Some of the more sinister, cunning criminals might intentionally misspell words or use bad grammar to avoid detection or shift focus. Recently, I saw a case where a female killer who murdered a rival used broken English in emails and letters to try to frame a female Polish-immigrant for the crime. I love how Dr Grande talks about these serial killers' personalities and exposes their vulnerabilities and their real personalities. Too many of those creeps build a cult of personality around themselves and manipulate people, or think they have some kind of a "legacy", and the good doctor just cuts right through all of that bullshit and calls them what they are.
I so agree, he doesn't glorify any of these creeps. Intellectuals do that just like they did with that creepy Austrian guy that the intellectuals sprung from prison thinking that somehow the tiger had shed his stripes!
Back in the day, they thought you were a genius if you played computer games. I remember they made a big deal about Zodiac knowing about radians but, like Grande indicated, this is something we could all pick up in a high school geometry class. It's literally 9th or 10th grade material.
I'm blown away by the amount of women who fall in love and fawn over these serial killers. The attraction has to be biologically driven, the killers display an attribute that women find irresistible. Normal women can over ride this attraction through logic and morality, but dealing with the public proves that logic and morality is certainly not part of everyone's being.
@@getjulietyeah the people who would be serial killers now often get caught or killed by law enforcement before they even become a serial killer, after just one or two murders
@@sirstephen9825 I looked it up and it looks like the only possible DNA evidence would be under the stamp of one of the letters Zodiac sent. The police developed a partial DNA profile of it in 2002 but I don't think there's been any new developments.
I think it would have made him mad that those two, average, every day, normal schoolteachers solved his cipher in only two days. As a result, I believe his next ciphers were made of nonsense characters. They were never solved, because they cannot be solved. Psychologically, this would help him restore his wounded ego, and add to the public's intrigue. He wanted everyone trying desperately to solve the ciphers. He wants to be seen as mysterious and brilliant
I used to feel this way. However, the FBI and other code breaking professionals seem adamant his unsolved ciphers do contain msges. I'm not bright enough to explain why, but there's some good videos on youtube regarding the subject. And, not made by fruitcakes. Ironically, the teacher that solved his cipher shared your last name. Also, a cipher key arrived at the Vallejo PD a day after the Harding's solved it. It's thought to be authored by Zodiac, so, he wanted it solved.
frankdrebin , i never knew a code key arrived at VPD but i agree with you ,ive seen those videos on it they're fascinating.I dont believe if cracked it would give his name though,i think he was lieing about that
@@phoneone1371 Yeah, they say only a small portion, in the center of the body of the cipher, contains a msg, the rest is gibberish. I think when it's eventually solved it will be a bit like when Ralphy in A Christmas Story solves his Orphan Annie cipher. Disappointing, it will be another sarcastic taunt at police, or something like "SLAVES BY GUN, BY KNIFE, BY ROPE, BY FIRE". Something he later communicated b/c he couldn't wait for them to solve it, but still wanted the msg conveyed w/o giving up the cipher(s).
missprojected valueing? Love how many of these mental health practicioners seem to have some unresolved underlying issues. A shrink I visited said one patient had an death idealization. He also told me matter of factly about a former patent who commited suicide. Strange therapeutic approach. I mean what purpose would it serve?
Sadly, after reading tons about this case over the years, my conclusion is that the police are never really as smart as they want you to believe they are. The FBI have brilliant people, no doubt, but they are rarely involved early on in cases like this, or at least, years ago they weren't when it counted, which is tragic.
Good points. As the FBI has to be asked to help with investigations by the police, helps to explain why the FBI are not involved at an early stage. That is very unfortunate as the FBI have more experience and resources. Which also speaks to your point about police. The focus needs to be on the victim. Asking for assistance from all agencies is the smart thing to do.
I just don't understand, with all the clues the killer left how the police or FBI did not catch him? No DNA on the letters? No tracing of records, it is just sad that there are unsolved murders
Until now the evidence has shown that practically all known serial killers are sexually motivated. This is the first motivation. The other motivations come after.
