I got my hands on the kit a few days ago. I’m actually blown away by the level of detail, the panel lines & rivets etc are exceptional. I’ve waited a long time for a 1/48 Bucc and you guys & girls have certainly delivered, thank you very much!
1/48 Fairey Gannet next please Paramjit 😉
1/48 Fairey Gannet next please Paramjit ... Ohh Yeah ... The Gannet is gorgeous :)
How to design better models.. Hire a Passionate scale modeller (who is a class designer)
Indeed
What a really nice, down-to-earth bloke Paramjit seems! You can really 'feel' his excitement for his project though when he's sat next to real thing!
This looks a superb kit; I love the care and detail that he puts into his kits; his Mosquito is a great example of his careful approach, and I'm sure when I get hold of this new Buccaneer that I'll love it! 😊
Thank you Airfix for all these behind-the-scenes videos, previews, and 'Sprue Talk' shows; it's amazing to see all this open sharing of information which we never see from any other manufacturer (to my knowledge!). Thanks 😊
Great to have Paramjit working for Airfix, someone who not just does design the kits but also builds them as well, which is always an added bonus to know what the modeller wants from a kit
Seeing the designer, Paramjit, outside with the real Buccaneer- pure gold!
Amazing work, very well done. Really like these types of video, realky cool to hear from the dedigners and the chalkenges they face, and overcome. Great job, Airfix.
Let this guy loose designing a 1:48 RAF Puma helicopter please 😎
Top work Paramjit! Well done Airfix for this lovely series of interviews.
Great job Paramjit, please don't forget that there are Buccaneer groups on Facebook with expert knowledge, who flew and maintained the aircraft in the RAF and Navy, who would have been proud to have been consulted, the RAF S2B model must be next, with UK and Germany Sqn decals please! one note we rarely opened the top or side engine panels but always the lower panels, 2 or 3 times a day. And what about the nose fold, I remember Airfix 72 scale having this feature in the early 70s, this is how we squeezed them into the hangars.
Nice one!...I fell in love with the Buccaneer when HMS Eagle visited NZ in the early 70's and had been interested ever since... I recently got an Airfix Buccaneer 1/72.. thanks from NZ 👍🇳🇿✈️
Fantastic job, Paramjit! I'm beyond stoked that Airfix is so much better now. I grew up with Airfix kits, from the 32nd scale Sunbeam Rapier I built as 9-year-old in 1960, so Airfix has always been my preferred manufacturer.
And the result is we, love it!!
Just received mine and the 1/35 Austin ambulance today....had a wee quick look and 😳😲😎😍🥰!
The only minor criticism that I have, is that the Austin doesn't have a complete engine, I was a wee bit disappointed with that....other than that 🥇🏆!
Two phenomenal kits, outstanding work, can't wait for what will be next in 1/48 and 1/35 (plus 1/72, don't build much in that scale though)!
Thanks Airfix, I have received my Bucc and it looks a great kit. Now please how about an iconic British Aircraft, the 1/48 Fairy Gannet with wing fold.
Absolutely!
Top job Paramjit…👏👏👏👏. You done a great job. I think the extra pressure came from you knowing that Phil Flory and many of us on Flory models have been Ripping you about doing a Buck ….. so many congratulations on a great job. You just need to do a Jaguar, Gannet and Wessex next….🙏
Very lucky man to have experience a project such as that one.
Cheers!
You have so much talent and getting the chance to talk about your project for us is a real treat.
I'm in awe of the amazing work the Airfix team continue to do to release new models of such high quality. Great video, again!
Great insight into the design process, thanks to Airfix for allowing us all access to show us behind the doors.
Got one....Amazing. Looking back, the only one available was Matchbox in 1/72.
I am currently 2/3rds of the way through building this and I have to say it is very impressive and I have enjoyed building it.
Congratulations to Paramjit - a superb piece of work. Mine has just arrived and I'm really looking forward to building it.
Looks like an amazing kit with all the details we could wish for. A long time we have waited and you have the subject justice..110%
I am really looking forward to building this - been waiting for years! Well done Airfix and Paramjit 👍👍
I wouldn't worry about any project your asked to do, your doing a binding job. Keep them coming mate.
