I want to add, Kwon Dae Hee's mother worked tirelessly for YEARS to make sure he got justice, she would protest on the streets of South Korea all by herself until she got her son the justice he deserved. She found a bucket list that Kwon wrote while cleaning his belongings and one of the things listed was "Leaving my mark on this world" so she worked to fulfill his dream, which culminated in her efforts bringing forth the passing of the Kwon Dae Hee bill, which mandated the installation of security cameras in operating rooms.

I’ve been in China my whole life (and still am) so I’d like to share some thoughts.
Facial surgeries like the ones shown are extremely popular in China, especially amongst older people. Weird, almost anime-like faces (big eyes, pointy chin) are considered beauty in the eyes of most older Chinese women, this leads to a lot of older Chinese women looking to get such facial surgeries.
Facial surgeries are quite expensive in China, and the minimum wage in China is very low, so my guess is that this specific clinic is selling the service at a lower price to attract more of these customers, hence the amount of people that go there to get plastic surgery.
Clinics like these are not uncommon in China. There are a lot of small, non-government owned hospitals and clinics in China that charge way less than standard hospitals do, and considering that most people in China don’t have a lot of money, it makes sense why such hospitals get so many patients.
If you’d like help finding information on this like an account or something, reach out! I’ll be glad to help!

Now this is me, doing research cause I wanna go to China and visit lmao, pretty sure the actually person who lives there has better insight, but that's what I'm getting from doing my research

they don’t occur in the manner you describe but rather there is a practice of outsourcing specialists as contractors such as gynecologists and pediatricians for a hospital. It is done so that the hospital is not held liable for any malpractice that may occur such as in the case of that doctor in Atlanta who decapitated a newborn during a birth. The hospital was very quick to point out that they were a contractor and not associated with the hospital to avoid liability on themselves

Kwon Dae Hee’s story is especially sad because, like many of these surgeries, it was completely unnecessary. He was a really good looking young man. It’s so sad that he just wanted to feel better about himself and he died for it. I saw another bbc video where they went around asking people in Seoul if they wanted plastic surgery. All of them were perfectly attractive people, and almost all of them said yes and proceeded to list what they wanted done and why.

I saw a video Dr Youn made last night, he said he disagrees with the extent of the surgery and he doesn't think its ethical to do facial reconstructive surgery on someone in their 70's, being under general anesthetics, with the surgery taking around 10HOURS!!! Also, he doesn't think the technique they use, that leaves an unsightly scar around the hairline, is a good surgical practice, for a good result. Dr Youn also said that this kind of extreme surgery (leaving a 40 something looking like a teenager) is not unusual for Asian plastic surgery standards and he doesn't agree with this extreme extent of surgery being practiced. Put that together with all of this evidence of terrible practices....this is a nightmare patient's will never be able to escape from.

going to china for plastic surgery is great if you find a good surgeon, but going simply for the price is never a good idea for anything. don’t go to someone’s cellar please 😭

Thats crazy how the medicine was expired. Every time we even touch or look at a vial of medicine, we check the expiration date. Every time we administer, we check. Every time we file it into their chart, we check. That just shows the negligence in itself.

I've seen so many of your vids and I was shocked to see I wasn't subscribed - I am now! Anyway, just wanted to say that I'm so impressed with the topics you cover in both the short and longer formats. It's easy to tell that you research the shizzle out of your stuff before hitting record and that's honestly so refreshing. Your topics are also always interesting and 'instructive' in a lack of a better word, compared to many other UA-cam commentators. Not just that, you're always respectful even when the topics are a bit silly. You seem like a kind spirit as well so you're worth all the millions of subscribers you have now and will have in the future. Keep up your hard work and remember to take some breaks too as well at times. Thanks so much for your hard work, I always look forward to your next uploads!

I have to say, I was a pharmacy technician in a hospital for years, and hospitals possessing expired medicine is very very common. I would check stock levels of theatre medications every single morning and send up to the nurses to put away. What happens is they put the medicine at the front of the cupboard because they can’t be bothered or are too busy to actually rotate the stock and bring the older expiry dates forward. I only worked in an eye hospital and our formulary was TINY compared to a general hospital that likely has a warehouse full of stock. I can imagine this is much worse in general hospitals. I would try to check the stock at the back of the cupboard once a month, even though it wasn’t my job just to ensure there wasn’t anything expired at the back. But this is very commonplace, and quite concerning actually. One time I found about 25 vials of expired propofol at the back of a cupboard! The idea of injecting expired anaesthetics is terrifying. I would always inform the nurses and say look you need fo prioritise this it’s serious. At the end of the day, the medication expiry date should also be checked by the nurse before administering any medication, but it’s scary that a mistake like this could really happen..
