Your tips and video footage have helped me immensely steve. Been fishing for 50 years (alot more when I was younger).but I've been reignited lately because my 11 year old grandson REALLY is loving it.started watching your vids in fear of giving him bad info, and I've learned tons I never knew.now I cant stop watching them.great stuff! Thanks from both of us👌
Been using it for 3 weeks bro in the uk amazing results absolutely imperative that first 2 holes are set at 30 degrees this makes the movement much more fluent and don't use nail weight at the bottom of the worm I'm hammering the fish with it you must set it up 100% correct
I fished an area that was already fished and cleaned up on lots of bass, my brother and nephew both fished it hard and I out fished them both using this rig, the action is unbelievable, I had 10 pre rigged baits ready to go......People You need to try this !!!!!!!!!
I thought it was fantastic after i saw it and decided to make one… well the day i tried it for the first time and didnt expect much .. was i wrong .. this nice bass about 2 lbs .. came out of no where … the sun shone on the rig exactly at the right moment…. Bam .. before i knew what happened… only by reflex i got it… it was one experience i will never forget…i think maybe you are right about the original design and the curve of the coffee sticks … sometimes mine dont work.. it has to be done right to make the worm crunch and straighten… thank you.
Reminds me of the recoil worms Berkley sold years back, but way better action ....Looks like it will get destroyed every substantial hook up so rigging several like you said is def the way to go. SnagProof makes a weedless tail weighted leech that was molded bent and could straighten when twitched too. That was great for Carolina rigging long before dedicated softs were around. . But this looks way better than anything so far. YEP! that's the ticket. Rig super durable elaztec/3x this way and it will float above the Caorlina weight. It will also take a beatin way better. SOLD thx Steve.... You give me thinks LOL
Guys are saying the hook puts a lot of stress on the worm. That’s a lot of work for a one-fish lure. I’m holding out until someone finds a variation that makes it more durable. Also thinking about rigging this with modified drop shot because our rocky Sierra foothill lakes have so many snags.
I had some success with this rig last summer. When I added a swivel a foot or so up the line, I got some interesting, twitchy, corkscrew action. With the swivel, I could sort of swim it back with that coroscrew, watersnake kind of swim. Try ading a swivel. Im going to work on it more this summer.
There are easier forms of the Inu-Rig - for example the Manko Rig or the Inu-Wacky-Rig of Matt Stefan . . . much easier to set up and easily to replace the worm. 👌😍
What is key is the tubi needs to go in at an angle maybe 30 degrees and when goes into worm again at an angle opposite to one at top. This allows line to loop into tubing to final hole. This can go in perpendicular or at an angle since it’s last one. I played with it at lake this past weekend didn’t catch Course nothing else worked either. Having tubes at an angle reduced drag and line pulled in and out easier. The worm looked really cool when presented horizontally along bottom. Was just sexy nutty the way it moved. Another thing to watch worm with flat side works best as you can make sure worm body doesn’t twist as your going in. If it twists you think your angles are right but the twist actually makes your tubes at wrong angles to each other and create drag on the line and worm doesn’t move correctly. Thanks for the vid. I had seen two others and took this to the lake. This past weekend to try Coffee stirrers work awesomely to insert.
Great question. I have not used one, but I would sure think the action would be similar. The flatter worm will definitely pull differently,, but probably worth a try.
I am interested in hearing more on what type of worms guys are having success with. I rigged a couple of slender finesse worms and have two things to change-- my tubes were not canted and I was using copolymer line. My worms did not straighten out like they should. I do use a 1/0 finesse hook at the tail also a ribbon tail. I will switch to canted tubes, 6lb flouro and weedless hooks. Going to try with senkos- both Yamamotos and Dingers.
It will be very interesting to see! Totally agree with you. I think the next one I am going to use will be a little heavier, like a magnum size. Be interesting.
Looks like a mosquito larvae on a big scale. Summer time swampy areas would be a great place for this I think. As long as you can get it in without picking up grass
Steve how do you have time to film all this content, and underwater footage? You either don't have a job, or you have a really good job. Haha. Keep up the great vids 👍
Hey Steve, I'm confused. Does the hook just free fall then? Is the hook itself actually.tied somewhere kn the line? If not will this effect my Hooksett and hook up ratio? How will.the hook penetrate and stay pinned if it isnt.tied on directly to my.line?
The hook is held in place by skin hooking it through the worm, but the split ring tied off at the bottom is what really keeps things together. It is a "feel the weight" and reel down and set the hook type of a presentation as opposed to a rear back and rip it like when fishing a jig. It will be very interesting to use this a lot and experiment with hook up ratio. I had the exact same thoughts as you when I first saw this.
It has great action but I’ve put a couple together and it’s just too much messing around and time consuming. Also don’t like how the hook isn’t very direct. I’m sure it would work but just not excited about it.
I hope you get a chance and respond. I have heard Pro fisherman like yourself says, Bass has not seen this fishing lure or this action before. I don't believe Bass has the memory to remember what they have seen before, or it is just like some fashion statement that they like because they have never seen it before. What does that mean when you say Bass has not seen it before? Would you mind explaining that will
Biologists have done studies that show bass do have memories. There is debate on how long that memory is. Edwin Evers has a great video on his channel with a biologist from Berkley Lures that talks about it.
Hey Steve boy that rig has nice action I new about it but me as well I have not tried it yet. Thanks for the time you spend teaching us to be a better angler and god bless you and your family and any animals you have. Ps tight lines bud.
I’ll continue to throw plastic worms, but doubt I’ll ever try this rig. Too much work for one soft plastic. I want as much time as possible throwing baits, not rigging them. Good luck to those that try it.
Some vids out there rig it perpendicular each time it inserts and that style rigging snags a bit. Angle on first two entries. Last one can be perpendicular since your just rigging a ring on it to pull on worm. Also hook eye has to be over one of entry holes so it doesn’t create drag that way
Oh no Steve… not another technique! I sold about 1/2 of my bass tackle to get away from this stuff! That said, I’m intrigued to see how you do with it. Please do an update video. Until then, I’ll just keep a wacky rigged senko tied on🎣