Thank you for all your work Paramjit...Amazing work and will be appreciated by many and from this day on...
Well done Paramjet! great work!
Beautiful in every way. the designing is fantastic and the kit goes together so well. No filler needed . I particularly like the design of the slipper tanks and cockpit. Its so good i have bought a second one.
Great work Paramjit!
Excellent! A must buy. They used to fly over my house when they were being serviced at RNAY Sydenham (now Belfast 'George Best' City Airport).
Bought the airfix magazine this afternoon to see the old girl in all her glory done a grand job sir
Brilliant! I have this kit and it's excellent! Well done Paramjit - fine work.
Love these videos...and cracking work
Brilliant video Paramjit, very interesting, well done. The Airfix Buccaneer 1:48 is a superb model, I really enjoyed building it.
Love the thinking behind the design video.
How about a 1/48 scale Raf and Royal Navy Phantom :) ?
Absolutely fantastic kit and iam definitely going to add it to the stash
He done a fab job i got mine friday and iv fallen in love already great job more please
Great to see this release, looks like you've done a fantastic job, please re-release the Sea Vixen I missed that first time around
I hope Buccaneer S.2B will be next since it's used as reference !! Looks great Paramjit !!
Top stuff!.
Amazing work, so much better than the last 1/48 Buccaneer which was a bit of a trial to build!
Anyway, looking forward to a 1/24 Tempest and Sea Fury 😁
Good video, thanks!
Great job.
Great looking kit, although I don`t usually build jets I think this one is a must. What I would love to see from Airfix in 1/48th scale are the Lancaster, Wellington, Halifax and Stirling. Any comments Airfix.
Awesome mate!! 1/48 scale Sepicat Jaguar next please!😊
Beautiful 👍
Gannet and Halifax in 1/48 would be huge sellers...
This kit looks amazing. I'd like to see a 1/72 scale sr-71 as all the existing kits out there in the scale are a bit old.
That looks good
Brilliant job, and congratulations to Paramjit. Awesome!
Hope that Airfix will do a Buccaneer S2B in 48
That is amazing 1/48 Bucc design Dr paramijt hopefully you design new tools in the future like 1/72 spitfire mk.xivc or 1/72 vampire FB.5.
Magnificent job on designing the kit..ordered mine..one thing..decal for the MDC cord on the canopy would have made that task a bit easier
If the engraving is on the inside as on the Airfix 1/72 Hawk you can get a great result by painting it and then polishing away any excess. I've built around 10 Hawks and this method has always delivered for me and is fun to do.
@@patrickcamp8076 Hopefully its the same set up
From the early box reviews I've seen, this is a really excellent kit. I think the build could have been made a bit more complex (by adding parts rather than some molded on detail), but this is easily as good a design as any outside and better than many others. The quality of the plastic also looks excellent, although we'll have to wait for build reviews to be sure.
I havent seen every 1/48 scale kit Airfix has produced recently (I own a few) and I have to say this seems to be amoungst the nbest of them, perhaps even the best one yet.
I know that WW2 aircraft seems to be main money maker for airfix judging by release cycle, but my wallet is open for any and all of Britains early jets made with this sort of quality.
I wil lalso add that I hope the Type 26 and Type 31 are on the 1/350 design board. The ship market may not be big enough but there is a big deficit of UK 1/350 scale WW1 and WW2 warships.
Very good!
I suggest the manufacture of the 1/48 kit of the Short Tucano trainer and also the Brazilian version of this trainer ... the EMB 312 Tucano.
With the flap down option it will be perfect
It will be a bestseller.
Thank you.
A 1/72 Blackburn Beverly would be nice.
There's a deposit of old planes in Toulouse near the Museum Aéroscopia
Why on earth did you bit include HMS Hermes 801 Sqn, as you have in 1/48? I am having an impossible task looking for decals for this variant
Next kit - how about a new TSR2 ?
Or a V bomber - I like the Vulcan personally but any of them.
We released a new tooled Vulcan last year in 1.72 scale.
if possible I would be interested in the software you work with?
I think it looks like SolidWorks.