Thats 100% . And that is the reason why he stopped so early. He was on top of the police ,playing with them,he realised they cannot do anything to him,he also knew they would catch him if he killed a few times more ,so he decided to stop. Had power, had control, didnt need more, but still played eith them writing laters.
im no doctor but ive been around alot of criminals, my take is he had a short stint in the military after dropping out of high school, then tried to become a cop and was either fired or didnt get the job. so his next best thing was a security job mental hospital , a lot of people went missing in the san fran area in that time period so its hard to say how many he really did kill.
A pretty official group of Ex-LEOs (army intelligence, police, etc) said they found out who he was. His name is Gary Poste and his story reminded me of what you said
The use of radians is a SIN of an attempt to seem intelligent COS he did not implement any further use of trigonometry. He just wanted to confuse the police by sending them off on a TANGENT.
This video creeped me out at the end.... The guy was never caught, he's likely dead now, many people think they know who he is, but an eternal mystery.... I don't like that, unsolved mysteries bother me
I can promise you if I told you the name of the Zodiac killer, you would say “who’s that?” There is solid evidence (DNA, fingerprints, handwriting) just waiting for a suspect to match. Law enforcement has ruled out every credible suspect they’ve had.
An inordinate sum of unsolved mysteries have occurred throughout history, many of which I'm certain you're unawares to and yet would find much more interesting.

Before he could be identified, the Zodiac successfully ran for office, becoming a US Senator from Texas. This way, he could use his political influence to shut down any investigations that might lead back to him
I believe the main suspect died in jail, put there from other charges. Nothing could be proven but the killing stopped. I lived two blocks from where son of Sam made his last kills, two people in Brooklyn. The neighborhood was frantic. They caught him because of those shootings. He was parked in someone’s driveway and they called the police that ticketed his car. Good police work found a ticket was given to someone who’s car was registered in the Bronx that morning. They found the car and looked in the backseat and saw weapons. Waited for the owner to show up and they caught him. His words to the cops were “ what took you so long “. Very creepy times......
25:18 This is the scariest thing about reading Robert Graysmith's book. We meet suspect after suspect that are horrible, dangerous people and each one in turn definitely seems to be a match, but then something proves that it's not them, and the takeaway is that killers just like the Zodiac are everywhere. It would have been nice to catch him, but it would also have only been a drop in the bucket.
I really enjoy when you go over the crime history AND the psychology rather than only the psychology. Adds great context to your explanations and it’s way more entertaining

Excellent take on Zodiac. I tend to agree with Robert Douglas regarding the type of person Z was: if Arthur Lee Allen wasn't the Zodiac, then the zodiac was someone very much like him. Dr Grande hit the nail on the head: "It's frightening to think of just how many people fit the profile"..
Arthur Lee Allen wasn't the zodiac a lot of things shows it such as the footprint on the taxi of paul wasn't the one of arthur and also a lot of people who saw the zodiac killer tend to agree that he isn't arthur so
I lived three blocks from where the cab driver was killed on Washington Street at Fillmore Avenue in Pacific Heights. And dated a girl who lived on Maple Street. I think it was in 1975.
I really like how you list out the events chronologically - it's all very clear and concise - without much deviation or speculation. I find a lot of other true crime analysis tends to lead the audience towards a particular conclusion; I much prefer your format. Keep up the great work!
