    Great video, i learn from the trash finds as well as the treasure finds, so thanks for showing it all. I got lucky yesterday and found my first Indian penny, a 1896. It was on a old road bed in the woods.

      Awesome, well welcome to the hobby! I'm sorry to hear your hunt wasn't amazing. 99% of mine aren't either. Lol. That's alright, the one day that it is amazing more than makes up for all the bad ones. Good luck to you and thanks for watching.

    What a beautiful beach and someday i'm going to detect at a beach like this one. It was sixty degrees here in Wisconsin and I was able to detect today, found lots of clad and one junk ring. If you want the ring you can have it, my wife don't want it Lol. Thank for sharing your video. HH !

      +Rob Plotts Thank you! Right!!?? I'm very excited about that and only 2 bottle caps. But I should have known better about 1 of them. 1 was a surface find and I picked it up anyways. The other one I actually dug. :/ Ah well. Oh I do! I always his videos too. His last one, where he fell in the river, I was in aww at how well he knows his machine. And his shovel is pretty nice! Yea, the ants are no fun. I kept checking while I was digging though. Thanks for watching!

    Another little tip would be when you're switching on your Garrett carrot (or any pinpointer) put the tip in the sand (or dirt or wherever you are pinpointing) and then switch it on, it is kinda like ground balancing.
    Good hunting and have fun!

    Hi She-Detector, looks like your friends tips were invaluable, he'll save you loads of time in the long run in the identification side of things and it already shows, next you'll start to see yourself honing those skills into getting more and more coins. But for a while, because you have mastered not to dig everything, you may find you will need to be patient with the swinging until you find the areas of the beach where it's most likely to find the stuff you want. areas I would try to identify are near the tideline where the sand layer isn't as thick, anywhere you see black sand (if that's possible on that beach), after a windy storm and you've already identified areas near showers and kids play zones where a lot of traffic would be. I look forward to you getting more and more interesting finds for yourself, just try and get out the habit of looking for stuff with your bare hand, you don't want to learn the hard way, why you shouldn't, but instead maybe leave the scoop at home on that kind of soft sand beach and get one of those hand held scoops, your finds will be found a lot quicker and safer. Keep up the great vids She, GL+HH

      +Alex Eaton Hi! Yea, I think so too! I'm getting better with the F19 for sure! Yea, I think you're right about that. I'll have to figure out the best places to hunt. I'll try checking those areas on my next hunt. Thanks for the tips! Yea, that's something I do need to work on. Used band aids and pokey things are not cool! :{ Yea, I've thought about getting a handheld scoop, smaller and easier to maneuver. I'll need one for hunting underwater I think. Not sure yet... Thanks! And thanks for watching! HH to you as well!

    I no longer hit Clearwater Beach particularly because it's frequented by at least three other detectorists on a daily bases.Last weekend I searched Indian Rocks beach and found a kinetic Seiko watch that to my surprise still functions.I also found an iPhone 5 that appeared to be in the water for quite some time.My video's will be coming soon and thanks for another awesome video SheDetector!

      +David Crews Yea, makes sense. Someone told me he hunts it at night so there's always someone hunting it I think. Oh awesome! Good for you on the watch find. I look forward to checking out your videos. Since you're in this area, you might be interested to know there's going to be a gathering of a few hunters on May 6th. I don't have the specifics yet but you're welcome to come. I'll be there, Ron DeGheto, Phil Myers, and a few other UA-camrs too.

      Why did you change metal detectors?The Garrett sea hunter Mark ll is a superb detector and it works on pulse induction.Was there a particular reason for the change?

