    My experience is that a good coat of paste wax, Butcher wax or Johnson paste wax is the best protection for metal surfaces. Also, when there will be condensation I put something over the table tops to protect them from the moisture. Evaporust seems to be the best product for removing rust. Good luck, great videos.❤

    Good opportunity to layout toolsand confirm workflow. This will help with running power when you decide to insulate walls. Small shop heater will help take the chill out. Consider a dehumidifer to you shop.

      The workflow layout was the hardest part to nail down, and absolutely essential before the electrical goes in. Thanks for the tips, I appreciate them!

    Carbon coat is one rust cleaner and puts a protective slick coating in a package deal. Bit expensive, but so are tools. Good product.

      I also recommend carbonmethod. It is a bit pricy, but worth every penny.

    I'd recommend Boeshield Large Total Tool Care Kit. I've used it for years.

    Winnie, in our last move we put everything in the shop and it was piled so high I couldn't see the wall on the other side for three weeks! I had to borrow a post hole digger from my Son to get my mailbox put up because mine was lost. We're done moving and your video reminds us why! Electric is key to layout and I'm so happy to hear you have an electrician coming to work that out. Looking forward to your next video. Thanks for Sharing!

      Moving sure is “fun” 😂 I think I’ve reminded myself many times now why I don’t want to do this again anytime soon. But yikes that sounds like quite the amount of boxes to unbox if you couldn’t even see the wall. Hopefully you won’t have to move again and can just enjoy it now :)

      It’s been so wet all April long, I think we had maybe 1-2 days of no rain, so I’ll send some your way to Texas if you send me back some sun 😊

      @@standishwoodstory I would if I could! We might have to go to Pennsylvania or Virgina to find a nice, happy medium. :)

    What sort of power do you need for a shop like that? Do you have anything special?

    • @standishwoodstory
      @standishwoodstory  3 місяці тому +1

      Most of my tools are 110 / 15 amp tools but a few are 20 amps and a few are 220v so I need quite a bit of power and the ability to run my dust collection at the same time. I’ll be showing all of this and how I planned it all out in my next video :)