Was on my way to bed when I read your comment and it really made me laugh, I needed that so I won't have bad dreams, I have enough of them without watching videos about serial killers:)
I am skeptical that the Zodiac targeted women in particular here is why: When he tied up Bryan Hartnell and Cecilia Shepard and stabbed them the woman was stabbed more than the man but...they acted very differently when stabbed. Bryan played dead while Cecilia thrashed about and made as much noise as she could until the end. It could have been this difference in behavior that caused Cecilia to be stabbed more frequently and not the fact that she was a woman. When he attacked Darlene Ferrin and Michael Mageau the woman died and the man survived but...He shot Darlene five times and Michael four times (not much of a difference and Michael was shot first) the reason why Darlene died is because the bullets that struck Michael went through him and struck her too so she got a double dose. Therefore I don't see how you could deduce that he had a greater desire to kill the woman during this incident. When he killed David Faraday and Betty Lou Jensen it is true that Betty was shot more times than David but...David was shot at point blank range while Betty was shot from d distance while she was running away. Again there are valid alternative explanations as to why more force was seemingly used on the female other than the Zodiac had it in for women.
I completely agree with your assessment. I don't think he particularly set his sights up to murder the women any more than the men. Great view of the case!
Yeah i think it's just the fact two of the men lived vs none of the women living. Which as you pointed at can be easily explained. I think he was targeting couples.
exactly. i was surprised to hear him say that. if he wanted to only kill women, why did he target couples and a single man? he'd just target women, period. it makes no sense to me.
I have a possible theory on the “bad grammar” component. As a child in grade school I was hospitalized for behavioral issues. This was at a time when I would have been taught hand writing, and grammar. That was likely the a cause in me having bad spelling/grammar. In the hospital, the school work was mostly math based, and I wound up excelling there. So much so, later on I was moved up grades, and graduated HS two years early. My writing skills are not terrible by average standards, but are when compared to any of my other academic skills. Plus, I have spell check.
Great point Mike! When I had to do a mentorship in college, I sat in real job interviews with my mentor as he interviewed perspective hires. One gentleman who came in was a mathematical genius PHD but his writing was awful. My mentor mentioned this to him and the man responsed that his PhD dissertation was all math based and therefore he didn't need to write. He didn't get the job, by the way.
Iron Fist Films I’ve also found many of us who are math and logic based, don’t really give much importance to writing. To purpose should be to convey the proper information, not make it pretty or technically correct. Spending mental resources concerned about such things seems like a waste.
I remember when I first learned about this case, how his letter that referred to killing the schoolchildren as they got off their school bus sent a chill down my spine. Yet, I wonder if the reason he didn’t kill the woman he abducted was that she had her infant child with her. He seems to have had some change come over him after the Paul Stine murder, in any case. I doubt we will ever see this case solved. Thanks for the analysis, Dr. Grande, and I’m glad to see your concern for the welfare of the English language - so rare, these days! 😄
He was stopped by police officers right after the Stine murder and witnesses saw him from a window as well as the police officers that were able to provide a description and do a composite sketch of him. I think how close he came to being caught he got scared knowing he's flying to close to the Sun and stopped.
There are many who feel the episode in Modesto did not happen at all. I don’t know for certain, but the woman ended up not far from where she claims she was kidnapped. Seems a bit unusual to go through the trouble of a kidnapping and simply bring the victim back to where it started.
@Sunsetsully Awakened He could have read about the Johns claims in the papers (it was reported in detail), as he was not above taking credit for things he didn't actually do. And why bother putting the wheel back on and risk discovery? And who kidnaps a person and brings them back to the place where they were kidnapped? This is why so many are skeptical of the entire incident.
It's interesting that he called himself "The Zodiac Killer." That smacks of narcissism right there. It's also Interesting that the media puts labels on serial killers, too. The killers want the attention and the media gives in mindlessly to their notions.
And interesting he failed to use the Zodiac label in the first letter. Doubtless he then spent hours brainstorming on something that would sound "cool" :) .
I found your analysis very interesting. I'm watching some of your older videos. This one popes up so I clicked on it. So glad I did. Very interesting. It is frightening that so many people thought they were related to the zodiac killer. That is just plain scary! Thank you Dr Grande.
I'm sure eventually they will figure out who zodiac is if they really want to. They have his DNA (assuming the samples from the letters are accurate), it's just a matter of using family tree DNA to find some distant relatives and trace back from there. One of his ciphers was cracked recently, so breakthroughs are possible in this case.
