Great review, as always. I currently game the p7mc Pw-7 and the p770 7-5 irons. The double 7 iron blend my yardages perfectly. "Short" 7 iron goes 165-170. "Long" 7 iron, 175-180.
Interesting! I’ve not heard of someone or considered using double 7’s before, really cool idea. I game P770’s with modus 120s and they are incredible.
@@Andy-on7ym the double 7 irons just was where the distance gap was right. I think the speed slot in 770s starting in the 7 iron has everything to do with it along with the loft being stronger. I also don't like the feel of the 770 irons without the speed slot. The 8-pw feel hard to me.

Shinier chrome, same head shape, still short in distance. Glad I sold my P7MC set last year. They look beautiful though. They are super soft and take dings very easily.
Yes, I am still playing my hogan forged blades from 2003. Forged irons alway ding up bad if they are a good forging.
I'd love to try those MBs but I'd also be terrified to see the mess I'd make hitting them. gorgeous clubs.
I had to double check and see what year this video was filmed. TM released the same products.
Sound was noticeable . as always you have a lovely swing. Hope you used it in the past to play some competitive golf.

I think the MC is the most stunning iron I’ve seen, but being a 13 handicapper, and playing the R9 TP stiff shaft for 13de now; I’ll probably get on better with the 770’s.

im in the same boat 13 handicapped can shoot 75 twice a year and can shoot 100 twice a year lol.. I'm playing the cobra forged tec from 2020 and honestly, I just want to play something that looks sexy to me... i wanna play the 7mc it's beautiful. I wanna look in my bag and get excited... im going to go and try out some more players like irons and I think im just gonna do it... im curious if it will even make that big of a difference at our level. i will def feel when I don't hit it centred... and will stop having flyers on occasion

Something about TM transition from hosel to club head that is off putting to me not sure what it is but visually looks different, odd to me.

how many new irons do taylormade make in one year?
As someone who is an avid Mizuno iron player, how does the forged Taylormade compare to Mizuno when it comes to feel?
I had the last generation PM7MC's and to me who has played Mizuno blades (MP 18) they challenged the Mizuno to the "nothing feels like a Mizuno" crown
They felt awesome. I only changed out of them due to slipping a couple of discs and finding the Titleist T100s irons a bit easier to use
P7mc blade length the same as the 2020 version? That was my only gripe with the previous version, literally no difference between the Mc and mb, 1 degree of loft, that’s it.
Great review as usual, I just brought the 770’s this year. Are the newer ones a lot better? Should I be thinking of changing them already? I absolutely love my set, my hc has reduced significantly since getting the clubs and putting in a lot of practice…
I don’t think you’ll notice any difference with these new 770s. Also these look too much like 790. Keep yours.
I guarantee there is no difference. Just the outside looks a little different

Maybe I have this wrong, but I think that if there is data to show a certain spread of contact points on the club face for a certain level of golfer, doesn't it make sense to spread the majority of weight within the club head in just those aresa, rather than perimeter weighting which is a one size fits all solution. Of course better golfers would benefit from a more fokused weight dispersion whilst high handicapers would benefit from a wider spread of weight.Relative weight dispersion can be kontrollen by club head size.

Michael, which combo set would you choose to create- Taylormade or Titliest? Long irons with forgiving set, blade for short irons!
Why not both? I play Titleist T100S 6-PW with Taylormade P770 4 and 5 Iron for a bit more confidence and forgiveness 👌
AMT White Shafts in all of them.
@@DrVegiAlex I would keep the same brand, I would do titleist t100 4-6, then CB 7-PW with KBS stiff shafts and I play vokey wedges now PW, 52, 56 &60. Taylormade setup would be 770 4-6, then 7MC 7-PW- keep my vokeys

I thought the same thing being a 18 handicap. However after gaming the p7mcs I’ve noticed that i hit the ball than my game improvement irons
@@alexchavez1418 Fantastic to hear... I've recently swapped from GIs to some forged Mizunos and I am hitting it better, though not sure if this is down to me improving or not
@@alexchavez1418 how's that? I am currently using P790s and I've been thinking to switch to a combo P7MCs (6-4) and P7MBs (PW-7). but I'm afraid of it.

TM irons just aren’t good
Forged irons are forged irons imo. Mizunos feel a shade softer, but my distances are more consistent with my Mc/mb combo than they are with my mp 20 mbs
I played TM irons until a couple of years ago (switched to i210s) and tbh they had issues with manufacturing build quality. No idea if that still is a concern. I did try the previous model of the P770s and P7MC, liked the P770s but it performed no different to my i210s and the i210s felt better. Hated the P7MC real hard feeling in my hands - but it was cold on the day I tested!
As for the new models, MB is just beautiful, P7MC OK (bit fussy at the back) and the P770s are as pretty as they always were. Only problem for me with the MB is that even the 7i looks scarily small, so I am guessing the 5i would be the stuff of nightmares. That is why TM has the MC, should blend nicely with the MB.
