For a year I've not been able to walk any great length of distance, and even around the house I have needed to take regular breaks from standing as my sciatic pain becomes unbearable after only a couple of minutes. After a recent flare up of lower back pain and immobility, I found your channel, and this video, and I started doing the suggested exercises over for the last three days. The transformation in my ability to walk and be balanced is remarkable. I've got from struggling to find a position to sit/lie/stand in without pain to being able to walk around the house and up and down stairs pain free, and I'm off painkillers and have been able to sleep for the first time in a long time. I cannot thank you enough for making your expert knowledge available and accessible. I've liked/subscribed/hit the notification bell in support of your channel and I've also purchased your 28 day back health and wellness program in preparation for lasting rehabilitation once I'm more mobile and stronger. I can't thank you enough.the glute exercise, really works.i was in so much screaming pain,my cats would run away 😢. I'm going to keep up with with your exercises.its nice not screaming in pain.
1- Hand to Heel Rocking 2-Lower Abdo squeezes 3-Isolated Glute squeezes 4-Lower Abdo holds 5-Glute Holds - Bridge 6-Bonus - Hanging half Very useful exercices. I find when I do the butterfly pose (open legs), I can easily find a way to squeeze my glutes without contracting my hamstrings etc. Mille mercis pour ces exercices précieux.
I'm learning SO much. NO PT session anywhere has ever taught me this much. In fact, they teach you nothing - they just tell you what to do, walk away and go eat donuts in the breakroom. I hated going to PT / but I LOVE THIS!
i agree my pt send you to there assistant pt and then you get different one and most of the time the assistant is nothing more than a gym teacher that does not know jack shit about anything this is what you get with insurance and every once in 4 or 5 weeks you get to talk to the pt i have learned a lot more with david at el paso what to do and not to do its hard to find a good pt when you rely on insurance its like finding a needle in a hay stack there are some good ones out there good luck finding one
I tend to agree! I went to PT for Bursitis in my shoulder. They show you what to do, then when you go home over time you just tend to slack off. Then bam pain is back!😢

I didn't stop at the onset of my sciatica making the problem worse so I was out for 2 months but following your regime I improved fast . I'm in Sydney age 69 and extremely grateful to you. I started doing abs and glutes activation and I attest that my sciatica pain is minimal. I was doing stretching for months and it seems as it was helping but the pain seems to get aggrevated.since I started these I now get out of bed easier I just can't belive it .do these all.trust me you will be amazed .THANK YOU .THANK YOU..❤❤

Hi Doc. I had trouble with both my left and right sides. I couldn't walk and my wife wanted to call 911. I followed your advice and today I have just a small amount of pain on the right side. My wife says it is because she prayed for me. I showed her your videos, but she is going to the cathedral on Sunday to light a candle. The cathedral is 40 miles from here. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I can get some candles from Dollar tree. I also have a problem with my right should and it is getting better. Man, you're the best. I too had to call the ambulance they never came out .2 weeks on from my comment my sciatica is gone I still do the exercise every chance I get never want it to come back .

I am 83 years old. Arthritis in lower back and compressed nerve in SI joint. These exercises look good to me. I have been through the chiropractor, hospital, and improper exercise paths. I am ready for this better method.

My physical therapist was amazing after I had a microdiscectomy they showed me all of these and then I went on to do more stretches for strength. It’s been 4 years and what is the most important advice is to keep doing stretches everyday. I stopped and now a year later I’m back in pain, dealing with little flares ups and it reminds me how important movement is for our bodies. I the at her bob and Brad the physical therapist and now I found this channel and I love the information and how your explain the movement, and body. ❤ This type of pain is debilitating.

I have been causing more pain to myself unbeknown .. I recently had needling .. helped some today it’s raging .. it makes more sense to strengthen abdominals and pelvic .. glutes ..thank you
It took me 5-6 months to learn how much Exercise #2 would help me with pain relief. And no one told me about it, i just felt alot of relief from it, but seeing it mentioned in your video gives me even more reassurance to stick with it.
I barely slept last night with sciatic pain on both sides. I just followed these exercises and it's taken about 50% of the pain away. I think by round 2 or 3 it should hopefully get rid of the pain completely. Thanks mate.