Isn’t it recently theorized to be Ted Cruz, or related too? At least according to Trump’s research. I heard there was a television expose…but they only aired it once. 😮🫢
I realize that this is an older video and that you will probably not see this, but I am really enjoying your criminal profile videos. I hope that you continue to make them.
I have no idea how I found you but I’m so glad I did. All your videos are fascinating and I only trust you and Stephanie Harlowe to truly look at things objectively and give every topic fair analysis. Thank you
Dr. Grande, I love all of your videos and your perspective on mental health issues. Can you pls do a video on the series “Married At First Sight?” It’s a series where three “experts”, all of whom have degrees and licenses in relationship and/or sex therapy, convince ppl to marry complete strangers... at first sight. I’m concerned that the show prioritizes drama over mental health and I think the “experts” have to be in violation for deliberately putting ppl in embarrassing and dangerous (sometimes physically dangerous) circumstances. Your perspective on this popular show would be appreciated.
I hope this show is all fake. I saw it once & felt it cringe worthy. How can people volunteer for marriage. Remember the Dating Game serial killer ? The girl did back out of the date ,but he was the contestant she picked. Thank goodness she had second thoughts !
Wait, what? There´s show where "experts" manipulate random people to marry other random people? It must be fake. Even the most desperate and lonely people would have some dignity to refuse this. It´s like medieval forced marriages. It can´t be legal in our society.
Dr. Grande it must be difficult to see the way ppl misuse terms like "psychotic"& "sociopathic"w/o regard for actual scientific definitions. Thanks for another well-done analysis.
I agree, Zodiac would have been found in 2022. The thing is that he was a sophisticated predator and the police were bewildered because they were using old fashioned methods to search for him. Today, with cameras on every corner, he surely would have been caught.
I grew up in the area where he did the killings. Back when I was in grammar school, he sent a note to the police indicating that he might target children from school buses. So we had police cars following our school busses. Weird.
In my opinion I believed it was Arthur Leigh Allen. Thank you Dr. Grande I am getting addicted to watching your videos. Even on cases unfamiliar. The relaxed voice sometimes is the last thing I hear before sleep. So many big cases that I enjoy your analysis. Sometimes I wish there was more of a personal hypothesis, but usually there is.
Why is death the ultimate insult for a narcissist? Is it an insurmountable proof of the delusional base of their grandiosity? Is it because no matter how entitled to everything they are, they cannot obtain assured immortality? Does it challenge their false identity's strength and uniqueness by triggering the commonplace fear of the unknown? I'm offering my own conjectures but I can't be too confident yet I have noticed this idea of death and aging being a huge trigger.
At the worst, at some twisted level, maybe they believe the whole world literally ends when they die. So they must always go on. Them being the ultimate center of it. Everyone/ thing else is just fluff for them to use and abuse.
The narcissist can't die. Admission that they are mortal would cause the whole hollow structure to collapse. The world lives on; the narcissist is gone and soon forgotten. And that runs counter to any narrative of grandiosity.
because how dare nature make them do what they don't want to - age and die they didn't sign up for this! they didn't give any agreement to die! wtf god?!
Dr. Grande, your choice of topics, and your well put together and consice presentations are truly a blessing in hard times like these. Great video doc. Just one question; what did you think of the David Fincher movie about the case, "Zodiac"? I think it's his best. And am fascinated with his approach, that is, his movie is not really about the Zodiac case, but obsession. And how obsession affected three lives. The lead detective, a top crime reporter, and a somewhat odd cartoonist, who became convinced he could solve the case, even at the cost of his second marriage.
Your Detailed analysis is insightful and entertaining. Society craves certainty in the face of random horror. This explains the media circus surrounding the pandemic. Your calm reasoned approach finds a sympathetic audience at this time, sir.
Yes! I believe him to be one of most notorious, yet tragically under recognized killers. Probably because it was so long ago. His exploits need to be brought to light for everyone nowadays that already have an interest in serial killers.
