My review of the new Sire V 10. Lots of new features and a high end fit and finish. This is the same video I had up, but I deleted it by accident. I'm putting it back up.
@Marlboro Girl It's nothing like Fender preamp. It's better than Fenders and Fender didn't pioneer it either. There's a dozen better preamps than Fender and they existed before Fender started using them. We all love our Fenders but reality is they're now surviving on a legacy.
Excellent a usual. I'm usually not an ash/maple guy but it seems Sire has it worked out. The pickups and pre balance things out nicely. That roasted maple is usually an upgrade that costs half the price of that bass, lol.
Yes I understand it's a serious bass, it has that good roasted maple neck and it just a overall clean sound. The preamp kicks butt, and it happens to be on most Sire bass models.
my 65 L series precision has an original paduak fingerboard (warm+) , nice reddish tint...best sounding bass I own by leagues, w/ flats. Apparently leo made a couple before he sold to cbs (george gruhn). Love to see a V3 4 string review.
So, if I flick the passive/active switch into passive mode, does it still produce sound if no batteries are inserted ? I'm an old school passive bass kinda guy, and I'm confused about all this dang fangled technology in the new basses. :)
I have been playing a Guild Pilot for years and want to upgrade. I love the light weight (8 lbs) and a narrow Jazz neck. To get that Marcus Miller sound and more which Sire bass is the best? V10 vs V-9 vs V7 (2nd Gen)? (Irregardless of the price). TY.

I did buy the Sire V9 Gen2 Marcus Miller. It is beautifully crafted - truly. The Custom shop neck is GREAT. Plays so well; just would like a few more than 20 frets. The 18V preamp can get a lot of varied tone but not always as easy as I would like. The stacked volume / tone and mid/sweep sent easily turn independently. I do need to get it professionally set up. Getting some volume differences between the strings and a little buzz. I recorded my bands latest EP and the tone was very nice on the raw track. www.newjerseystage.com/articles/2020/10/01/makin-waves-song-of-the-week-creamsicle-sun-by-broken-darling/
I wish they made one with that neck, but without the abalone inlays, and just a regular precision/jazz body. No crazy tops, no bindings. And the glued maple fretboard on a maple neck is a bit of a bummer too, but I don’t care too much
The look is too simple. It could be amore agressive looking bass. And the battery compartment is not easy for bass players to an easy and quick change.
Whoever designed the preamp needs a raise and promotion.
I guess Marcus Miller had input on those, but the designer deserves props majorly, MAJORLY
@@gsharpslayer3287 Same opinion here. The look is too simple. It could be more agressive.

Two 9 Volts Battery = 18Volts power !.. I have one and they have loved it at my church.
A great player giving a great review

Nice sounding bass, it grooves man.
Yes, very nice. Sire is not a joke, they deliver!
Great review! I would like to learn that bassline.

Hi! Should I change the factory bridge on the V10 2nd gen? For example to a Babicz? What's your opinion? Thx!
This going to be my next buy😊
Do the Jazz Pickups have that famous jazz bass humm?

Yes, it works in passive mode without batteries
Nice tone. What amp?

Oh yeah...I would prefer that too!😉😷👋
The V5 has a roasted neck
PLLLÀAAYYY IT ! !
Battery will drain regardless … as long as jack is plugged in completing the circuit
Anthony... that shit was funky...psk
Another great review! I agree, for the money, no one can touch Sire!!!
Better slap bass between Elite 👍🏼
Deja Vu
is this lighter than the Sire V7 basses?
i heard that p7 is much lighter and m2 too
WHAT IS WEIGHT OF THIS BASS ????
4.2kg for the 5 string
4 kg 4 strings
