    What shaft was used for this session?

    "Unforgivness" to an pretty great extend means workability for a tour pro or very good shot shaper....770 for example is simply so constant and forgiving...but its still great club for most 5-10 or ever scratchers...

    Is it worth it for beginners to get fitted? I’ve only been playing for 4 months and love the game. I know clubs won’t fix my swing so I’m working on that as well. But, will I be wasting money on a fitting?

    • @banditbaker1675
      @banditbaker1675 Рік тому

      IMO it's more important to have clubs fitted if you are a beginner than it is for an experienced golfer. An experienced golfer will have the ability to adapt their swing to suit the clubs, whereas a beginner will struggle to make clubs that don't fit work. The "fitting" doesn't need to be too in-depth but ensuring that the clubs are the correct length, weight, and flex will definitely ensure that the beginner isn't held back by ill-fitting sticks.
      As the golfer progresses with their game and becomes more consistent then a fitting can become a little more in-depth to ensure that the clubs are optimised for their swing DNA.

    Comparing P770 and P790 how much more forgiving IF P790 are? 2023 both looks so similar it is a nice combo set bit on the othher nad are P790 that much more forgiving to put 4,5,6i 770, 7,8,9,P P790? Thanks

    • @DrMetalpin
      @DrMetalpin Рік тому

      I’d put the larger P790 as the longer clubs, say 4,5,6. P770 for the 7,8,9,PW. Maybe that’s just me, but I feel more comfortable hitting with it that way.

  • @hbyrdut

    I heard on another youtube channel that the P7MC is more forgiving than the P770 because the P770 doesn't have perimeter weighting and it looked like that might be true in your test since your distance was more consistent with the P7MC. What do you think?

      Not sure what channel that is you’re referring to but they obviously have no idea what they’re talking about.
      Speedfoam. Speedpocket. Inverted come. All aid in helping out on mis-strikes. The MC is miles tougher to hit than a hackers club as a result

    Do the same test with 770 on grass because a fat shot will skip right into the ball. I wish I could hit these in real turf before I buy

      Good note. We do offer a 30 day play guarantee that allows golfers to play with the irons for 30 days and return them for full store credit if they end up changing their mind.

    How disapointing for the P770. A 15 yard gap on slight miss hits 91 mph swing speed VS in your Most Consistent Irons video the JPX 921 Tour was going just as far with a 90mph swing but only had a 3 yard gap. The JPX Tour might as well be a blade with as small as it is, to have it go as far + have better dispersion is doesn't bode well for P770s. You can even look at you guy's Ultimate Players Distance video and see the Rouge ST Pro leaps and bounds more consistent while averaging 2 yards less but with a 82 mph swing, which I could only imagine would jump 10ish yards an increase of 8mph swing speed. Shame, I was really hopeful fo the P770.

      Always difficult to compare when the testers are different people and have different swings, angle of attack, etc. The most objective type of testing for comparing clubs would be from robotic testing as done by Cool Clubs. Happy golfing!

    A 1.21 followed by a 1.38 duck hook. Come on guys. Testing clubs - not much value there.