Yes, Dr. Grande! I've been saying that both Son of Sam and the Zodiac were both what we know now as incels, killing that which they could not have for themselves.

I lived in Napa while the Zodiac was on his crime spree. He killed people at Lake Berryessa, Vallejo and in San Francisco. At the same time there was a copy cat killer called the Golden State killer who was just caught last year. He was in his seventies. So the Zodiac could still be alive. There was also the Trail side killer around the same time. He is in prison and in his 80's.
Dear Dr. Grande,. I greatly appreciate your recent content surrounding well known repeat offenders of serious crimes. I particularly respect your opinions being offered simply as an individual who has experience in what is considered a field related to criminology. You are filling a niche between psychology and criminology that has yet to be so well presented in this particular medium. I hope you continue creating this content. I would be willing to wager that many of your subscribers feel the same. Thank you for your time and effort.
Have you ever seen the documentary Grey Gardens? I know it’s quite old but I’d be interested in hearing your thoughts on those two and their relationship.
Nice suggestion. Ya know, I've had that dvd for over 15 years and I still never finished it. Not saying it was "bad", just there's something about those two that prevented me from finishing.
Comment 7: 35 views. I wish I could have more notice as to your choice of topics so I could read up before, rather than after. I genuinely feel sorry for these. However in watching a video on young Bob Dylan, being interviewed in a crowd, someone commented on UA-cam they identified the Zodiac in the crowd. Incidentally I saw a look alike of myself in the crowd. 😄that was around 1969. Thankyou for the videos, 😃. It gives some perception into the Pscyhe. 😀
The Zodiac seems to have been an "assassin" type of offender, as categorized by the FBI. His preferential method was clean and cool. He escalated at Lake Berryessa with the very personal stabbings, even stating, "I'm getting nervous" as he bound the victims. After two of the three male victims had survived, he singled out a male cab driver and reverted to his "assassin" method to prove that he could kill a man when the media had stated otherwise. Politics stood in the way making progress with the rudimentary forensics available at the time. Hopefully the truth is eventually known for the surviving victims, families and law enforcement that have lived with this for a half century and closure can be had.
His best analysis yet. I've always been very interested in the Zodiac Killer and have read the book as well as watched the two movies about the Zodiac. Very interesting.
Very thorough and interesting video. It's unnerving that he was never caught. It was helpful hearing his criminal thinking got him locked up or that he was dead. Thank you.
Dr. Todd. As always great content. I think a case that may continue to create compelling dialogue on this channel would be if you did an assessment/review of Canadian Killer, Luca Rocco Magnotta. Thank you again Dr. Todd Grande.
Joe sloan ugh, THAT guy! Jeez, evil and cold as ice. If Dr. Grande takes it on, I’d also like to hear a theory of Magnotta’s mother tacked on to round things out.
Top of the morning Dr. Grande, I have literally tried to analyze why I find your videos so appealing ( other than my attraction to your shirts..lol)?. I've decided it doesn't matter. I find your videos a happy part of my day, every day. It definitely caught my attention when you mentioned the sending of a piece of shirt. In any event, please keep it up because I look forward to watching everyday.
I’m glad some people still look at killers like the Zodiac Killer seriously. True crime’s been ruined lately for me because of people treating these people like pop culture icons. I’m probably most annoyed recently with all the people claiming to be related to the Zodiac Killer. There’s about a dozen online claiming to be his child, or relative, and even a book was published by someone claiming to be his son.
Thank you for all your video's. They are not only informative but interesting. I appreciate all the thought and time you put into them. I would love to hear you talk about The Golden State killer/Joseph DeAngelo.
