It's lovely. Nicely done! I noticed you had a cute visitor scurry by at about 4:57 mark. Had to rewind a couple times as I thought 'did I just see that'? Too funny.
I’ve never heard of this linen look on paint before, and didn’t think I’d like it - but wrong. It looks exactly like linen, and gives a great finish. It’s also very forgiving, I will give it a try! Thank you for sharing. Great job 👏🏻
Hi! Nice outcome, as usual. I like this technique and it doesn't look like u skimped on anything. U are blessed with the gift to see the beauty that sits on the roadside. Be well, stay safe & prayed up. Til next time
Very chic and modern textured look .. the technique looks doable also! I like how you created the look with the wood legs which changed it up tremendously.
I think this is a better idea then thr full fabric I kept thinking fabric check to seal the edges the work you must have put into that piece wow. This is one I will try to do. Thanks 😊
I never miss out on anything coming from you, believe me! I’m not sure, but I think I love this version even better than the fabric one. It’s a close call! And, so inspiring!
Now THIS I can get behind! I'm totally gonna try this look. It seems like it would also be a good alternative for distressing when you have a piece of furniture that will take alot of use.
I've never seen this technique before! I know someone who would love this! My baby sister! I've now got a list of projects that I want to achieve. Thank you and have a blessed day 🌹
Beautiful. You picked the perfect piece to experiment on. So blah before. We’ll see lots of copycats on UA-cam in the next few weeks. But that’s flattery.
It’s a faux finish technique that’s been around for hundreds of years so I don’t think anyone gets to claim ownership or copycats 😂🤣 thank you so much for watching! I’m glad you liked it.
Ran into you online for the first time. Lovely, clear, concise. I appreciate you stay on topic & don't waste our time with unnecessary chatter. Very impressed, will look for you again!
Katie! Last I checked you had done a fab faux wood design and now you're adding faux canvas texture!! Truly unique, truly creative!! Cheers from the GTA east end!!
99 years ago I did something like this to a feature wall in a house I was renting it was a chambray look that I did with a hand held dust broom, which worked out perfect as that’s a finer striation than linen. This came out really nice and you’re right it is very forgiving! Well done Katie!👍🏻🤩
I like the linen look done with paint much better than using the actual linen fabric glue on method. It looks great! I love the colors used, too. I've always been a fan of linen and it's good to know that there's a paint technique to help me achieve that look for my furniture. The dresser you chose is a perfect choice to highlight this technique. Great job, Katie!
I'm excited to try this! I was looking at buying a grasscloth vinyl to get the look on the inside back of an ikea bookcase - this technique will be so much better and affordable! Thank you for explaining it so well!
Pretty neat. I’d already planned on doing this on the dark grey bathroom walls to lighten them and make them more interesting. Happy to see you using a grey also. Good job.
I hit replay around 4:58-5:00 multiple times just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. I was distracted by your little friend running across behind you on the floor … 🐁…eek! 😳. They freak me out! Ok back to the dresser. Beautiful work as always. 👍
Good job, I've been doing paint effects for over 25 years so it was nice to see you adding this to your furniture, for a softer grain I would use a surgeon scrub brush. My favourite effect was always the leather effect by using plastic shopping bags.
Its very pretty, ...May I give a few tips?.. blue will give you a denim look & cut off about a inch on bristles of the broom if you want more pattern..
I like the dresser with the linen look. I like both the linen look of the material in your other video and the paint in this video. Great job. Now, to find a dresser to try this on. Not sure what I will choose.
So creative and looks very unique. I love that you made a simpler version of using the actual linen. Thank you for your creativity. I'm adding this to my "To- Do- List" with furniture flipping.
This one looks like so much fun! I think I prefer the painted linen as opposed to actual linen. Good call on the legs as well! You are awesome Katie! 💖💖💖
Katie. I watch your channel all the time. Love you and your furniture flips! All I can say about this one is you’ve done it again!! Amazing. 🙏🙏Thank you
Beautiful, I did a similar finish in blues for a worn Levi look. Never thought about the brush head. My goodness that would have been so much faster!!!!!
That look awesome Katie!! Thank you for posting this video, I’ve been looking for DIY linen dressers. I had no idea I could achieve the look with paint.
It's lovely. Nicely done! I noticed you had a cute visitor scurry by at about 4:57 mark. Had to rewind a couple times as I thought 'did I just see that'? Too funny.
I saw that too😳. This time year they are running inside when ever, where ever and how ever they can.
I just had to go back, slow it down and zoom WAY IN! But I can confirm it was 1000% an orange maple leaf 🍁 😂
@@salvagedbykscott Yes, I saw a leaf fly by also. You should see my foyer after someone goes in or out SMH
I agree! Lol regarding the fast and furious friend.
scott aaahhhh haaaaa!! Too funny!!😁👍🏻
Thank you for sharing this interesting technique that gave that dresser a new life.
Cheers from France!

Technique goes very well with the period piece dresser. Perfect match. Thanks for sharing your talent.

@@salvagedbykscott I realize that but I mean furniture painters. Every artist is a copycat. It’s all been done before.
Ran into you online for the first time. Lovely, clear, concise. I appreciate you stay on topic & don't waste our time with unnecessary chatter. Very impressed, will look for you again!
Loved it
Look at you using that skill saw! Bravo!
That's really effective. I'll be giving that a go soon and will hopefully get a great result like yours.
Love the result! What a great neutral colour too.

I prefer the painted linen look more than the fabric linen. Great job. Saludos desde Chile.
I love the texture it gives to the piece! Amazing work!
Pretty neat. I’d already planned on doing this on the dark grey bathroom walls to lighten them and make them more interesting. Happy to see you using a grey also. Good job.

Absolutely beautiful! Very upscale look.
I hit replay around 4:58-5:00 multiple times just to make sure I wasn’t seeing things. I was distracted by your little friend running across behind you on the floor … 🐁…eek! 😳. They freak me out!

It’s just a leaf 🍁 promise!
This is beautiful! Great technique! It looks like fabric!
I love the new legs on this one ! Great idea to!

wow it looks amazing and it was easy compared with the fabric, thanks Katie, you're awesome!

That look awesome Katie!! Thank you for posting this video, I’ve been looking for DIY linen dressers. I had no idea I could achieve the look with paint.
It looks great Katie! And not as intimidating as other techniques. The river rock color is perfection.
Love that technique and look.
I just used your technique and it worked perfectly. Thank you!
That was really nice. I have been looking for a linen look paint technique. So thank you.
Awesome job! I must watch this one more! Bravo!
This is so refined and satisfying at the finish. Thank you for the clarity you bring. Stay well, Canada.
I love it my next dresser I'm gonna try for denim look
Looks amazing! Looks like actual linen and so much easier than gluing linen fabric to a piece 😊❤
I wonder what a interesting pull on your drawers would do. Maybe a pop of color!
Totally wow!! Yes for this!!
I like this painted look better then the real linen look it came out fantastic 💜🕉
Stunning!