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      David Crews I still have my Sea Hunter but I was contacted by First Texas Products. They make Teknetics, Fisher, and Bounty hunter. They asked if I'd be interested in showing off their F19 in Pink Camo. So of course I jumped at that chance. I'd never used a VLF before so I was really excited to try. But once the water warms back up, I'll be going back to my Sea Hunter and doing lots of underwater hunts. :)

    It was nice of your fellow detectorist to take you under the wing and guide you a bit there. Did he have any better luck finds-wise on the day? I think my favorite find was the can with the *Hug* written on it - like the universe is saying sorry for you not finding any gold yet but to keep your spirits up! That ground looked rather at the end looked rather hard to dig in, might need to use a bigger spade sometimes that you can use your foot on maybe? Thanks for sharing another excellent video :)

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому +2

      +Simon Burton Yea! I learned some things for sure. :) No, he found a few coins also but not many...unless he was holding out on me. Lol. Hey, that's a great way to look at it! THe universe was sad for my sorry finds. :) Oh it sure was! We hadn't had any rain for a while so the ground was dried up on the top. The dirt underneath wasn't to terrible though. Yea, I'll be looking at some different ones that I can step on. That will help out a lot I'm sure. Thanks for watching!

    I like the attitude on the trash! I'll be in Fort Myers April 10th for that week. If your going to be in the area let me know. From Wisconsin but usually come there once a year. If you press the button on the pinpointer while its beeping on the target it'll recalibrate and you'll have to move it closer to the target to get it to beep again giving you a closer pinpoint each time you press the button. Practice on a quarter once at home to see what I mean. And you can turn it to vibrate only should you not want to bother people with that either? Great video!

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      +Dirt Fever Hahaha, I have to try to stay positive! :) Oh very cool. Well I don't know that I'll make it that far south but in the event I do, I'll definitely let you know! That's nice that you're able to come down once a year. Thanks for the advice, I'll do that on my next hunt. :) Yea, I was thinking about that while I was on the play ground. It was really loud because the ocean wasn't close enough to drown out the noise. Thank you for watching!

    I found useful to set the Garrett Pro Pointer at level 3 of sensibility when seeking on grass before digging. At level 1 or 2 hardly detects anything. After digging I set it back to 1 or 2.

    As always, enjoy watching your videos! Might I make a suggestion? I hunt a lot of sidewalk strips. The strip of grass between the sidewalk and curb in the old parts of towns. I have done well lately with numerous wheat cents, silver dimes (4), two rings and many modern coins found. 2 old store tokens have also come my way. Keep in mind some of these targets can be quite deep, 5-7 inches. Just thought you might want to give it a try using "Squeaker"! HH from Palm Coast!

    Very good video She Detector!! By the looks of your finds... yep you have the Fisher detector set up right in this video for finding the high conductive target items. That setting is were the jewelry, gold and coins will be on the Fisher.
    Now it's time to dial in your your hunting strategy and to RESEARCH some locations to find those lost valuables in your area. MAYBE try to detect where large amounts of tourist have been on the beach or after festival events or sports fields. Also, you might try searching around the grass and the shallow water near the pricey marinas.
    I'm certain you will find great lost treasure in your area now..that you feel comfortable with the machine...Keep the videos coming ... Happy Hunting!

    She Detector-- The cross hair button under the menu button is for pinpointing. You need to take a quarter with you the next time you go to the beach and find a spot with no metal. Push the quarter down in the sand. Then swing your coil over it till you get a idea where the signal at. Then move your coil over to the right or left away from signal. Hold the pinpoint button down and move back towards the signal. Where it gets the loudest is the center where you target is. It's also good to move it away from you and back till it loud. It should also tell you how deep the target is. When you think you have it. Set your coil down against the sand and leave an inprint in the sand. This way you can get an idea where the center of your coil is. YOu might leave another inprint next to that one incase you destroy the first.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      +Ron E Thanks for the advice on the pin pointing. Thinking about it, I didn't use it at all during this hunt. I'll try to remember to use it next time though. :D Thanks for the tips on using it! And thank you for watching!

    What a beautiful beach, there's gotta be gold hiding there. I'd look for a smaller hand scoop for the dry sand. That grass sucked way to tough! Have you ever hunted school sports fields and sidelines, I have the best finds there. Another great video ,keep it up gold is close!

