I had to Google "spalted", and I now feel educated as well as artistically entertained! The subtle amount of blue resin really set the markings off a treat. Absolutely beautiful!
When you began turning the natural edge away I went, "Nooooooooooooooo!" so I'm glad you explained why you did it. I love the final shape of the vessel, and of course the spalting is exquisite.
The art of seeing the end of a thing from the beginning is something not many people can see. You, my friend, see it clearly. Your best piece yet! Stunning!
That really is a beautiful piece of Spalted Ash. it is by far my favourite Type of wood, no matter what tree it comes from. It is unique in the way it is produced and every piece is so different. I really love what you have done with this by adding the resin. It really has finished it off fantastically.
Lovely Andy! The patern on the wood made think of the time that you used and electrical current to burn random lines on the wood. You master so many techniques!
I don't think that could be improved in any way. The amazing natural patterning of the wood, the perfect contrast of the blue resin stripe. I love the pieces where the wood itself is the subject and you enable it to sing. Coloured pencils and mosaics of different coloured woods are great fun but there the star is the technique. Here it's all about the wood.
Cricky Andy what a bloody ripper, so much spalting I don't know where to look. Keep the dream alive son Aussie Aussie Aussie GDAY MATE from brisbane Australia
Andy you killed it,this is the kind of wood sculpture that I really enjoy watching you do,beautiful color, great wood grain.this is the kind of woodworking that I enjoy watching you do.great video as always.just keep on doing what you do best.😎😎😎👍👍👍
The patterns in that piece are beautiful, I wonder how old the tree was that it came from. Looks like it would take a life time to make something so naturally gorgeous....another great job of bring out that beauty..❤❤❤❤❤
Woweeee look at that beautiful wood grain. God is so great. HE made beautiful trees and now HE has given us a wonderful craftsman to show us how to make beautiful works of art. Absolutely grand

Googling now, 😊
Thanks
I love the look of spalted wood!
For those of us too lazy to check, Spalting is when fungi infect the tree and cause the wood to turn different colors
@@LadyBakeneko yep, that's me. Too lazy. Thank you😁😜

The spalting resembles lightning across the wood. I love the contrasting colors and subtle nuances.
No offence Mr. Phillip but God really is the greatest artist. That's not to say that you are not a wonderful artist yourself. Thanks for the videos. 😎
Lovely! Spalted wood is so beautiful
Beautiful vase. Thank you for using the blue resin. It makes the rest shine with it.😊
The veining is lovely. The touch of color doesn’t overwhelm the beautiful wood. Very nice!

Good looking piece.
Thank you kindly
Muito lindo 😍. Amei.
Beautiful
Thank you
simple but elegant
beautiful, when you took it off the thing I thought you had a lid too.
The colour and pattern in the wood makes it look like a map from a fantasy movie - I was looking to see if I could find the Misty Mountains.
The wood sounds so dry when you run your hands over it , reminds me of building balsa wood planes as a kid 😊
Muito bonito ; exelent 😊
