I loved this video, thank you, Margaret. I’ve been selling and shipping randomly on eBay since 1999, but now that I’m up scaling into a real business, this was wonderful and timely information. ❤

I'm a new seller, and altho I've watched sev "how to ship on ebay" videos, I still found some of it "clear as mud." Lol. Even tho USPS has now changed to Ground Advantage, thanks to your video I now know how to ship!! I SO much appreciate your clear instructions!!
I started selling on ebay when it was first established - to earn extra money as a side business since I was still working full time. About 11 years ago my life took a detour and I stopped. I still have my account and some inventory I had previous acquired from estate sales and auctions, most of what I deal in are vintage items. I now need to get started again to at least get rid of the old inventory. I hope the policies haven't changed too much or the market for the items. But I've decided to bite the bullet and force myself to get to work - right now with Winter here and confinement should be a good test period.
Great tips & I get this. I wish the eBay people would teach sellers HOW to package items so they aren't broken. I keep seeing ship for cheap; how to ship spending the least amount of money, BUT I buy at least 30 jewelry boxes a year, and at minimum, 5 are completely broken, 5 are damaged, and 5 I wonder how they weren't destroyed or broken.
Great video.. Shipping angst and confusion has to be the No. 1 reason people decide to not sell on ebay, it's always changing, so many considerations and variable, it can be overwhelming.
I just found your channel today and I thank you for sharing this valuable information! I subscribed to your channel. I was prolonging selling on ebay because of all this confusing shipping details...but you made it simple and motivated me!!

Keep in mind Usps raised their shipping prices for priority first class etc. Resellers need make adjustments also EBay have also raised their prices too.✌🖖🎃
How/when do I pay for shipping if I’m offering free shipping to the buyer? Is this done through EBay and eBay charges me or do I pay through the USPS site when I schedule the pickup? Thank you in advance for your help!

I download the QR code after an item sells, then they scan it at post office to print the shipping label there, put on package and I’m out of there in a few minutes, if there’s no line. when I sell locally for someone to "pick up", I will meet them at a busy location down the street from me. If it's an expensive item, I will meet them at a Fire department or police station parking lot.

Let say a buyer paid $5 for shipping, but when I purchase a shipping label I get a discount, I ended paying only $4 for the label. Who keeps the extra $1? Does ebay keeps it? Or does the seller keeps it?
