i am selling with them. they sell your stuff for a good price but take half of the sale. so if something sells for $180 you only get $99 its not worth it. they rob you. i feel so much regret and I'm pissed that they did this. i would never ever recommend selling with them ever
😔 I’m so sorry to hear that dear. Have you ever tried selling on Poshmark? It’s only a 20% fee! (But you do it yourself). I really like using Poshmark so def recommend!
I’m so happy to see what’s selling for other people on TRR. I sent in my first box last month and already had over $1000 in sales and my payout will be over $400 in just the first week of selling. There’s still stuff processing though. Can’t wait to do a video.
I’m new to TRR & only making 30% of my designer items. It is very tough to swallow on the turnaround for high end quality designer stuff that I’m getting back for. Some I even want to cry truthfully. I’ve sold on eBay & the price point would have been higher but it does require some work. I don’t think there’s any win win here…
Thanks for letting me know this video was up, and for taking us through the process. Do you know how much your Kate Spade items made? Were they Kate bags?!
I'm so glad you found it helpful 😊! I sold one Kate Spade bag for $51 with TRR, and have sold some Kate Spade jewelry and other bags on Poshmark before (all usually less than $100). I also actually just shipped off a Kate Spade watch to TRR, so will try my best to remember to keep you posted on how much that that sells for!
I hate selling to TRR I will never sell to them again. They sold a Dolce and Gabbana skirt I sent them for $20 and gave me a $5 commission. I don't know how people make actual money with them. I would rather sell the things myself and make way more money.
Hello, I was the victim of their fraudulent business Ed’s practices and took them to NY State Supreme Court. They stole over 200k of luxury clothing from me: sold without a consignment agreement, lost or returned damaged/worn by The Real Real employees during the months they had them at their warehouse, for price quotes only, not resale. We are now considering a class action lawsuit and are seeking other victims to join us. You would not have to do anything but be a party to the lawsuit. The lawyers would do everything for us. I hope you will consider this. THEY NEED TO BE STOPPED & HELD ACCOUNTABLE. I am not active on social media and have no clout but most people are & we should start a movement.
Hi, do u know what percentage they will keep. I am trying to sell only 2 items. A Gucci handbag (brand new I just wanted a different version) and my old Hermés series 6 44mm Apple Watch.
Hey Josephine! Their commission rate depends on the price + category of the item, plus if you’ve sold anything in the past. Here’s the breakdown: www.therealreal.com/commission-chart I hope this is helpful for you!!
I should have met with a manager but at 30% under $99 I believe I can sell it better other than high end designer stuff that TRR could sell as they cater to these kind of stuff.
Yess totally agree! If I can sell it myself, then I go the Poshmark route instead so I can get the better commission percentage! 🤓🙃 But if it’s something harder to sell, then a resale site is prob the better route to go!
Always so good to hear from you, Krista! All of the Henri Bendel bags sold, which I was really happy about! 😊 And all of them fell somewhere in the $50-$100 price range. The only things that haven't sold yet were a blue Alice & Olivia draped top & some red Marc Jacobs shorts.
I have a few brands that are not in their list, but do come out on search. For example Ermenegildo Zegna. Do you just toss it in the same box with accepted brands? Or how do you pursue with this?thanks.
Hey there! So the reason you see other brands show up in the site/app search is because those are brands they used to accept (so they may still have inventory) but are no longer accepting new pieces. You could always try including them in the box and see if they take them, but it’s more likely that they’ll just send them back to you. Hope this is helpful!!
Unfortunately I don’t think they really take things with stains 😔 But you could always try sending it in and see if they accept it or ship it back to you?
Hey there! I don’t actually use an app-I have an iPhone and I do a screen recording (which ends up creating a video file), and then I add that video as an overlay on top of the main video 🤓 it’s really easy to do a screen recording, so just Google “how to record screen on iPhone” and some good articles with instructions will pop up 😊!
i'm thinking of selling on the real real, and was wondering if once you send your item to sell is it final? like is there anyway to get your item back if you don't like the price they listed it at
Yes you can always request it back and they'll send it back! But you have to assume the risk that sometimes it might sell like *right* when you all, so if that happens then they have to honor the sale.

🙌🏽 That’s amazing!!! So happy for you, Wendy!
How much are the fees?
How do you file tax on those selling
they took 60% of your money and you are happy?

😔😢 I know exactly how you feel, and I'm so sorry. It's so hard to justify parting with some of our designer things for such a low return!
Mercari authenticates and only takes 10% of your commission!
Yes this helped lot I sent this video to my mom haha she has lot of stuff haha so hopefully this gets her thinking making money.
Yess I hope it does too! Definitely a great way to make some cash!
Thank you for watching!! Have you sold with TRR before? Would love to hear your thoughts! 💛

😱 A D&G skirt for $20?! That's crazy!! And yes I totally agree that selling yourself is definitely a good approach to make more money, 100%.

Very informative info! I didn’t realize they accept brands like Henry Bendel. How did you do with those sales?

@@LilyShops That’s great! I’ve sold some HB and Coach bags on Poshmark and Mercari. I did ok but it’s definitely more work. 😉
It is so much work 😅 Whenever I post something on Poshmark, I'm reminded that I am the world's worst photographer 😂😂

Where did you get the dark wood sideboard from?? 👀
It’s from Wayfair from about 35 ago! I can’t remember the brand name, but it was about $1k (pricey for wayfair 😅😅!)
Will they accept something if it has a small stain?
Unfortunately I don’t think they really take things with stains 😔 But you could always try sending it in and see if they accept it or ship it back to you?
@@LilyShops update: i took 4 pairs of high priced designer sneakers to one of their store locations. i should make at least $1,100 from them total 🤝
Ahh that’s so exciting 🤑🤑🤑!
what app do you use to show the website while you make your video
Hey there! @@LilyShops thx’s !!!
I just came to hear someone’s experience with them but damn you’re beautiful
🥲🥰 Aw thank you so much! So sweet!
@@LilyShops No problem ❤️
w rizz
How much are they paying you to say this…?
😂😂 sadly, zero dollars! Maybe one day…? lol
