I really laughed at that line because I did wash my hands right before playing this game. I had been eating garlic knots and didn't want to get the cards greasy.
I'll add these to my list. Agricola seems amazing. I heard that Dominion is pretty amazing and Diplomacy too. I picked up Last Day on Earth. Can't wait to try that one out.

Was generally playing the Tabletop series in the background while I do some schoolwork and almost had an out of body experience hearing “wash your hands and wear a face mask because we are the world’s last hope to stop a Pandemic”
We named the red disease COVID. The blue disease, we named Depression (should've gone with Monkeypox) The yellow disease, we named "Florida Man Disease" because somehow Miami is always the first yellow city to receive a cube.
The more recent edition of pandemic's artwork is soooo much better looking. I really can't wait to get the expansions. I have become addicted to this game.
My brother got this game after watching this video, and it's completely awesome how the game pulls you in! Also, RIP X-Play...one day we will have gaming TV again..and it will be bigger and better and more awesome...with live games like twitch and the same Expo coverage!
Every time the outbreak music plays, it reminds me a bit of Mass Effect. I half expect a Reaper to float down, open it's glowing red eye and bellow out "*SHEPARD*." Looks like a fun game. A bit difficult, but fun!
Just played this game yesterday with a friend and my brother. The game did NOT want us to win. We played 3 times total, 2 on introductory (easy) mode, and 1 on heroic mode. On easy mode, it was tough. On heroic, the hardest mode, we had no chance. Don't ever think you're winning, unless you actually already Won the game. It can change quickly :D Thanks Will and Crew, for putting some of these cool, untraditional boardgames in the spotlight.
A few days after watching this video I bought Pandemic, then returned here today as I'm playing it and used this video as a guide. Absolutely love this game. I really feel for the people...I mean blocks....and I must now appologise to the East. I did my best.
Love that this show is coming back into focus with everyone quarantined. Why would you play legendary on your first round with people though. Even regular difficulty is tough
realistically, COVID 19 could have been a lot worse. There has been worse outbreaks in the past of other diseases. (to Clarify, I'm not saying to not do anything about COVID 19). I'm just saying that imagine if this was as bad as Spanish flu earlier in the 20th century which killed 50 million people. Hell even the flu kills 600 thousand people every year, and Covid has beaten that at 800k as of now( its gonna get worse). all I'm saying is that COVID 19 is not Legendary difficulty. Its medium mode at best and we are still getting pewned...
Pausing the video at 40 seconds to say I love Ed Brubaker. Had no idea that this episode had him in it. Amazing comics from this man. Excited for the episode now.
Thank you Wil! After watching Tabletop play Pandemic I have since bought it and played it with multiple groups of friends. But one set of friends after having played it bought it and played it with their family. Who then bought it and played it with their friends. Who then bought it and played it with their friends. You could call that the Circle of Awesomeness
I saw this years ago (when it first came out, I think). Funnily enough, it popped up as a recommended video while I was watching news about the Corona virus. Oddly, I was thinking of playing this a few hours ago...
Seeing Morgan Webb makes me so very sad about this.. Esquire Network bullshit. G4 was one of my favorite stations when it was there. They had character despite all of their shows just being about games and gadgets. I never once got bored even after watching episodes multiple times. It's a real shame they replaced it with, in my opinion, horrendous reality shows.