      +TheCleanist Oh I'm sure there is but there are so many hunters I'm sure everyone else found it already! :( Yea, I've thought about getting something with bigger holes for the dry stuff. Consider a Minelab Safari. This is a great beach detector. works great in wet sand and water... but don't get the control box wet. Work the wet sand..Pick a 50 yard area and sig sag back and forth between the tide lines. You will find Rings.

    Wow, so many comments for you to decipher. Beach hunting is way different than field hunting huh? It's great to see you do both. Kinda hard to cut a plug with a 45 degree towel. Really nice of the guy to give it to you though. It's all live and learn. Gotta give up on paying attention to those jumpy signals, you've learned already they are garbage. Stick to close to solid numbers. and bla,bla,bla. It's just about time for it all to start clicking. Then watch out, that jar will fill up quick.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      +GameofTones Hahaha, yep sure is. :) Yes it sure is. Sometimes I think beach hunting is easier because the sand is softer to get through and your hole fill ins don't have to be perfect! +CRF 2012 Hi there! Yea, I'm enjoying it so far. It's nice not having to dig EVERYTHING! Yes the display is nice. I was really trying to not rely on the display but with the headphones on, it's a lot harder to hear the difference in the sounds. Yea, I'm right there with you. I'll be hunting strictly with the Sea Hunter in the water once it warms back up so I'll be back to digging everything. At least I know I wont miss something good if I dig everything! Thanks! Lol

    The one thing you dont do is stock your hand into sand blind. Buy a €10 plastic gardening trowel so you can use your pointer with it and keep your hands clear of the sand. Love your videos!!

    Your doing Great, it take time to learn the machine. If you want the good stuff you have to dig the trash also. Gold items can fall in the foil to almost zinc penny range. Keep hunting and you will find the good stuff.

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому

      +Ronald Dvorak (CoinHunter2) Thank you! Yea, lots of trash before the good stuff. So I'll need to back my discrimination down some. I think my foil range starts at 43. I'll have to check the book again. But I think foil will bounce around while the gold wont. Not sure, I've not found any gold yet. Lol.

    On my AT Pro I discriminate at 35, gold rings in the high 40's to mid 50's. Does yours ring higher on gold or are possibly discriminating some out? Great vids and happy hunting. I too was able to get out this weekend in Wisconsin on a local swim beach( the only thawed ground) and only pull tads, can slaw and bottle caps but it was nice to finally get out!!!!

    hi I like your videos ive watched them all . so I have a metal detector Garret AT Gold and I have found 49 pices of gold and 33 of sliver. I think that with your fisher detector your going to have succsess.its just that I think u need to practice the marks of the silver and gold and the coin marks .u also have to see the mark of trash with your descriminator so u don't have to make holes without succsess.congrats and keep moving forward.

    I'm grateful to you for making these videos, I totally enjoy watching them. I'm amazed that Florida beaches aren't more lucrative. I've searched a small section of beach in Maryland, maybe 3 to 4 hours total and walked out with a few dollars in coins. I still haven't found any jewelry though.. :(
    I'd think the folks in Florida would be much richer and loosing more than coins.

    We talked about this before... with your discrimination way up to 49 you are going to miss the pull tabs, which I am sure why he had you set it up that high on the beach, but you are also going to miss some gold. I never run my machine with the discrim above 35. I can still pick and choose if I want to dig those lower targets if I like the way they sound, but at least I have the choice to and the machine is not completely ignoring them on me.... gold on that machine will be between 45 and up to 60. Iron will still be lower than 35 for the most part ....

    • @SheDetector
      @SheDetector  8 років тому +1

      +Uncle Jeff's World Oh really? I was hoping it was still low enough to pick them up. :/ I do plan on lowering it on my next hunt though. I don't want to miss the good stuff. That's a good idea to still pick them up but chose not to dig them. Oh ok. That's one thing I don't like. In the manual they list where common items will ring up but it doesn't list gold at all. :( Foil starts around 43 I think. I'll set it at 35 next time. Thanks! And thanks for watching!

