Ebay has the authentication process that protects the seller and buyer. So you ship to the authenticator and the authenticator ships to the buyer. I think that cuts back on scammers.

Best video. Def. using Fashionphille instead of The Real Real.

The Real Real are truly the worst with their cold calls. I regret ever giving them my number. The only time I sold with them in the past, they put my item on sale without confirming with me, so the amount I received was considerably less then what I was quoted originally. I would have just preferred to keep the item for myself and was pretty upset.

I just ignore low ballers and silly questions on Poshmark.... my luxury items are always sold to someone who buy outright or offer within 10% of my listing. Also I don’t answer questions that be googled to avoid wasting time on nonserious buyers

One time I got an offer of $300 for a bag I never used and I listed it for $1500 which is several hundreds lower than the retail price... but I have also sold a new Chanel black rectangular mini for my original listed price of $4800... so I think it really depends - I definitely got lucky on the Chanel sale 😬🍀

Oh and this is regarding Poshmark 😝
But I have also used PayPal and added tracking number etc. and have FaceTimed the buyer haha

The $300 offer sounds like the type of offers I get all the time 🤦🏻‍♀️ Did you end up breaking even with the Chanel rectangular mini after the commission fees?

I sent my Louis Vuitton bag to Fasion Phile and it is brand new and never used with no damage. Retail price is $3500. They said my bag was fake because INSIDE there was one LITTLE sewing string was loose, which I would never even notice and I know nobody would care about. They said it was fake and it was 100% real. And they said they can mail it back to me for $75. So my account with them is -$75 and I don’t have my Louis Vuitton bag.

I have sold a few things using the real real. They always give me a price up front and everything has sold, but they take forever to list things and to get paid.

I’m a first timer looking to resell some of my designer bags that are practically brand new. Are you nervous sending your items to fashionphile or any other place? I am paranoid that they will receive it, switch it or tamper with it and then I am screwed. Any thoughts?

    • @CAROLCHANNELINGCHIC

I understand your concern. Make sure you only go with reputable companies instead of IG resellers for example for peace of mind - you mentioned Fashionphile specifically and they are trustworthy. You can always film yourself packing the items and handing the package off to UPS/Fedex so you have proof of you sending the right items as well as the condition of the items. I also think that either direct buyouts or consignment is safer than Poshmark for example where you send the item directly to the buyer when the item sells. Also if you live near a brick and mortar location of one of these resale companies, see if you can bring the items to them in person. I know Fashionphile offers this option and I believe they will also inspect the items on the spot and pay you right away too.

i am selling with them. they sell your stuff for a good price but take half of the sale. so if something sells for $180 you only get $99 its not worth it. they rob you. i feel so much regret and I'm pissed that they did this. i would never ever recommend selling with them ever

It’s crazy how much money these resale websites make off commission using other people’s property. They don’t even have to have their own inventory…a very lucrative business for sure.

  • @OnPointAlpha

ALL of these places are trash. The worst being REAL REAL. They quote you a price on your item, then they put your item on sale so quickly and once it sells for nothing, they take their cut! Honestly by the time they are done, you might as well have given your items as a donation and done a good deed for someone. The only way to sell your stuff is via ebay. Nothing else.
