“you look ai generated” is gonna be the next future insult
Knowing people, it’ll also be (if it isn’t already) a legit compliment.
I’ve definitely seen some instagram models with enough boob and lip filler that I guarantee would be psyched to be compared to an AI generated image.
LMAOOOO 😂😂😂
Already is😂😢
It can be an insult or a compliment depending on how you mean it.
"You look AI generated" could mean "you look flawless", or it could mean "some of your facial features look like an AI trying to approximate what a human face looks like".
I would like this comment too but I just don't wanna ruin your 1111 count ☺️
Personally, I think aging is beautiful. People complain about smile lines, and crows feet.. but in my eyes those smile lines means you lived happily. You expressed yourself in so many ways!
Reading this made my day so much better
I FULLY agree
You do you boo, you don’t need to do take care of your skin if you don’t want to but for others out there, prevent it before it starts! Stay out of the sun, always use SPF, Botox as soon as you start to see fine lines, healthy eating, exercise, collagen, vitamins. Take care of yourself and you’ll prevent risky things like this
Aging is not beautiful. It is horrible. I'm not trying to be mean, but what you are saying is just a cope. I hate aging. However, I would still rather age gracefully than do plastic surgery.
14:52 For the leg procedure, I watched an official documentary (arte) about it. The documentary was talking about plastic surgery in China and precisely those leg procedures. Doctors cut the muscles in the leg (calf, don't remember the exact muscle), few weeks after those muscles gonna "shrink" and become really thin, they are at high risk of losing the functionalities of their legs. There are many cases, where young Chinese girls were not aware of that (the surgeons didn't list the risk), now most of them can barely walk like before, and many complications like constant pain and others. It's really sad, people have healthy bodies but beauty trends mess up body and mind.
I'm Asian, when I was in middle school I wanted to have plastic surgery to become pretty like people in the media. Now I accepted who I am and I'm also grateful to be healthy. You know it's better to lose a little bit of weight or gain muscles. Also, basic skin/hair care helps a lot. Choose also the right clothes, no need to buy a ton of them. Just choose wisely a piece of clothing that suits your body and can be matched with another type of clothes.
I hope some young people gonna read my comment. I want to add that beauty perception is messed up with social media (filter, heavy makeup, light, angle). You know when you get to know someone, the first impression is not gonna be "Wow he/she is so handsome/pretty)" especially when he/she is average. But the more you know the person and spend time with them, the more beauty and charm gonna grow. You'll see others and yourself so beautifully and uniquely. Some unique features make the character very strong like you'll never forget them.
I hope you understand, learn yourself a bit more, and spend time with people. You're gonna see everything in a better view.
i’ve been really insecure about my nose all my life and i want to have a nose job done at some point in my life, but reading some comments including this i think i won’t consider to do so anymore. thank you for this
@@YtFreepremI know how you feel, my nose is my worst part. But this is true, there are even consequences from such a simple surgery, and I think having your natural face will have you remember that you spent your all life, and looking at younger pictures, there is more beauty then just the face. You are beautiful, and your nose is perfect.
@@Starfishluver what i’ve concluded is that we’re just blinded by the world’s “standards” that it makes us want to change ourselves to fit those standards but we are all uniquely perfect in our own features, and what makes us more unique is that we can’t be replicated, there won’t be another you. you are beautiful too, your nose is perfect and you don’t have to change anything about yourself.
@@YtFreeprem I'm glad to hear that actually.
it is more interesting to develop your character and your inner self. It's like in a manga or novel for example, when you follow the development of a character. It's full of moments of sadness and happiness. New thoughts, maturity of mind and discipline.
Also @Starfishluver you are right about younger pictures, unique features are a part of ourself and make the character even stronger and unforgettable .

