@@Maseruxer I'm sorry, bud. I wasn't a dedicated fan, but the few times I watched him were good, and he always seemed an intelligent, talented, fun, and decent guy who worked hard for all he accomplished. I'm sure there are a great many people for whom the news hits hard whenever it reaches them.
hey, it just occurred to me, it might not be WIL'S luck at throwing dice, but the spot he sits in, b/c ify was constantly getting dracula event cards at night.
RIP Grant Imahara... Just heard the news today about his passing. This video felt like it could be good to watch for some fun memories and especially since this fine group of players including him got me into the board game itself.
I was just taking a trip down memory lane with TableTop, I wasn't expecting to get hit like this. I can't believe I forgot about these episodes. Rest in peace Grant. I wish you could've stayed a while longer.
Jakob I don't know. This is his third tabletop episode I think, and the first one where he isn't the asshole in the game pretty much. Lol. He definately was in small world. And I think he was in his second game whose name I don't remember. Even though he wasn't even the traitor. (Some zombie game, dead of winter maybe?)
That wouldn’t have been very effective for them Chris, and certainly a waste of a juicy steak... 🧐 They’d have done better to equip themselves with *stakes.* 😊
HuggeBugg that’s no way to talk as someone who obviously got through high school. You’ve got to add a possessive pronoun such as your. Example: Shut *your* mouth.

One of the best tables in terms of chemistry. Like up there with Small World, Dead Winter, and Betrayal at the House on the Hill. Oh yea and The Resistance.
Just sitting down watching “Van Helsing” on TV for the ???? time. Then remembered watching this playthrough and the reference to Grant’s work on the movie. I never actually thought “Van Helsing” was a ground breaking documentary or an Oscar contender - just a damn good fun movie. Never will forget Grant or his work - still and always will be sadly missed. Wil is still the most entertaining host of boards games I have watched (bought several of the played games after watching his reviews / playthroughs). 👍
I was watching a game tutorial when this thumbnail came up, and I just teared up. So thankful I got to grow up with him and the rest of the myth busters cast. It got me super interested in STEM at a young age.
Watching this the second time to get me into the game after a year of my last play. So much fun and chemistry in this TableTop episode! Rest in Peace Grant! ❤️
Ify had me busting up multiple times in this episode. 16:08 "You got a lean into it like when you're trying to start a car. 'Weeeeeweeeeeweeee goonnnna catch us some Dracula.'"
These two episodes are my two favorite in the entire tabletop series. When I first saw this like 5 years ago I fell in love with this game and the mechanics in it and the theme. As someone who's read the book this game drips that gothic atmosphere. I loved it so much that that I wanted to get the game but turns out because companies are confused on publishing rights this game is no longer in print. I was super bummed but year later for my 20th birthday my friends found a copy for me on ebay nd got it. OMG best birthday gift ever. To my friends thank you and to everyone if you have the opportunity to play this game do it. It's long but oh so worth it
Not to be a dick, but a) he generally referred to it as "the heart of the cards" amd b) it wasn't just the Millennium Puzzle because Joey got to use it. Granted, I'm basing it off the 4Kids dub, so who knows what the original said.
Brendan Eichler the jp ver don't use the "Heart of the Cards" phase that much, but the concept still here, like "believe in your deck/card/monster", a strong duelist "always draw the card he want" or like 5ds, "win the battle by the power of bond"(Kitzuna/絆)
May you rest forever in peace, Grant Imahara. You provided millions, myself included, with years of entertainment with the use of science in your time of mythbusters as well as the pure joy of just watching you play games with some friends.
That would be incredible, though I don't know if they would do it. I suppose Paul is in Vancouver BC now, which isn't too far away. Loved hearing the shout-out here though.
The Van Helsing movie was great, it's hilariously over the top cheese and it's the fun kind of not giving a damn all the way through! I WILL FIGHT YOU.
With the added hilarity that the Hugh Jackman werewolf is all ripped, clean and sorta sexy-monsterish, while every other werewolf in the film is a ragged mess. *LOL* Like, it's Hugh Jackman, so obviously he has to look better than the rest of us dirty peasants by comparison. xD

What a great group pairing IFY killing this, and it's always fun to see Amy and Grant here. So excited for part 2!
My favorite part has got to be 25:12 when Ify made that Montell Jordan song reference joke. Played it over and over again. So perfect.

Gábor Bodzás I think he meant Czechoslovakia - which is wrong too :)
yes lets explain this in detail: even though we love you that was not through at all. the map obweasly shows the Austrian at this point of time Austrian-Hungarian empirer. If Europeans were tested on their knowledge of North American history and geography, they would fail just as badly. Based on what I see on U.K. television, half of Britain thinks Chicago is a state.
The battle at the end was messed up. The card Nocturnal Visit says that each combat resolved during the next dawn or day is resolved as if it was night. They even say it "So if there are any weapons they'll break" ( 37:55)
Wil's second Claws card also should have dealt another 2 damage.
He used escape as bat wrong as well. That card says it only works if dracula is in the fight.
wait but since both cards have claws, they cancel each other out? someone help me on this
Dracula attacks with claws. If the hunter has a card that has claws on it, it counteracts Dracula's claws.
Dracula can only break weapons at night using the Strength card, which Wil never actually played. It's quite possible he didn't have any, given the random distribution of Dracula's tactics.
Acidhelm's right, though, that Ify should have taken 2 more damage, putting him at 3.
