plus keeping a constant humidity have been handled with no additional stress. Water propagating them is also hassle free as long as you cut at least 1/2 inch above the node. That also enables you to make a bushier fuller plant. This is many favorite plant because the beauty only intensifies with age. Thanks for the info.
I am obsessed with Prayer plants, and sleep beside them..very creepy in the silence hearing them move around at night when they rustle around with each other,
Thank you so much for making this video, this is one of the best and most informative videos i've seen about Marantas! They are my favourites too, I've had one for about fifteen years (the leuconeura i think, or green rabbits foot?) and i've recently moved house and can't seem to find a spot for the plant that it likes.. As per what you were saying, I probably need to just stop tweaking it's environment by moving it around, and let it acclimatise! Thank you!
I give my prayer plant a steam bath she loves it. Put it in bathroom with hot shower steaming while I sit it on table! For about 45 min. I do this 2 weekly
Thank you so much for this informative video- you reassured me by saying the prayer plant tends to want to spread out horizontally- I thought I was doing somethign wrong😏Great video!💚💚💚💚
I’ve killed so many of these. I was able to keep a huge red one alive for over a year….which somehow made it even worse when it died. I’m not giving up, though. Some were discounted at a local plant store, only $7, it’s lighter colored - so I’m trying again. I repotted it into a Rosebud bio plastic orchid pot (almost like a mesh, not a ceramic pot with a few holes) i have it in my kitchen window several feet under a grow light and near a humidifier. Using distilled water. I’m a believer in keeping most plants on the dry side. Feeling the top few inches of the soil doesn’t make sense to me. That part can be dry, while it’s still too wet in the bottom of the pot. Hoping to avoid this with the orchid pot, though it might mean more frequent watering, extra air circulation to the root system might help me avoid any root rot.
My lemon lime grew beautifully for about 6 months, and then started putting out tiny leaves for all the new growth. Any ideas? I looked at the roots because I was worried it was root rot or something, but the roots look healthy.
It’s normal, don’t worry. That happens especially for new growth at the base of the plant (at least for mine) and as it grows our new leaves, they get bigger. It’s just the first babies :)
I planted a limon lime with red in same pot. They didn't survive. Later, purchased 3 limon lime, 3 red. Two reds ended up with root rot. Saved one. Then had to purchase another red to take advantage of a $5 off coupon at Ace Hardware. The 2" plants are $5.99. I know this seems like a build up to a math question, but it isn't. At Serenity Garden, I had to master the care of the Prayer Plant, for God's sake. You've probably guessed, I have 3 Limon Lime Maranta plants, now in 4" pots and 4 Red Maranta. Three Reds are in 4" pots and one just out of water rehab ,repotted in 2" pot. 🤔 This doesn't add up. Perhaps I purchased another 2" to replace the dead red from root rot. Yes, that's the ticket.
The yellowing might be due to too much direct sunlight and/or too little water OR too much water. I know it’s confusing but mine yellowed because of too much light but my friend’s father’s nearly died because it was drowning in water

en sevdiğim tür dua çiçekleri harika güzel gelişmiş maşallah emeğinize sağlık bende komşu geldim takipteyim 🥰
Hey Great video! Do you guys have any tips for a Red Maranta that is putting out small light green foliage?
I think my plant has been praying for a better spot - think I better move it 🤔😉
Well worth trying new spots if you think your plant is unhappy. They'll reward you with new leaves if they like their home 😊
I just paused the video and went and moved mine 💚
Subscribed!😍
If you have the plant on pebbles would you still water the plant through in addition to keeping the pebbles watered or just do the pebbles?
What happens when your plant has holes in the leaves?

why mine green one i lost all the leaves turned edges yellow and brown and other new leaves curled in and I lost the rest of them what happened