Looking at his face makes me feel really eerie and uncomfortable, it makes me feel bad because its still a guy with feelings who got a botched surgery.
As someone who works in plastic surgery, their results actually look very well done. The photos you are referring to as looking “botched or scary” are immediately after, it can 3-6 months for a patient’s face to look normal after a face lift and with all plastic surgeries, the swelling could take a year to go down. Nobody looks good immediately after, it’s good for the potential patients to see how they will look the first month or so and i am sure if they were to include photos from 3 months later, the patient would look incredible.
I just went through the page myself and found one vid from 9/7/23 and there's 30 day results and by god the results are crazy. You can tell its the same woman from the moles on her neck and face, but can't deny the results were great even if she didnt need it.
Well that’s even freakier

Aren’t these surgeries still too much. My dad(50) got a facelift. He looked refreshed, but completely normal afterwards. The surgeon recommended only minimal surgery because there are risk of patients’ eyelid can’t close properly and other complications.

just a small note, but they aren’t using terms like “brother” and “sister” to bait people into trusting them, lol, they’re just terms used to address people in both china and korea (alongside many other countries), even if they aren’t your actual siblings. thought i’d put that out there.
Oh okay so it’s not just a black thing
Just a Chinese language note: him calling patients "brother" or "sister" is probably a direct translation from Chinese where referring to unrelated people as "brother" or "sister" is a way to show respect/endearment. It's not some manipulation tactic to make people "trust him", it's just a linguistic difference.
That's truly disrespectful tradition in so many countries with low quality of life. I don't even know since when I am your brother?)
Black Americans also refer to each other as brother or sister. As in (Black American talking) "There's a white guy and a "brother" sitting down." The "brother" refers to a Black man.

I’ve worked in facial plastics for years. Clients look very swollen and like they’ve gone through a wind tunnel after surgery. It takes awhile for the face to “relax”. I’d love to see the incision lines and what they look like 4-6 weeks later.
Yeah you are right. He should check what they look like after 30 days and not 8

Dr. Kim isn't a surgeon, he's a butcher. His victims remind me of what The Joker did to people in Gotham or that one Korean drama/horror movie that had people getting facial surgery when they came of age but the lead character wasn't encouraged to do it so she went to an underground surgeon and it turned out horribly. My heart goes out to every single one of his victims. And this is why my doctors tell me more to avoid any physician who is on social media, especially TikTok.

i've noticed that in some asian languages, people will refer to someone else as brother or sister as a term of endearment/in place of boy or girl. i went to a hot pot restaurant with a sign in the unisex restroom that said something like "if today is your time of the month and you need help, ask the little sister at the front desk." it just meant the young woman working the entrance.

yea i came here to say just this! in many asian cultures and languages, honorifics are extremely important. i always have had to call people older than me by older sister/brother or auntie/uncle (in my language ofc). im pretty sure the captions came from a translator and didn’t take that aspect of language differences into account

I don't know why he'd post partially healed work, maybe ragebait gets more engagement, but you can't determine if they're botched by this point, the patients should be checked 4-6 weeks later. I'd chalk this up to the internet drawing conclusions about a line of work they don't really understand.

Hey, so while there is plenty to be said about the oddity of this and the weird formats of the tiktoks,I need to point out something. A large majority of those "uncanny" surgery results are from very early in recovery. Facial surgery takes long time to recover from fully. Sometimes 6 months to a year for the swelling to go down entirely. Early on the results are going to look uncanny and odd as your body is still healing. There is much to be said about the necessity of these surgeries, I really feel like this is a big point to point out.
Yeah that’s what I was thinking. The internet really shit on that one older pepper haired fella and I felt so bad. I think he was just swollen tbh like do they not know the skin isn’t that tight for even like a month before it settles back down