Was determined to get rid of the pain and to help prevent future sciatica pain. I had no idea my glutes and lower abdominal were not flexible and strong. Will continue to strengthen them from now on. Same I think the rocking has taken so much pressure not even so much for sciatica but the lower back feels so much better..I worked up to the 60 reps and trying to do every hour..been off work for 10 days I have to get back monday so I'm pounding out the exercises last couple days

I am in severe pain from sciatica. I cannot stand up. I cannot walk. The pain goes down my leg to my ankle. That first rocking exercise felt so good and worked so well.
Thank you so much, I'll start immediately.!!! Sciatica on the right side, it was shocking pain, and it took 5 months to completely recover. A month later its Now i on the left side but in my left shin bone , behind the knee and butt pain. I did carry some heavy things, which I think may have set it off.

EXCELLENT!!!!! I have suffered back pain for years that would come and go and leg cramping on my left leg for years. I tried your stretches and noticed immediate positive effects and will continue on a regular basis to prevent sciatic pain from returning.
Thank you very much for the information. I just want to note that such detailed explanations are certainly very useful, but too little time is allocated to show the exercises themselves. The exercises should be shown with a minimum of words, and they should be demonstrated not 2-3 times, but at least 5-6 times because many people find it difficult to understand the exercise from words, but easily take it from an accurate demonstration.

I've been consulting my pain specialist about my sciatica for the past three months. It's been a bit up and down, with injections and regular medication, as well as therapy sessions. Unfortunately, I haven't seen much improvement, and my last visit with the doctor left me feeling disappointed. I'm only 27, but I've realized that I relied too heavily on therapy sessions, which were only every two weeks, and didn't consistently practice the exercises assigned to me. Best information out there!!! I’ve been dealing with sciatica pain for a week now. Woke up in pain this morning. Watched this video and the what not to do video. My pain is relieved from practicing these exercises before getting out of bed.

Ive been in insane sciatic pain for over a month. Doctor prescribed me heavy pain meds which i refuse to take since they make me feel like a zombie. Doing these exercises for the first time and i can already tell it's providing more relief than just the stretches my PT gave me. Hopefully with consistency I'll see some pain relief soon!

Right now, Dr. David my sciatic is really helped on the left side I can barely walk. I have pain on the thigh area and also two in the L4 and L5 I also had an epidural done on September 28 had some relief for about three days and woke up Friday morning, unable to move my sciatic was in severe mode about a 10pain
I have problems with sciatica and with torn hip labrum. Your videos with all the teaching and explaining are excellent and truly much better than any other videos I saw. A question- I am post hip replacement surgery on both sides. In the last 2 months the right hip got twisted; the MDs were able to put the head into the acetabulum and slowly the pulled ligaments and muscles are healing. Do I need to skip any of the sciatica and torn labrum exercises because I have endoprosthesis?

I have seen several PTs and every exercise you said, should not be done they have had me do. So many nerve glides exercises and I an now more injured from PT. So sad, PT that is supposed to help me has hurt me.
I broke my knee a year ago and walked on it before going to the doctor for 2 weeks. Their physical therapy was horrid didnt help made it worse. Only this guys exercises helped me.He is great
I love your teachings. Always so helpful. Thank you. For the last ex I also hang from the top bar for elongating spine, changing my hand hold between prone and neutral. I’m curtailed right now due d/t first of two part spinal surgery where he went in sideways from glute area - yes they and sciatic are pissed off. Part two will happen in 4 days posteriorly through the back. I was in excellent shape going to gym 5-7 days/wk. 🤞🏼to be able to get back to it better than before. ♥️🙏🏼🎶🦋🌺

I suffered for 2 straight weeks and nothing I did seemed to work. Had to use a cane bc I couldnt put my weight on my left leg. In 2 weeks it finally seemed better, don't know why as I tried every exersize and stretch I could find. Dr. David's seem to make so much more sense and I will start doing them tomorrow as a preventative measure bc sciatica is so painful. Don't ever want to go through it again. Thank you.
I did the exercises you recummended & I feel much better. You are right that you have to get to where what is causing the pain. Surgery & injections are out of the question. Because I can't tolerate pain relievers I have liver problems.

