- Dr. Rowe shows how to get quick sciatica leg pain relief in a chair.
These exercises are especially good for relieving sciatic leg pain from sitting too long, or if you find that seated exercises are easier for you to do.
We'll focus on the main causes of sciatica, which include a lumbar herniated disc, disc bulge, stenosis, and piriformis syndrome (aka pseudo-sciatica).
All of these exercises are easy to do, require no equipment other than a chair, and can be done at home and/or work.

I can't afford to find a good doctor for diagnosis. But I have talked to many older gentlemen with sciatica, had strokes , and heart attacks. These simple steps are too powerful. Wish more people can get ahold of this particular video.. I learned alot about myself and my conditions with all you guys knowledge. Daily habits make who you are. When ever I sit or get free time I'm doing all these. I'm 19 and don't know much besides what's given to me but this video here just changed my life and attitude at a nick of time. Dr. Rowe you have made my day! I have been suffering with Sciatica type pain for the last several months. I’ve been for treatment with a Chiropractor and an Osteopath. I’ve been diligent with exercises they have both given me, as well as a few I saw on UA-cam. None of that has given me the relief I got by doing the few exercises on this video of yours!! This video shows the importance of stretching, probably daily is recommended, for me. I got sciatiac/SI left sided leg pain sitting on a kitchen chair without a cushion while doing computer work. So painful into my left ankle. I got almost immediate relief of my symptoms while watching this video. Thanks you Dr. Rowe for your informative information!

Dr. Rowe so fortunate to have found your videos. Have had Sciatica for a few years from an injury doing Pilates. Tried Physical Therapy exercises for the SI Joint and eventually had relief. I think this is the last of your sciatica/hip/lower back videos I've watched. They've all been very good. This one goes into my "top 10". I do one each day over 5 days, and also do some upper body strength exercises. Then have a rest day. Then do the next over another 5 days. I'll definitely continue doing these even after I completely fix myself. Getting there...
I try and do these exercises in the morning and also go for a walk in the afternoon. Even managed to do an e-bike/pedal assist ride at the weekend.

Omg. I literally could NOT stand up straight today and get out of bed to even go to the bathroom. Woke up with this unbearable pain on my left hip out of nowhere, I got so worried for not being able to move so I bumped into this video, exercised on the floor next to my bed (that’s the place I could reach!)
Suddenly I was able to stand up straight again and walk. The JOY! of pain relief made me feel like I should leave a comment and say THANK YOU! 🙌🤩

Great adaptations. I'm looming at these for my 95 yo mother. She broke her arm and I believe she has sciatica from sitting all day now. I believe shell be able to do all but the lifting
You're always authentic Doc. Presenting genuine guidance that's been so helpful to me.
I had the worst of sciatica early 2019 falling down and then another injury on top of it. There was a cyst in there too that had to go. I had surgery and in hindsight have no regrets.
At 64 I'm active but I am stiff and cramp often. Mostly hammies and feet.
I've possibly had more injuries than Evel Knievel... Really !
And all your techniques come at the perfect time.
Holding stretches is where I fail. I cramp painfully and my legs have done that my entire life. Even as a runner all was good until holding a stretch. 🤔
Or just treading water and swimming was brutal.

For the last 16 months I’ve been in serious pain. I’ve had 2 lumbar shots, 2 SI joint shots, ablation , PT, acupuncture and I’ve seen 2 neurosurgeon and a chiropractor. One surgeon says surgery and one one says no surgery. I trust the one who said no surgery. The other neurosurgeon was arrogant and I wasn’t too fond of him. Even on pain pills , nothing worked. I’m now on Percocet and celebrex which seems to help a little.
I’ve only on day 2 of your stretches and I can feel a difference. I’m not expecting a miracle but the stretches seem to help. I’ll post again in a week to let everyone reading this how things are going. I see my pain doctor next week and I hope to tell her I am having some success.

Fran. Yes I had a bad experience with a pain management doctor recently too. Just had shot today. I wish you well. You are suffering. I think a good surgeon will help you. I am hearing of no shit help you need surgery. People love the results of the surgery. It's done in one day typically.

For the first time in 16 months there is continued improvement. Pushing the painful hip to the other side seems to be helping a lot. Whatever is on a nerve seems to be moving. And hands on the hips and stretching backwards are my favorites.
I’ve been in pain for so long I believe I have to strengthen the muscles in my back. I’ve been walking bent over for so long it will take time to strengthen the muscles.
Looking forward to not Percocet and celebrex.

I dont have pain, just a tingling sensation that goes from my lower butt to my foot. Feel it most in my ankle and foot and when my leg or foot experiences a temperature change. Thanks for the video, these streches seem to be helping