If Dr.Youn who is a plastic surgeon, says that these face-lifts are extreme, I am inclined to believe him as he not only has had his own practice for several years, has a medical degree, he also has strong moral values. When another plastic surgeon feels uneasy about the methodology of another practitioner, that speaks volumes.
Yeah it takes awhile to heal. But in case you missed the frame near the end, these "surgeons" are not just tightening the skin. They are carving bone as well. This is extreme. How you people are defending this I have no genuine idea. But there is always someone who takes the wrong side, no matter the point.
the kind of yellowness is so characteristic this is what i was thinking, i feel bad they’re getting made fun of and called monsters when they’re like barely healed from a super invasive surgery 😭 like i just hope their results settle well and they’re happy with themselves
guys it takes time to heal and what he’s posting is showing them right after surgery and they do have other videos showing there final results and they look WAYYYY better💀and people get surgery at many ages and surgery is to make people looks different . People might want it bad just because the surgery came out good in their eyes. I understand people are beautiful just the way they are and they definitely are but many are insecure and try surgery and are happy with the results because they want to fit the standards in Asia. I know we are all different people but if many want to looks so, then they can just like americans like kim kardashian and others.
I just stumbled across your video and I’ve never seen your channel before but you are so sweet. I’m only wants the first few minutes away. Keep up the good work. I am a new subscriber now.
It’s actually normal for a deep plane facelift to look that swollen/“uncanny” after a week but i cant wrap my head around why they’d share a week post op and not 3-6 months post op 😭
Facelifts, and this goes for most cosmetic procedures, work better younger (30’s & 40’s) faster healing, less invasive, more skin elasticity. A ponytail facelift (think bella hadid) done in their 20’s will help her age more “gracefully” and also will have a wayyyy easier recovery since there’s not a lot getting pulled back whereas if someone waits until they’re 60 for a deep plane facelift, it’s gonna be a more painful, more swollen, longer recovery.
I googled 1 week post op results and they’re def puffy and bruised but these people look like completely different people. Normally face lifts seem to make people look maybe 10 years younger at most, these people look like weird distorted 20 year olds.
They're taking pictures before these patients go home, often to another country. It's hard to get a hold of people once they leave and start enjoying or hating their new face...
It highlights the fact that they aren't doing full post-op follow up to keep prices down.
@@Fffffferal There is probably an easier recovery for younger people, but facelifts don't prevent skin from aging, so I don't think there is any evidence that it will help younger people "age gracefully." They will just have to keep getting more surgeries if they want the same results.

Surgeon is actually extremely talented. They look significantly younger and they look like that because it can take up to 6 months for swelling and pain to subside.
Exactly, people look too much into things
Nope they look terrifying
it can actually take up to a year to see the final results
Ikr, in no way I would like to get a face lift surgery but judging with 7 days after result is complete non sense
A very good research video, thank you! 🙏
About the "my sister" thing, it's not about him wanting people to trust him more. He's Chinese, and terms like "brother" or "sister" are commonly used to talk about people who are not necessarily related to you. Either way, I feel so sorry for his patients. The results are horrid and I wish his license was just revoked at this point.
Also, it's interesting that he's most likely Chinese, but he is using a Korean last name. As we all know, SK has been catching up to Brazil as the capital of plastic surgery, and he might try to capitalize on that by using a Korean name.
yeah i was thinking this exactly, where i'm from you call people "brother" or "sister" as a friendly word, not literal
Yeah I was confused as well like I was just thinking about this before I wanted to make a similar comment
That is so true! I recently made friends from China and they were referring to each other as sister or brother. "In the game, he teamed up with 4 younger sisters and won". Something like that. They even referred to me as sister or jiě jie. In my country (SE Asia) we also use the term 'adoptive brother or sister' in our language as a term of endearment. Most likely he used a translator for the captions, isnt xiǎo a common way to call someone younger and yeah it means little. I don't know Mandarin enough to explain
yes exactlyyy what i wanted to say
Yeah i was going to comment this. I speak Korean and studied Chinese for 8 years which both its more common to address others with these terms. For Korean it much less common to refer to strangers as such but you can tell its less about 'tricking people into being more trusting with family terms' and more so just a better reflection on how we address people. It can even come off as more rude to use other terms and language, and while I think using these close proximity terms is trying to pass an emotion off in some way it's not like in English where saying someone is 'related' is weird or uncommon. Even more if they are using a translator or very limited language.
the picture of that man keeps haunting me😭😭😭

