    That was really cool seeing the fuel barn, I was stationed there in 90' and 91' with the Navy, I was the fuel king out at the runways.

    Thank you K Vex I see a lot of the job hasn't changed at all but I also see a lot of new stuff there also. We used to drive the D8 dozers pulling 5000 gal. sled tankers hauling fuel out to Willy when the hose line was pulled. Back then the hoses were stored on 50 foot long sleds stored up in the pass. We didn't have the fancy hose rollers or fuel trucks. Laying and pulling the hose line was a bear of a job we didn't look forward to do. The Lab hasn't changed at all. Thank you again. Where can we go to find salaries of the fields offered through PAE, specifically the fuels field?

    Hey there, I like your videos. I just applied on the PAE site for the Fuels Operator position, hoping to hear back from someone about that someone soon. Any advice for getting a job and working in Antarctica?

      @@ethanpolcyn4318 I got an email back recently. They told me that they liked my resume but they weren't going to hire me. Makes me wonder what exactly they're looking for since my job right now is very mechanical and I am a part of fueling operations on a regular basis. Oh well, it was worth a shot 🤷🏻‍♂️

      Oh boy, I applied a few weeks ago for a position with GHG and a few others with Gana-a'yoo. Hoping I hear back from them soon but I'm not horribly confident they'll want me for the jobs.

    How a Canadian can go work in Antarctica ?

    • @decam5329
      @decam5329 3 роки тому

      Canada doesn't have an Antarctic station. But if you have experience one of the other nations (U.K., N.Z., U.S.A., or Aus) might take you on.