Surgery and injections are only fixing the symptoms and getting the root of the problem is what can really makes changes. For a year I've not been able to walk any great length of distance, and even around the house I have needed to take regular breaks from standing as my sciatic pain becomes unbearable after only a couple of minutes. After a recent flare up of lower back pain and immobility, I found your channel, and this video, and I started doing the suggested exercises over for the last three days. The transformation in my ability to walk and be balanced is remarkable. I've got from struggling to find a position to sit/lie/stand in without pain to being able to walk around the house and up and down stairs pain free, and I'm off painkillers and have been able to sleep for the first time in a long time. I cannot thank you enough for making your expert knowledge available and accessible. Very useful exercices. I find when I do the butterfly pose (open legs), I can easily find a way to squeeze my glutes without contracting my hamstrings etc.

they teach you nothing - they just tell you what to do, walk away and go eat donuts in the breakroom. I hated going to PT / but I LOVE THIS!

I've had the same experience - go ride the stationary bike, then they start chit-chatting with each other while they're manipulating me. So strange.
They put you on a bike, leg crunch or whatever and set a timer When times up they walk you to what they want next Bah!😊
i agree my pt send you to there assistant pt and then you get different one and most of the time the assistant is nothing more than a gym teacher that does not know jack shit about anything this is what you get with insurance and every once in 4 or 5 weeks you get to talk to the pt i have learned a lot more with david at el paso what to do and not to do its hard to find a good pt when you rely on insurance its like finding a needle in a hay stack there are some good ones out there good luck finding one
I tend to agree! I went to PT for Bursitis in my shoulder. They show you what to do, then when you go home over time you just tend to slack off. Then bam pain is back!😢

El Paso I thank you. Found you here when I couldn't cope with boxing/sparring because of severe sciatica. I did exactly as you advised and got onto your exercises -glute and lower ab strength. I didn't stop at the onset of my sciatica making the problem worse so I was out for 2 months but following your regime I improved fast . I'm in Sydney age 69 and extremely grateful to you. You really know your stuff very impressive. I have just referred you to a friend who is in trouble.
I started doing abs and glutes activation and I attest that my sciatica pain is minimal. I was doing stretching for months and it seems as it was helping but the pain seems to get aggrevated.since I started these I now get out of bed easier I just can't belive it .do these all.trust me you will be amazed .THANK YOU .THANK YOU..❤❤

Hi Doc. I had trouble with both my left and right sides. I couldn't walk and my wife wanted to call 911. I followed your advice and today I have just a small amount of pain on the right side. My wife says it is because she prayed for me. I showed her your videos, but she is going to the cathedral on Sunday to light a candle. The cathedral is 40 miles from here. I didn't have the heart to tell her that I can get some candles from Dollar tree. I also have a problem with my right should and it is getting better. Man, you're the best. I am 83 years old. Arthritis in lower back and compressed nerve in SI joint. These exercises look good to me. I have been through the chiropractor, hospital, and improper exercise paths. I am ready for this better method.

My physical therapist was amazing after I had a microdiscectomy they showed me all of these and then I went on to do more stretches for strength. It’s been 4 years and what is the most important advice is to keep doing stretches everyday. I stopped and now a year later I’m back in pain, dealing with little flares ups and it reminds me how important movement is for our bodies. I the at her bob and Brad the physical therapist and now I found this channel and I love the information and how your explain the movement, and body. ❤ This type of pain is debilitating.

It took me 5-6 months to learn how much Exercise #2 would help me with pain relief. And no one told me about it, i just felt alot of relief from it, but seeing it mentioned in your video gives me even more reassurance to stick with it.

I barely slept last night with sciatic pain on both sides. I just followed these exercises and it's taken about 50% of the pain away. I think by round 2 or 3 it should hopefully get rid of the pain completely. Thanks mate.

After watching a few of your UA-cam videos & tried out the gluten muscles activating exercises help to relieve the stress and pain on my muscles at the legs, tights & hamstrings. EXCELLENT!!!!! I have suffered back pain for years that would come and go and leg cramping on my left leg for years. I tried your stretches and noticed immediate positive effects and will continue on a regular basis to prevent sciatic pain from returning.
Thank you very much for the information. I just want to note that such detailed explanations are certainly very useful, but too little time is allocated to show the exercises themselves. The exercises should be shown with a minimum of words, and they should be demonstrated not 2-3 times, but at least 5-6 times because many people find it difficult to understand the exercise from words, but easily take it from an accurate demonstration.

