I see you are using your go to Amazon molds. Do you use any shape retainer ( dono what they are called) to have a consistent circle .Those 3d printed casing.

Loving your videos as a beginner learning a lot. My question is how about pigment + TD + Cementall ratio? If we use pigment in the mix wouldnt it lower the cement all ratio and disturb integrity? And also do you press your vessels afterwards for solidity? Some of my test vessels break some not I dont know how to test them or if should I :D
I seen another person sprayed alcohol on the bottom to take the bubbles out. I love your channel ❤️ your energy and teaching its awesome. Have a blessed day sir.
Wow alcohol. I would never think to use it but if it works by all means... I wonder if it matters the percentage... Anyway thanks for the comment and lovely comment.
Hi Jai 😊 i really need your help. I follow your recipe for white cementall jars and its always stunning when i demold, but as the jar dries, i see grey coming back and i don't know why. Do you have an idea of why its happenning ? Thanks so much
You can actually zero out your scale between different additives! That's what I do when I work with resin or hairdye!!! This is so inspiring!!! My mold comes tomorrow
Thank you. You will have to test it as not all cement, sand and plater are the same. At the very least you will need sand to add to your cement. Watch this video it will explain why. ua-cam.com/video/KCByTrXFXzQ/v-deo.html
Hi - bit confused on the percentage of titanium dioxide. in this video its just under 10% but in another video you mentioned only to use 5%. Can you please advise?
Thank you, Im super new to this and I’ve been wanting to make really bright candle vessels. It’s really hard without jesmonite, but it is really expensive so if you have any tips on making them super bright please lmk!!! Again thank you so much
@@upvibecandle I sure will. I do 2 tests. 1 with the 10% TD. 1 with the 5% TD. May be interesting to see how the shades look compared with each other. I will make an adjustment to the water in the 5% test.

This is awesome but I have a question I seen other people just used plaster of Paris it came out beautiful with no bubbles but is it safe without cement?
Plaster of Paris is the weakest of all plasters and I wouldn't try making a candle with just POP. However, you can try other forms of plaster that should help you achieve your goals.
I like your channel :) I'm a little confused. I thought the TD or pigment is in addition to the cement all. Because you use up to a certain percentage of the cement all. If your adding the TD in the total grams of everything then your actually using less cement all. Isn't that bad for the integrity? Also you have me scared of selling my candles because of safety issue of cracking. What if someone ignores my safety sticker and burns it 4 hours and it gets really hot. Is it going to break and wax get everywhere or worse? I'm getting scared to do this.
TD should be no more than 5% of your dry mixture. Anything more starts to compromise the integrity of your vessel. If you test your work thoroughly you shouldn't be worried and not to make you feel nervous but pretty much EVERYONE is going to ignore your safety sticker. The human race as a whole will do what they want, forget to do it or avoid it altogether. So, add the label, test your work get great insurance and let the world continue to rotate as it does and you should be fine.
Hi Jai. Thanks for the video. Question........How do you know how much titanium dioxide to use for each jar? I see you used 10% titanium dioxide from the amount of cement all you had. Globmarble has a video where they talk about how it is not recommended to use more that 5% titanium dioxide from the total amount of concrete because it lowers that PSI by a lot. Since these jars are for candles, the strength of the jar is very important for safety. What are you thoughts? Thanks!
Great question. When I first started I used 10% and then switched to 5% as going over that amount will start to compromise the vessel. So now 5% is the max I use. To figure out the amount to use just get your total formula amount and multiply that by 5%... and that will give you the amount to add in. Hope that helps.
Great question. Because I don't have a lot of waste to begin with I am at an advantage. Then once I am done pouring I try my best to scrape out any residual product into my garbage bag. I then add water to my bowl and loosen the rest off. In my basement I have an unfinished section with a concrete floor similar to a garage floor that I throw the rest of the content there. When it dries it blends in with the floor and I start again. I hope that helps.
I still need to get control of my waste. I’m new to this and both times I’ve made TOO much! I want to start a small candle business but I’m so nervous. I’m terrible at math lol and this all looks so easy but it’s not!

I have never tried it. I read they are treated by different surface materials. 630 is treated with zirconium & aluminia, but 620 is treated with silica & alumina. With that said they both whiten so I would think you could get very similar results.
How do you know how much of cement/water to add for that mold.I guess the question is how do I figure how much cement/water to use depending on the mold I would use?
I did a trial an error. I started with way too much and then slowly started to subtract 5 to 10 grams at a time until I was spot on. Also if you have Cement All you need approximately a 4 to 1 ratio of CA to water. Hope that helps.
Also, why dont you zero out your scale each time you add something? That way you dont have ro add up everything. Zero the scale after you put the empty bowl on it. Pour the 255g of cement. Zero the scale. Put 25g of titanium, zero the scale, add the water you need.
Ok so I actually tried this the other day and something is wrong with the formula because it was wayyyyyyy too much water either I did it wrong or it was wrong on here! I was able to crush the vessel with my hands! I did something wrong. I use this formula, one teaspoon of TD per one cup of cementall. It usually works pretty good.
Why do the parts that are up come out foamy? I make my containers with Cement All, Color Direct, and distilled water. Sometimes I use Titanium Oxide. I have a soft mix left to handle. But when it dries, the part that is exposed to the elements becomes porous.
I've been using the same molds and when it's time to release the cement or what ever I happen to be using I have found with every one the top of my cement is not perfectly round what's up with that? It's like oval urrrrrr I'm so mad.