I like the Berkley PowerBait Straight Money for this rig. It seems to straighten back out better and faster than your standard worm.
Nice! Thank you for adding that for everyone.
die Idee mit dem Schwimmenden Wurm hatte ich auch. Ich habe schwimmendes Material genommen !

That pre-rigging is definitely key to saving a lot of time on the water. Thanks for sharing this!
Thanks for the video, it's the first one I've watched on this system that explains it. Looks like something to definitely try.
Good luck!
Excellent video! Thanks Steve.
Thanks!

Yes, it will be really interesting to see what modifications come out. I need to play around more with the o ring for sure.

Awesome! Thank you for letting me know!
Great vid! Excited to show this off to my dad lol
Good luck with it!
I can't believe I've never thought of that. A floating worm with weedless hooks might be neutral bouyant or drop slower.
It's an interesting rig for sure!
That is pretty sweet where is pretty sweet newer I haven't tried it yet but I made two different colors
Good luck with it!
Strike king or Zman needs to make an Elaztec bait with premade holes. This could be the new Ned rig venture for them.
It would speed things up rigging for sure!
@@SteveRogersOutdoors and last an indefinite amount of fish!
Small Spinner blade on a swivel at the back o ring
That would work nice! Thanks for adding this.
can you just melt the holes in the worm with a hot spike?
That sure might work. I would give it a try and see if the line slides through easily. Let me know how it goes!
Thanks for all the work with the camera angles. Excellent!
You're welcome! It was fun.

Great video, Steve. Maybe I can try this one day
I'm looking forward to really giving it a workout soon. Have a wonderful day!
@@SteveRogersOutdoors you too. And good luck with it
It's best with no weight. But if you do need some add it in the middle with a nail weight it falls flat and really shines with a couple wiggles
Thank you for sharing this! I will have to give that a try.
I found perfect tubing/ straw. The device in the bunch of balloons. That hooks to the hose and fills the balloons. Has perfect size
I would have never thought of that. Thank you!
The straw off of a can of carb cleaner or wd40 works great too
@@kevinstocks6593 nice!
How about the inside of a BIC ballpoint pen?
Brilliant! Thank you
They need to make them pre-rigged hopefully one of these companies decides to do it
Lol. For sure. It takes forever to rig it up.

What would be like using a rag worm for flat fish?
Great question. I have not used one, but I would sure think the action would be similar. The flatter worm will definitely pull differently,, but probably worth a try.

6 inch mega senko's are the ticket

It does like like a giant larvae!
Steve how do you have time to film all this content, and underwater footage? You either don't have a job, or you have a really good job. Haha. Keep up the great vids 👍
Lol. It takes a lot of time for sure, but I'm blessed to get to work outdoors everyday.
Probably best to make them up and maybe put it on a swivel to be able to tie on quickly.
I agree. Definitely make them up ahead. The swivel is a great idea!
@@SteveRogersOutdoors well that way you just tie to the swivel and go. Well for me it would be I’m not good at tying line to line.
Hey Steve, I'm confused. Does the hook just free fall then? Is the hook itself actually.tied somewhere kn the line? If not will this effect my Hooksett and hook up ratio? How will.the hook penetrate and stay pinned if it isnt.tied on directly to my.line?

Another thing you could do is instead of a split ring, use another hook tied direct. Probably a better option. Great question by the way!
@@SteveRogersOutdoors thanks Steve!
I think you will get better action if you put the third straw much lower to the tail
I will have to try that. Thanks!
are you saying "Ino" rig?
I did. I said it wrong for some reason and didn't catch it until editing.
It has great action but I’ve put a couple together and it’s just too much messing around and time consuming. Also don’t like how the hook isn’t very direct. I’m sure it would work but just not excited about it.
Where/what is the "water column"? I don't see it. Do you just mean "water"?
Yes, just the water.
The Asian guy that came out with this is showing the different brands of worms it works good with
That's great! Thanks. I will check that out.

Looks like snag city
Definitely more open water, at least on a lot of the places I fish.
Indeed. Had two snags on just a few ties last weekend. Be careful where you fish this rig
I’m thinking of trying it with a bubble gum floating worm.