What memories this brings back! I live in San Francisco, and had just begun work at KGO Radio, in May of '69. Our radio morning talk show host, also hosted a program on KGO-TV, earlier in the morning. It was on that program that "the Zodiac," had requested a conversation with Melvin Belli. Mr. Belli was not shy about public appearances, and agreed to appear on the program. To my knowledge, it was never determined if the man who called the program was, indeed, "the Zodiac." Whoever it was, called the program several times, but would speak for only a few minutes, before hanging up ... sometimes after making a screaming sound ... only to call back, again. He said that he wanted to meet with Mr. Belli, at a destination in Daly City, which is immediately south of San Francisco. He specified that no police were to be at the destination. (Yeah, RIGHT!) Every media outlet in the area, immediately, dispatched a "news car/truck" to KGO, to follow Mr. Belli, and Jim Dunbar, to the location. We were all sure that those vehicles were loaded with San Francisco, and Daly City, police ... along with representatives from every other applicable law-enforcement branch of government. Not surprisingly, the "caller/Zodiac," never appeared. I had not ever heard that the calls were traced back to someone who was being treated for a mental problem. However, that would make sense.
Very interesting video Dr. Grande! I have a question for you that I'm sure won't or rather can't be answered. Professional criminal profilers use what's called a threshold or investigative focus report when describing an offender's characteristics to the police. This report is designed to tell the police where they should focus their investigation in search for the unknown offender. For example, you mentioned that he may have known the second female victim, so that would be something you could recommend the police follow-up on. If you were to give an investigative report, where would you suggest the police look??
There was an investigator, a retired police detective (sorry I don't recall his name) who spent years pursuing the identity of the zodiac killer. He was pretty certain he figured out who he was. The problem seemed to be tying evidence to the killer. As Dr. Grande mentions, many of these criminals wind up behind bars due to other crimes committed. Very likely could have been the case here.
I read and watched a movie about the zodiac killer and it was a journalist that pursued the identity of this killer and whom the killer kept in contact with him .A person who was in gaol years later by the name of Allen but sorry I can’t remember his last name ,was thought to be the zodiac killer and who later died in prison .At the time it was thought he had killed many more and the killings stopped from the time he was imprisoned .
Excellent video as always! Dr. Grande - I don't know if you've ever heard of him, but here in Britain there was an awful case around 19 years ago involving a really famous, popular TV presenter and comedian, Michael Barrymore. To give you a brief background, Barrymore was married to a lady for around 20 years, then came out as gay (to much support from the public). One night, in 2001, he invited a bunch of people back to his house to continue drinking after they'd been to the pub. One of these guests was a man named Stuart Lubbock whose body was 'found' floating in Barrymore's pool. He was found to have 'horrific' internal injuries (anal). Nobody has ever been brought to justice for his murder. I'd be so interested in hearing your analysis!
I am huge fan, Dr. Todd Grande. I know you mostly focus on sinister and/or tragic cases and events, but you might smile a bit more. Perhaps at the end. I really liked your "deleted clips" at the end of the video about D: B: Cooper! Just something to consider. Anyway, thanks and keep it up. Kind regards from Denmark.
Hi Dr Grande. I was wondering if you could look at a couple of interesting cases on this side of the pond. The cases of Peter Sutcliffe, the Yorkshire Ripper who was interviewed by the police 9 times, the Shannon Matthews abduction where her mother Karen Matthew's staged a on abduction of a 9 year old,and two murderous couples the Wests and the Moors Murders. I am interested in your take on the perpetrators of these horrific crimes.
Since the latest 340 cipher had been decoded recently, and the television broadcast had been mentioned in it, I think we can definitely conclude that the killer had been watching. it might have been his biggest success in life, he got on tv... sort of.
I always interpreted the grammar and spelling mistakes as entirely intentional, fundamentally designed to make cracking the cyphers harder. By adding additional letters on the end of words, it would make finding patterns in the code far more complex, and thus, trickier. Also find it bizarre how Toschi and Graysmith’s favourite suspect (Arthur Leigh Allen) misspelt words in Christmas cards because he thought it was funny. I.e. spelling Christmas as “christmass” - similar to how the Zodiac did in his letters.
I agree with the intentional misspelled words. Zodiac was clever, and he obviously enjoyed his cat-and-mouse games with the media.