I've been consulting my pain specialist about my sciatica for the past three months. It's been a bit up and down, with injections and regular medication, as well as therapy sessions. Unfortunately, I haven't seen much improvement, and my last visit with the doctor left me feeling disappointed. I'm only 27, but I've realized that I relied too heavily on therapy sessions, which were only every two weeks, and didn't consistently practice the exercises assigned to me. After watching your video, I now understand the importance of maintaining a regular exercise routine. So thank you.

Best information out there!!! I’ve been dealing with sciatica pain for a week now. Woke up in pain this morning. Watched this video and the what not to do video. My pain is relieved from practicing these exercises before getting out of bed.
it came outta nowhere this pain on my butt and then radiated down to my calf and started getting charley horse. its been a week dealing with this that i have woken up screaming and crying. i need relief now. i can't take it anymore. i will try these exercises. thank you! ill keep ya'll posted.

Ive been in insane sciatic pain for over a month. Doctor prescribed me heavy pain meds which i refuse to take since they make me feel like a zombie. Doing these exercises for the first time and i can already tell it's providing more relief than just the stretches my PT gave me. Hopefully with consistency I'll see some pain relief soon!

Right now, Dr. David my sciatic is really helped on the left side I can barely walk. I have pain on the thigh area and also two in the L4 and L5 I also had an epidural done on September 28 had some relief for about three days and woke up Friday morning, unable to move my sciatic was in severe mode about a 10pain

A question- I am post hip replacement surgery on both sides. In the last 2 months the right hip got twisted; the MDs were able to put the head into the acetabulum and slowly the pulled ligaments and muscles are healing.
Do I need to skip any of the sciatica and torn labrum exercises because I have endoprosthesis?

Start with one or two exercises, beginning with the smallest range of motion and the lowest intensity. As you feel stronger, you can gradually increase both the range of motion and intensity. It’s best to do these exercises every day throughout the day. Aim to tire out the muscle without losing form or control. Consistency is key. Always avoid working through pain; soreness and mild discomfort are normal, but pain is not.

I have seen several PTs and every exercise you said, should not be done they have had me do. So many nerve glides exercises and I an now more injured from PT. So sad, PT that is supposed to help me has hurt me.

I broke my knee a year ago and walked on it before going to the doctor for 2 weeks. Their physical therapy was horrid didnt help made it worse. Only this guys exercises helped me.He is great

I love your teachings. Always so helpful. Thank you. For the last ex I also hang from the top bar for elongating spine, changing my hand hold between prone and neutral. I’m curtailed right now due d/t first of two part spinal surgery where he went in sideways from glute area - yes they and sciatic are pissed off. Part two will happen in 4 days posteriorly through the back. I was in excellent shape going to gym 5-7 days/wk. 🤞🏼to be able to get back to it better than before. ♥️🙏🏼🎶🦋🌺

I suffered for 2 straight weeks and nothing I did seemed to work. Had to use a cane bc I couldnt put my weight on my left leg. In 2 weeks it finally seemed better, don't know why as I tried every exersize and stretch I could find. Dr. David's seem to make so much more sense and I will start doing them tomorrow as a preventative measure bc sciatica is so painful. Don't ever want to go through it again. Thank you.

I did the exercises you recummended & I feel much better. You are right that you have to get to where what is causing the pain. Surgery & injections are out of the question. Because I can't tolerate pain relievers I have liver problems.

That is so great that the exercises are making it better. Just don't stop, continuing is so important. Surgery and injections are only fixing the symptoms and getting the root of the problem is what can really makes changes.
When doing this it is not easy pain and comes and there are time you feel you are taking steps back ,but its part of the process. Keep up with the exercises!! Take care and have a great day.

Thank you thank you I watch this video to the very end I have lower back pain sciatica mostly on the right side however, a little on the left going to do these five exercises several times a day in hopes of gaining strength in my lower area. Thank you for your advice. It’s truly appreciated. I’m definitely wanting to get off of the pain meds as soon as possible. I know they are not good for me but it’s the only way I can function unfortunately. I hope to give you an update soon on my progress. Thank you.