Big thanks to Wil for introducing this to me and my friends. Had a game last night on 'Legendary Mode' (all 6 epidemic cards), not only did we get all four cures but managed to eradicate all of them with 4 cards left in the deck. Still savouring the victory.
Played this today for the first time, already have a love hate relationship with it and our friends agreed we should never play cooperative games again haha
I fell on the Formula D Table Top episode and I've just decided to watch all the episodes. Seriously, Wil, really awesome of you bringing back the popularity of table top games.
She looks like she could be a badass elf from Lord of the Rings. She doesn't need anymore makeup. Just wardrobe. ...and kind of like Sif from Thor. (Kyle XYs girlfriend/tube sister)
Had game night and decided to play Pandemic for the first time... And we WON BICHES ! Yes we played on the easiest version but still, very shocked on our first go. So now since of course I think I'm an expert in Pandemic, we're gonna play again tomorrow but at hardest difficulty. Let's see what happens. Love Table Top by the way.
It's all about Pandemic Legacy! My wife and friends play it weekly and keep journals of what happens from game to game with our characters. It adds another layer of RPG to the game. And it's awesome.
yeah...I see people saying it's not that hard, but if you play by the rules it's brutal; like shuffling the epidemic cards correctly so their not at the bottom of the deck but evenly spread out; I've had friends just shuffle it all together and they NEVER got the epidemic card lol. using up all the disease cubes is commonly how people lose as well but I've seen people at local card shops play and they just don't put down those cubes when it's called for because they have no more and continue playing. Sharing knowledge is so hard to do in this game 'cause it requires the card of the place you or your friend is in and both of you have to be there, but again, friends just give whatever they want to others without considering the actual rules. fun game, definitely not impossible but it shouldn't be so easy to just breeze over with 10 straight wins.
POV, you’re watching this in 2022 while stuck at home during Covid but also have the game and have been wanting to play for the entirety of the actual pandemic.
Thanks for the tip. The whole family loves Pandemic, and we even bought the expansion. It's probably the reason that the wi-fi-less period during this last move was relatively painless.
My Room-mate picked up this game, with 2 expansions, today. We've played it 5 times already, about to start the 6th, but we've won every game so far.. Although all but one game really came down to a one turn win or loose scenario. Having only 1 card to draw, not having anymore counters to play on another, They have all been nail biter finishes. I can say is its is GREAT FUN.
Marshall Phelps we never get any of the big flus though.. due to people staying in when it's mid winter... remember the h1n1 like 20 people in the whole state got it
noone realised that on the "good" cards u can see the swiss flag... instead of the read cross *G* .... its simple, red ground white cross=Switzerland white ground red cross= international red cross, dont desturb our commentators on olympics with questions about the nearest hospital plz!
I love this entire series. My friends and I have started playing Catan and everybody I introduce to it loves it. I think Pandemic will be the next thing I introduce to everyone!

Can't stop watching tabletop!! I mean seriously, why am I watching someone else play a board game for an hour and a half?????? Great show guys.. looking forward to season 2/3/4/5...
Just got the game because of your TableTop Video. Played 2 player and we won by curing the red disease on the turn in the phase just before I was to draw two player cards when there was only one remaining. Talk about close!!
Judging from the rate of pickup of Epidemic cards in this game, I can tell that the game was set up incorrectly. This looks like an old version of Pandemic but the rule that applies to the version I own is that if there are 6 Epidemic cards in the game, you need to make 6 piles of the cure cards, and shuffle the Epidemic cards separately within these piles after which you stack these shuffled decks with epidemic cards in them. This spreads Epidemics more evenly throughout the game which gives the game a bit more balance as it otherwise depends a bit too much on luck where epidemics are placed within the cure deck. Back to back Epidemics are still possible, but will then be followed by a longer opportunity for cure cards because of the separate stacks within the deck. Just had to point that out ;)
I bought this game because of this video. It's a lot of fun, and it's usually the go-to game for my brothers and I. We don't win all that often though...
The new edition of this game is beautifully done. It has plastic disease cubes and everything else is wood. The board looks really clean and clear and the cards are beautiful.
WHY HAVE I ONLY DISCOVERED THIS CHANNEL NOW T_T Gotta thank my prof for making me interested in Pandemic and looking up tutorial videos for it, which ended up with me finding this video!!! 👌
“Even though sometimes the game world is so much scarier than the one we want to leave behind”