pls do a follow up video if you can 🙏🏻 i feel like this ended on a cliffhanger there’s still so much unanswered. my heart goes out to these patients
The “brother sister” thing isn’t a manipulation tool, that’s just a cultural thing a LOT of cultures do that translates odd to americans. We refer to everyone in our generation at sis/bro the generation above as aunt/uncle and the gen above that as gma/gpa. And the “they look like a little girl” part, that’s literally every cosmetic surgury caption from every nation and language. To us that sounds weird(it is weird) but the weird things we say, we just don’t find as weird
yeah i was gonna say this, literally just pulled the bait thing out of thin air
“It’s raining cats and dogs”
“This is my baby”
It looks like hes ignoring the comments that correct him on it too, pinning and liking other comments while ignoring the comments about how he just didnt understand something and made up a motive for it to be malicious
I just commented on that too. It's kinda scary how not knowing a common cultural norm for another place can get twisted to mean something weird.
There's a reason they're not posting "fully-healed" results. I mean, some of those peoples are locals which they can easily contact. There *is* one healed result on their page but keep in mind that's 1/93. Perhaps they know it'll get engagement? But then that would be bad marketing because if they're posting odd-looking surgeries, they would be getting bad press which is already happening in real-time. Some people say that they'll look just fine after being fully healed but if that's the case, then why would a professional plastic surgeon, Dr. Youn, clearly not agree with how they look right after surgery? Out of all people, you'd think he knows best about all stages.
hello tuv hows life treating you
damnnnnn 1st
Just put some band aids on and they going to heal just fine, I'm something of a doctor myself
Honestly I think there's a couple of reasons. First, like the man from Spain, some patients come from all over the world, so it makes no sense for them to fly back just for after-pictures. Secondly, he probably tells the patients that it's normal how they look right now, and it'll look better after a while. But as time goes on, nothing really changes and they realize that the surgery is botched. They hate their new look and wouldn't agree to show their face on camera.
only in heaven will all be young and beautiful forever! Jesus loves you
this video was such a good deep-dive and your cat is a great bonus💙!
If I'm not wrong I remember that in the H3 podcast they managed to find where dr. Kim's profile picture is from and it was literally the profile picture of another unrelated proper Korean doctor!

Unfortunately many plastic surgeons use that "manipulation" tactic you where speaking about. They name all of these facial imperfections in the name of symmetry and signs of aging to make you feel as if you NEED the surgery.
Once upon a time I went for a consultation to get lip filler. That's it. Next thing you know the Doctor starts commenting on my jawline, undereyes, and cheeks and how they could all use filler to make me more symmetrical. Ive heard of many women experiencing this as well when they have a consultation. I like my face shape, but that appointment left me feeling very insecure.
gosh that sounds afwul,, I hope you were able to move on from that.
its so unfortunate that stuff like that happens; I have mixed opinions about plastic surgery in general but I think they use of that tactic is so unnecessary, not to mention ethically dubious at best. I can't think of any reason other than greed for them to be motivated to do it.
I experienced this too. I will never support the beauty/cosmetic industry again LOL evil whitecoat demons assaulting my perfectly healthy face.
yep, and many women who just want a slightly larger breast size are talked into getting more than they want. It's really gross.
Went for a surgery on my jaw, wanted to fix my crooked nose too. Was talked out of it by my surgeon. Good surgeons do exist. It depends on the mental health of the patient as well as the ethics of the doctor.
Plastic surgery feeds off of peoples insecurities, it quite literally makes money off of them so it is a totally gross industry. When it is used for reconstructive surgeries on those who have been left disfigured thats different, but telling people things are 'wrong' with them and they need 'fixing' is disgusting. Thats why I will never support or endorse plastic surgery, if your looks consume your life you don't need surgery, you need a therapist and some self love.
He never shows the result after a couple months, which facelifts can make you look like an alien for upwards of a year before they completely heal. Most swelling goes down after around 2 weeks to a month, but you can still look odd. I’d imagine after having your face sliced off and stretched, you’d look a bit odd for a while.
Just look up “facelift right after surgery vs after healing”. Some of them right after surgery still don’t look as bad as some of doctor Kim’s, but they still look close, and very uncanny valley.
IDK this doesn't seem like a good idea especially for older people because it will take a long time to heal
Eugh... just the stitches on the forehead are enough to make me queasy but the notion of those stitches being the only thing preventing your detatched face from falling off is HORRIFYING. I assume theres medical glue involced but its horrifying nonetheless.
Not to mention having to see someone without their face for hours has GOT to do something to your brain.
@@discipleofdagon8195 Tbh, I've heard that some surgeons (emergency room surgeons, etc.) actually develop PTSD or have disassociation episodes because of their work, even if a person is numbed from occupational exposure to seeing someone with a peeled off face, I'm sure it does lead to mental issues for some surgeons, especially the newer ones. Like it doesn't seem healthy lmao.
@@discipleofdagon8195 i was already pretty spooked by this shit, but your whole "those stitches are the only thing keeping their face from falling" was the nail in the coffin. I'd cry out of fear if i saw someone like that, imagine seeing someone's stitches popping off and their whole face flops down. Fucking insanely scary
And the fact that they see the person without a face during the operation would traumatize me
You have to realize that what they consider beautiful in China is very different from the US . For what it is, I didn't think it was botched and especially since the photos are just 7 days after surgery. I really would love to see what they look like after 6 months after ,thats how long it takes to completely heal. Being that's kinda what's comcideted beauty in China I really dont think they're are so botched. Its the swelling in the eyes that makes it look so strange. My biggest issue is the young people getting full face lifts, not so much the older people. Myself I would never get any plastic surgery, but to each their own.

