You are ROCKING this out! Can't say enough how much I appreciate all that you, and the Praydog team are doing for the world of VR. The mods have transformed the way I play, and I know more people will discover the power of PCVR largely through this mod. The spreadsheet is SO HELPFUL. The VR world owes you all a great debt.....

This is probably one of the best videos breaking UEVR I have seen to date. One of the worst things I don't like about some of these very high profile tech youtubers is they are quick to promote something and say its amazing. They don't break it down step by step or they blaze through something so fast that something so simple but even more critical gets unnoticed. too many times I've bumped into that experimenting with these new and amazing features, ultimately I just quit trying to get it to work. Like DS4 which apparently can brick a PC if removed improperly. That was never mentioned in any tutorial video for DS4 that Ive seen. Thank you, I hope your channel takes off and I'm sure people will like your work.

Virtual desktop works better for me than steam link for those that may run into problems
Great to hear - yeah, I recommend people try Steam Link and Air Link (free) and Virtual Desktop ($15) and see what works best - may be different for each person, and who knows, maybe different depending on game as well. Thanks for the comment!
I didn't buy Higwart's Legacy because there was a rumor that they were gonna release a VR version. With this, I just bought it right away. Lucky for me, it was 50% off. I can't wait to try it.
I have 2 questions for you. Would you recommend trying a gane in flat mode first and then trying it? Second question: Does it work with Xbox Game Pass? If yes, then how?
I hope Hogwart's Legacy runs well in there - I can see that being very popular with this mod! As for trying game in flat first, I'm always one who would love to have my first experience with any game by VR. So I would probably always choose that when able. With this mod, that could change things a little, as each game might be affected a little differently, but I would still say dive into the VR first, and see how it does! As for GAME PASS, I believe it will work for PC game pass. Not 100% sure on that, as I don't have game pass, but I believe I've heard people in the industry talking about that. Good luck!
@jollyjulian hey! I just tried it and it, and it worked marvelously! I am totally blown away by it. I made some changes to get the best result possible. I used Virtual Desktop with Open XR, my in-game settings were preset high, and I used DLSS Quality. With my 3090, I could achieve 50-60 FPS using Godlike resolution with VD, which looks amazing!
I did have a few bugs like when the VR would not work with Open XR anymore, and the other methods were far inferior. Fortunately and after some good time of trying different things, I found the fix by hitting reinitialize Runtime on the app overlay menu. I had a few frame drops here and there, but overall, it was pretty good. As a Harry Potter fan, it was incredible to visit Hogwarts in glorious VR 😍
100% works with Xbox Game Pass and EA Play. :)

Thank you, PD! Really appreciate the comment, especially coming from you. Been enjoying your content for quite some time. It did work with Steam Link, and I was pleased about that. I know some people have not had great luck with Steam Link overall, but so far, it's working well for me. I do use VIRTUAL DESKTOP as well, and have loved that for years. I'm going to milk my 2080ti as long as I can, but MAN, do I want a 4090! Happy new Year to you!
The quality seems quite good for me, but I am still using a 2080ti, so someone with a really beefy GPU might be able to crank settings WAY up and notice more issues with Steam Link. But so far, it's working well for me. More testing with airlink and Virtual Desktop soon as well. Thanks for the question!
@@jollyjulian depands on what you think is good quality the biggest problem i have with mods like this is the poor visual quality always a huge amount of edge lader effects yes you will never get the native VR quality but that is the problem im a huge quality nerd
Tried it with Mechwarrior 5, and it was actually smoother than the VRWarrior mod. Didn't have any luck with virtual desktop though. It played but just played on a screen in VR. I didn't really do much research though, just installed it and played, so I'm probably doing half a dozen things wrong. Also the camera needs some adjusting but that doesn't seem too hard. Are you gonna Try and convert that star wars game to 1st person?
Great stuff, AK! I'd recommend giving it a bit more of a try with MW5, and tweak settings a little to see how it works. That fuller immersion with the "full VR" is really great to see, as you know. But it may take tweaking a bit in UEVR mod and bumping graphic settings in game down a bit. For me, I'll always take immersion of VR over higher-quality rendering and textures (to a degree), but everyone is different, of course. And you can move the camera around very easily in UEVR mod - so you can tweak that as you go in the game to get it right where you want it. I do plan on trying JEDI FALLEN ORDER in 1st person when I can get in and tweak, or find a profile someone puts up if they beat me to it! Thanks much, and have a great start to the new year.
Keep in mind there are a few render modes to try out that might help. Default is native stereo. Then there is sequential and something else. One of those might work better.
Here is something to keep in mind. There are 2 vr modes. 1 is fully immersive where youre actually in the game, can look around, etc. The OTHER is a window'd game mode like a floating movie screen that has the 3d depth. FF7 Intergrade wouldnt work right in the immersive mode, but worked ULTRA WELL in the windowed 3d screen mode. Even on my 3060ti.
You bet - totally true! I used RESHADE for quite a while, which worked great for 3d mode. And that is a wonderful option as well. And it probably is less processor and graphic card heavy. Great to have both options, and I look forward to playing different things and seeing what works best. Thanks for that comment!
I though it was just me. Worked great with other games but I couldn’t get it to look good with ffvii. Also, the menu was all over the place. The Luke Ross mod does work good for that game
@@andresmedina7670 give it a try with the windowed mode. It's the setting next to desktop spectator I think ..
@@pookienumnums doesn’t that take you out of vr and makes it so you play it in a 3D screen mode-ish?
@@andresmedina7670 what I was saying is the full immersion VR didn't work with ff7 remake but the alternate mode where its basically a window into the 3d vr environment worked perfectly. Like. Ultra good high fps. So I was saying it's still worth trying in that mode of you didn't have some other method for the full vr that worked well.

RDR2 is not unreal engine. It uses Rockstars RAGE engine.
re2 remake isnt either nor is a lot of other games but they work. @@StriderVM
@@CutestBoyInTheMorgue Oh no problem, I'm just correcting the commenter. But still this program is actually what I literally want. Which is like turning your VR headset into a giant monitor with head movement tracking. XD

RED DEAD with a very proper VR mod would be fantastic, but yeah - UE games only. But dang, there are THOUSANDS of them! Over 10,000, I believe that this could work on. Good comments all around on this thread. GREAT work Praydog team!

Yes! I believe in most cases, if not all, if they have controller support, you can use the controller instead!