Yes he does 😂
I so agree, he doesn't glorify any of these creeps. Intellectuals do that just like they did with that creepy Austrian guy that the intellectuals sprung from prison thinking that somehow the tiger had shed his stripes!
He really did take the zodiac killer down a few pegs.
Genealogy tests and DNA testing gives me hope that cold cases like this will become solved more and more frequently.
Yes, DNA and video cams have brought down violent crime rates, including serial killings. 👍

I guess the answer is no. Or they're not releasing that information.

Disappointing, it will be another sarcastic taunt at police, or something like "SLAVES BY GUN, BY KNIFE, BY ROPE, BY FIRE". Sadly, after reading tons about this case over the years, my conclusion is that the police are never really as smart as they want you to believe they are. The FBI have brilliant people, no doubt,
but they are rarely involved early on in cases like this, or at least, years ago they weren't when it counted, which is tragic.
They want to take the short cut more often then they care to admit at times.

I can promise you if I told you the name of the Zodiac killer, you would say “who’s that?” There is solid evidence (DNA, fingerprints, handwriting) just waiting for a suspect to match. Law enforcement has ruled out every credible suspect they’ve had.

I doubt ANY cases are as interesting as Zodiac. Or will ever be.

We meet suspect after suspect that are horrible, dangerous people and each one in turn definitely seems to be a match, but then something proves that it's not them, and the takeaway is that killers just like the Zodiac are everywhere. ...EEk Gads!....truly a terrifying thought
Julie Nguyen, right, one can’t trust a person who doesn’t have any respect for the rules of grammar.
I am skeptical that the Zodiac targeted women in particular here is why:
When he tied up Bryan Hartnell and Cecilia Shepard and stabbed them the woman was stabbed more than the man but...they acted very differently when stabbed.
Agreed!

Is that why he got away? Cuz he was such a child?
I agree in that he was actually average in intellect because we are talking about a time where the forensic science was not that advance.
Interesting. So is your kill count higher or lower than 5?
Very intriguing point. There were many long-term childhood hospitalizations in the first part of the century. Your theory is quite valid. I like it.
That is very interesting, because of course it’s easy to imagine the Zodiac might have been in some sort of institution as a child or teen.
@usmc 03retired yeah that is also likely. It's very possible that was done by another sick individual
There are many who feel the episode in Modesto did not happen at all. I don’t know for certain, but the woman ended up not far from where she claims she was kidnapped. Seems a bit unusual to go through the trouble of a kidnapping and simply bring the victim back to where it started.
@David Mitnick who cares? Unless he had some interesting theory to share, his opinion is entirely irrelevant.

I'm sure eventually they will figure out who zodiac is if they really want to.
It’s the one thing they can’t manipulate or have any control over.
Death indeed humbles everyone. Probably hard to cope with for narcissist.

The resemblance of Dr Grande and the police sketch is uncanny...
Your assessment of Albert Fish would be quite interesting.
Yes! I believe him to be one of most notorious, yet tragically under recognized killers. Probably because it was so long ago. His exploits need to be brought to light for everyone nowadays that already have an interest in serial killers.
Sounds like a real jerk. The more I learn about that guy, the more I don't care for him.
@@seanseanston We have real Norm fan here!
He's the freak that also had hundreds of pins in his body inserted over many years!
@@vintagebrew1057 i think he was the sickest of them all since he tortured little girls
That grammatical murder comment has me rolling
Me too! Truly no respect for the laws of grammar!
Yes, he must be really stupid. His syntax is little better indicating poor education.
The misspellings were on purpose...
Yes, Dr. Grande! I've been saying that both Son of Sam and the Zodiac were both what we know now as incels, killing that which they could not have for themselves.
Dear Sir , take my respect. My English is not so good . I want to say your voice are so relaxing and calm and sound so good. and I love the way how you break down the critical things. take my respect and love from Bangladesh.
