FUNK SLAP BASS with SIRE Marcus Miller V10 & ORANGE Bass Amp

- Having a good time with a funky slap bass line. I composed this song inspired by the sound of the fantastic SIRE Marcus Miller V10.

I recorded the bass guitar with the DI output of the super-top Orange Terror Bass 500 and a microphone on the OBC212 cabinet. All instruments are performed by the bassist, too.
This amazing Marcus Miller SIRE Bass V10 2nd Generation has the body in swamp ash and the neck and fingerboard in roasted maple. The electronic is very hard with the power of two 9v battery.
This song is called "Bassistic Space" beacuse reminds me to a slap bass funk travel in the outer space where the bass guitar drives the spaceship and the bass player can just have funk with an awesome and new sights!

There are two macro differences, first the hipshot hardware and then the neck wood that is roasted maple.. I think construction is pretty the same.. happy new year!🎉

Which Orange cabs? I’ve never heard so much high end from Orange cabs! Nice.
Hi and thanks for the comment, the cabs are the OBC410 and the OBC212.. In my opinion the 4x10 is amazing and it has a very brilliant sound even though it's pretty heavy. Anyway the power of all Orange cabs has no comparison, but I think also their heads make the whole sound.
Could you explain the settings of the preamp for this sound?
Ciao Marc, both bass and amp eq are almost flat, in this video I recorded with a microphone the cabinet and there is more microphone track than the line one in the mix, so you should hear the tweeter more. I also use an equalizer from the DAW boosting 5k. Keep groovin'🤙

Hey thanx, this bass is a top level one and I always advice it. I'm using DR strings, 045-125, first mounting Hi-beams now I'm feeling better with Lo-Rider🎸

caspita come suona bene merito sopratutto del bassista , bravo sei meglio di Mark king :) lui non ha questo impressionante tiro soul reggeae ma suona solo dritto , infatti e' un gran drittone ... la orange non la batte nessuno e anche l'uscita di ha una qualita' spaventissima , vallo a raccontare alla mark bass mark cazz , cazz bass