i asked my mom about what she thought since she’s a nurse and parametric, and she first thought they were face. she said the stitches looked poorly done to the point she didn’t even believe they were real. I also noticed the patients faces are sooo pale after the surgery. i’m not sure how expected that is but it was off putting to see them go from a medium skin tone to completely white like a ghost
I was surprised Tuv didn't mention that! It makes me believe the after photos were done with filters
@@gob6793 or probably because their blood flow is not yet completely restored since the stitches are so badly done?🤔

I'm Chinese, just to clarify something you mentioned about the captions:
About the weird " my sister " captions, in Chinese we commonly refer to older women as jiejie (big sister) as a formality, and it's especially used if you're trying to satisfy a client because it kind of means a compliment as well
You all are crazy! I’m like WOW that surgeon gave them new life you can tell they have not healed completely in after photos…
Oh, dude. Happy to "meet" you, via Ken, love your logic & integrity.
I think things look much calmer once they heal. One of my residents got dental work done, and they looked like a vampire for weeks because they kept removing the guaze. Now (two weeks later) that individual looks much better.
I recently had a complicated hip surgery (just got back home on Friday), but before I got it, I got three opinions. I don’t know for sure that these people didn’t get second or third opinions, but I would guess they didn’t. For anyone getting a surgery soon, PLEASE get additional opinions and ask them to show you testimonies from patients who have had the same or similar procedures. DO YOUR RESEARCH! Even simple surgeries have risk, and it’s important to go over the pros and cons. If your surgeon seems reluctant to answer any of your questions, find someone else.
I’m in the hospital right now post op from a different surgery. I hope you’re healing well!

6:05 Hey Tuv. The reason you might not always get results when reverse searching an image is because they might have gotten it from a social media site, like Twitter, Facebook, etc. The bots that crawl the web looking for an image don't actually search social media sites due to various privacy reasons, and so it's entirely possible he got the image from some random doctor on Facebook, maybe even Linkedin, without it being picked up by the bot.
I only read the first part of ur paragraph but if u "reverse search" on google, it shows links/pictures from everywhere and anywhere, since google is a big site. There can be someones profile picture from facebook, twitter, instagram, etc.
So how do you find it?
@@pastelpinksparrow9436 Most likely it wouldn't be possible. Perhaps agencies like the FBI or CIA has special access/tools that could scour any corner of the internet, but that's just pure speculation.
Another reason (not saying happened here) is it was made by a site like thispersondoesnotexist
@@pastelpinksparrow9436 if you have an iphone, google image search of there and that usually searches through social media as well as google pages too.
I’m sure they have ghost doctors that work with them. Which is totally illegal, but a common practice. They’ll have one plastic surgeon having three facelift going on at the same time but other doctors will come in and work on the patient.

I’m 56 and apart from my teeth (I need some dental work) I think I look good for my age too but unlike you I’ve smoked for over 40 years now, I barely moisturise and I have taken a lot of drugs throughout life (I rarely drink though) . I should look terrible but somehow I don’t. Ppl always think I’m younger than I am and younger men still hit on me. I often wonder how much better I’d look if I’d never smoked or taken drugs. The 2 things I do do that I think have helped are I sleep like a baby every night (8 hours minimum) and I’ve always exfoliated my skin. Both face and body. But I think genetics play the biggest role in my looks and how I age.
You look fantastic yourself. Is it me or are ppl aging slower these days??

This reminds me of a similar plastic surgery cult-like squad in my native country. The head of the squad is Emelian Braude, a guy with no degree in surgery who thinks it is okay to work in an unsanitary environment. He has followers that he teaches surgery, not being a certified surgeon himself.
The worst part?
He got away with it.
Except this surgeon is qualified and he only uses photos of the patients a few days later to show the audience how plastic surgery really is. There is no instant makeover RIGHT after surgery. Most of the time, it'll take weeks or even months to fully heal it. Especially face-lifts. This surgeon in particular just wanted to be more realistic and upfront rather than other surgeons who don't really like to include what surgery is like before being completely healed.