You are helping us to remain emotionally stable with your analysis; keep up the good work!!
Dr.Grande, is it Christmas?!? All the amazing true crime analyses! I’m gonna cry 🙏🙏
Yay! Haven't been able to sleep all night, its 7am. I've requested this video before, so I'm happy to see it!
Edit: "his ability to murder grammar." Amen Dr.Grande
Your sense of humor has really come through in the past few videos! I enjoy your videos even more so now!
How witty is Dr Grande's sense of humour though 😂😂 He just throws it in there and continues talking like he never said it.
I love it! Fits my sense of humor perfectly!
@robertb3773 what? Am I whose ex wife?
Dr Grande looks like the sketch of the Zodiac Killer. LOL the side-by-side cracked me up! Good video, as always!
One of your best episodes, Dr. Grande!
Thanks sincerely!
He is in prison and in his 80's.
i used to think the gsk was the zodiac lol
Wow! This is one power-packed analysis!
Dear Dr. Grande,.
I greatly appreciate your recent content surrounding well known repeat offenders of serious crimes. I particularly respect your opinions being offered simply as an individual who has experience in what is considered a field related to criminology. It adds extremely valuable information to the community this content appeals to.
Top Tier Teal Tipped Spears this would be so good!
I’d love to hear him do Grey Gardens! They did a movie based on the documentary addressing the making of the first.
Great suggestion!!
Yes. It’s got a vote from me, too
This would be fascinating!
Nice suggestion. Ya know, I've had that dvd for over 15 years and I still never finished it. Not saying it was "bad", just there's something about those two that prevented me from finishing.
As per usual ..GREAT breakdown, DG 👍...I think he possibly made those grammatical errors intentionally...GREAT CHANNEL !
"And probably a bed wetter."
Well that took an interesting turn...
Yep, it sure did.
I know what happened to the Zodiac killer. He was killed by Dirty Harry: "Did I fire five shots or six? ..."
Thank you.
would you ever do a video about "gang stalking" and the people who call themselves "targeted individuals"?
Starbucks Activist Yes, this is very interesting. Troubling individuals
I love this one Dr Grande! Great analysis 👏🏼👏🏼
Dr.
I put your videos on to fall asleep. Not that you’re boring!!! You’re voice is calming and these are super interesting!!! Thanks for making these
Top of the morning Dr.
Haha. All the little groupies that want to crawl into their heads and fix them. Sickening.
I find it totally bizarre myself. Who the hell wants to believe that good old Dad was an infamous serial killer?!?
Thank you for all your video's. They are not only informative but interesting. I appreciate all the thought and time you put into them. I would love to hear you talk about The Golden State killer/Joseph DeAngelo.
Disrespecting the rules of grammar is the real capital offence.
"Antigrammatical Personality Disorder."
Thank you for your videos, Dr. Grande! So glad I came across your channel.
(Yeah, RIGHT!)
Every media outlet in the area, immediately, dispatched a "news car/truck" to KGO, to follow Mr.
Who was it or the cop?
He isnt in jail. And he is not dead.
@@kathykline7202 Kathy!
A very interesting talk, as always. Thanks very much.
I think some of his cyphers are made up nonsense, that's why no one has been able to solve them. I've read up on the Zodiac case and I see similarities between Zodiac and the Unabomber. Also, I really believe that Author Lee Allen is a strong suspect
True, but you know the original spelling of Christmas was, in fact, Chriist Mass--the Mass celebrating the birth of Christ.
Thanks doc, another great vid... I love these unsolved criminal profiling episodes... there awesomeness personified‼️👍🏻👌🏻😄 I agree with Grande... Son of Sam has eerie similarities... Crimes are both 'distant/impersonal' & with a weapon from a range...
Lawrence Klein(born April 29, 1924) lived at 217 Eddy St in S.F. in 1969. He had lived in Oakland 1964-1969. That S.F. address is near the Curran Theater where Zodiac hailed a taxi driven by Paul Stine.