“wash your hands and put on your face mask”
I can't get anybody to play Pandemic with me anymore.
30 seconds in, "Wash your hands and put on a face mask..." Oh for the days when that was a joke.
I miss Table Top. This was such a good series.
This is the only series I watch in this channel.
it rly was. would love to see new episodes with some of the old peeps :)
Try game the game it’s about as close as it gets
I know dood
Same. Wish he would have kept it going.
Hearing “wash your hands and put on a face mask” from a 7 year old video is eerily scary
Will Wheaton the Wise. 😊
I got this game as a Christmas present 😂
@@divix22 same😂
Same
It's cause it's the obvious solution to any pandemic and if everyone did it normally the world would be a lot less disease stricken
Who else is watching this while the world is being ravaged bij COVID-19? Just ordered this game.
I have a game store ... I sold Legacy Season 1 several days ago and the regular copy today. I wasn't sure how to answer when someone called asking if we had Pandemic in. Of course we laughed and laughed about it as I handed his Lysoled copy in a bag on a 7 foot pole ... and we laughed some more ...
Bought this game a week ago and going to play it today. Haha! 😅
why play a board game when you can experience the real one
I am. My gf just got me this game for Christmas. I have a feeling it's really picking up in popularity.
Happy belated plagueiversary
"Wash your hands, and put on a face mask"
Oof. Hits a little close to home these days.
a little TOO close
Its hilarious to know people came back to this video during this actual pandemic.
JS1697 i actually asked my brother who’s also a big fan of board games if it would be tone deaf to play this now since we own it lmao
I really laughed at that line because I did wash my hands right before playing this game. I had been eating garlic knots and didn't want to get the cards greasy.
The first epidemic in this game happened in Beijing. Boy, did this episode age well.
Basically I've watched 5 episodes of Table Top and ended up buying 5 new board games...
Oh man my wife is addicted to new board games
Pandemic is so great!!!!
If you haven't played Settlers - it's a must.
Munchkins is pretty fun too.
We have all that except pandemic
Alhombra (sp?) is pretty cool. Battlestar galactica is pretty bad ass, dominion is good and simple to pick up. Hardest to master is agricola i find
I'll add these to my list. Agricola seems amazing. I heard that Dominion is pretty amazing and Diplomacy too.
I picked up Last Day on Earth. Can't wait to try that one out.

Corona inspired me to rewatch TableTop, this video in particular.
We live inside the game...
@@chelseascreatures Nah yellow. the Beer is yellow so I vote yellow
After more than three years I can finally rewatch this episode.
My oh my the world was so different 10 years ago!
"You've basically switched form Florence Nightingale to Jesus" 10/10
That was 21:04. Then Rob adds "Flo-Jo". priceless.
We need both here in the future in 2020
I can't believe it's been 11 years since I first saw this video. And just today I purchased my own copy of Pandemic.
Was generally playing the Tabletop series in the background while I do some schoolwork and almost had an out of body experience hearing “wash your hands and wear a face mask because we are the world’s last hope to stop a Pandemic”
whoever put the audio in deserves an award. IT FITS SO WELL! :D
Glad I got to play this game 2 years ago. I think we might finally win this year.
Pandemic's not over yet...
I'm done having hope.
This is our forever, now.
Wil's comment at the start about the game world being scarier than the real world didn't age well 😂😂
Right, but only because the world in the game is actually better than the one we're stuck with.
It aged perfectly
I remember playing this as a little kid. Then today I saw it at the bookstore and it was like I fell in love again 😍😍😍😍
I can pretty much guarantee that, in all Pandemic games played post-2020, one of the diseases will end up being named coronavirus.
Can confirm but we usually don’t call it coronavirus anymore we usually just say covid
LOL did you read what I named my last disease..and tried to cure it?
LOL. In plague inc. you can name your disease. Naming it Covid is so...fun in both plague inc, and plague inc: da cure.
We named the red disease COVID.
The blue disease, we named Depression (should've gone with Monkeypox)
The yellow disease, we named "Florida Man Disease" because somehow Miami is always the first yellow city to receive a cube.
And guess what? It's almost always the red disease, because COVID came up in China.
The more recent edition of pandemic's artwork is soooo much better looking. I really can't wait to get the expansions. I have become addicted to this game.
Just lost my first game, Thanks Will, because of you my birthday presents were board games.

You don't actually need to eradicate diseases to win, you "just" need to find all the cures.
Yeah you're right.
+Flyingfox Because I "can"?
Now seriously, I've put quotes to signify that that "just" isn't really that simple. Fair enough?
+David Baranga I think you're the one that needs to do some reading.
maybe he has a house rule
+Robert Pysh Sure, he doesn't say so though... I also play this game with some 'house rules'. :)
Who else feels like we are playing on 'Legendary' difficulty with Covid19??

Considering how unpredictable this game is, I'd love to see another episode with Pandemic with a different set of players.
I absolutely love Pandemic, one of our house favorites
Seeing Morgan Webb makes me so very sad about this.. Esquire Network bullshit. G4 was one of my favorite stations when it was there. They had character despite all of their shows just being about games and gadgets. I never once got bored even after watching episodes multiple times. It's a real shame they replaced it with, in my opinion, horrendous reality shows.

Does anyone know where to find the outbreak music ? Was it made for the show ? I like it.

I bought this game because of this video. It's a lot of fun, and it's usually the go-to game for my brothers and I. We don't win all that often though...

Wil... love your intros! Horrible puking bleeding miserable death. OMG!!! SO FUNNY! Table Top is awesome with you!
