I can see why you got yourself some subscribers, man. I enjoyed this video. "The dirtiness, the naughtiness, of a turbo" 😂 You're funny too.
You have a unique voice and relaxed speech, like you're not dying for attention.
It was fun when you drove hard, and it actually looked fast on video, which means your Bimmer was dippin' for sure.
About NA vs Turbo, that could have been me talking. Ultimately, NA is the best in my mind. It's about control. It goes at the moment you touch the throttle. And on a racetrack, that's what I want. Shit, on the streets, too.
And you're right, you can anticipate the lag with a turbo and put the throttle down sooner. But NA feels more whole to me. Like it's all one piece. Whereas a turbo feels like something was added, and you just hold on as it rockets through space. It's fun as hell, but not my favorite.
I had a C5Z. It was a BAD muthafuka! Just MEAN and exciting. So was my CTS-V.
But that's gone now, too. I just bought a '23 Elantra N, so like you, I'm in a turbo now. And I can totally live with it. It's so much better in every way than those cars EXCEPT for the pure excitement.
I mean, it still is an exciting, fun car, and I do love it. But it's not a 400hp NA V8. I'm going to eventually have to get another one. But for now, my dad car, my turbo, manual sedan does the job well.
I'll be sure to check out your videos and subscribe 👍
    Thanks again!

Thanks! Im that you enjoyed it.
Yea i know what you mean, turbo engines have a rubberband effect feels almost like youre being pulled along by a bungee cord.
I am slightly jealous of you guys in the US, because youre able to get all these big displacement NA engines that have monster torque figures.
Which is why i think the elantra N will feel quite mundane compared to your CTSV.
What you need to try is something that is turbocharged and puts out big power. Maybe then and only then, you will be truly converted.
Once again thanks for your kind words!

I subbed after the 944 video. Can’t wait to see the update on that one.

      Thanks
We ran into some engine related issues whilst doing the stand-alone conversion.
But now everything should be done and waiting for final tune this week.
If every goes as planned i should be ready to post the final video for it within 2 weeks. Sorry for the delay

I do, but it's so hard to take a good video at night. most of the cameras that I use are unable to give a sharp enough image that I am happy with.
      thanks anyway

      How was the sound?
I spent way too much time playing with the equalizer settings

I've only owned NA motors 91 CRX 2000 Civic si a couple of NA Toyota Tacomas. I never wanted to go turbo but now I'm on the waiting list to trade in my 2022 Corolla Hatchback XSE for either a Type S or GR Corolla for my daily. Maybe my current two cars 2020 GX460 and 2022 Cayman GTS 4.0 in the garage will soon have a turbo bro.

I've heard so many good things about the GR Corolla. In fact, I have actually driven and reviewed the GR Yaris before...not my best video, but I remember the car was good, but didn't blow me away. Maybe it was the augmented exhaust sound and control inputs that turned me off. I plan to revisit the car again soon, and will be sure to make a new video about it.
I would suggest that you try something turbocharged but able to put out big power figures, like 400 to 600hp. I think the small displacement turbocharged engines will always lose out to NA V8s or Porsche flat 6s. So maybe go try a 6 cylinder supra manual. The price point seems right based on your garage. The B58 engine in it is supposed to be very easy to extract more power from, and the shifter is supposed to be very good. I would love to try one myself but they dont exist in Thailand.

@@FizzyMotors. Love your video and I’m glad your continuing to do so keep up the entertaining content. The GR Corolla is a true JDM I really want to experience the Acura Integra Type S is built in Ohio but looks so good in my opinion more mature and has a ton more space in the back seat and cargo. The Civic Type R’s are so hard to get here in the states without paying a premium. Either way it is at this point whoever calls me first with an allocation. The Manual GR Supra was not available until after I got my Cayman but no complains after living with it for almost a year I think it is the best Porsche currently for sale minus the GT cars.