    • @thephantom39
      @thephantom39 8 років тому +1

      Yes unfortunately both foil and pull tabs will ring up the same as gold, So if your not digging up foil and pull tabs you will hardly ever find gold

Never have tried my G2 in wet salt sand but my AT Pro does really good n depth is good, not like my excal but good enough. Found girl's small 10k ring last week in knee deep water. That's some tuff turf ya got there She. Better get a Piranha and some boots to stomp it in with. You can wear boots/hikers and shorts together, I've seen it lots on construction sites and done it myself when blazing hot out, lol, who cares what gawkers think anyway?... Took my Piranha out and dug a plug in the front yard, was damp and it went in like cutting butter, no frost a foot down. I'm charging batteries and getting ready for a hunt with the boy and grands tomorrow. Talked to the local DNR officer and it's OK to hunt some game management land right on a small river here, a small sand beach and some woods, the water will be ice cold but I can stick the Ace 250 coil and the Carrot in just for grins. There are actually LOTS of woods there but with the grands along we will stay within decent distance from the vehicle... Was that Snoopy I saw? Give him a pat on the head from me. Keep after it, yer doin OK!

      +She Detector LOL, well good, we got a real woman here not some cosmetics slathered prima donna!.. Far as I know the Piranha is still the most aggressive detecting shovel, IMO it can cut the balls off a charging rhino at 100 paces! (borrowed that line from Ted Nugent)... We found some very nice pieces of rusty barbed wire, 9MM brass pistol casings, a fish hook, 1/2 of a rusted pail, two red plastic forks, and the 6 year old boy's brand new folding shovel after he buried it in the sand. Oh, and my son fount a steel belted tire high up the bank buried deep, no doubt deposited by a long past flood. The Piranha worked great in the dirt and ok on the sand and gravel beach too. My GD liked using the pin pointer to locate my/our finds and I was happy to stand there and not have to kneel all the time. I spent some of the time just watching when the kids were throwing rocks in the river and telling them when they were too close to the ice cold water. I told them I should have got them a bag of rocks instead of detectors, they didn't seem to care and kept right on. Both little ones carried their own gear both ways the 100+ yards through sand trail, the woods, and up a hill back to the car, Grampa was duly impressed!.. Drooling is hard work, better give Snoopy a treat and a bowl of water to replace the fluids! :D

    The Beach is hard sweet, too hard and non productive in my honest opinion. Side walks, parks

      +flash more Yea, Clearwater is hit hard so I'm not to surprised I didn't find much. I'll have to try the sidewalk areas. Thanks! And thanks for watching!

    Hey kiddo your videos are great I like watching them but you are making me tired watching work so hard. Your new digger is better than the garden tool but its to blunt like I pointed out before the Lesche digger is the best but if you have your husband cut a higher angle point on the digger you have and sharpen a cutting edge on the pointed end it will cut through grass and small roots a lot easer. I cant wait for you to find something great. The weekend before last I made a trip to the beach and dug some cool stuff the best being a 14K Figaro bracelet worth about $800.00 and a silver earing. another cool find was a New York transit token made from 1953 to 1969 strange find for a Calif. beach. Last week end at the lake I dug a 14K woman's ring and a large 14K pendant. It just shows the good stuff is out there you just have to pay your dues and put in the time and you will be successful. All of these targets were a bit sketchy on the tone but I dug them any way and they paid off. Best of luck on your hunting.

      +Steve Stonacek Thank you! Yea, I had my husband sharpen up the tip which should help a ton with cutting the roots. I'll also be looking at some different shovels that I can step on. That will help a lot too. Wow! $800?? That's awesome!! Yep, it's out there somewhere that's for sure. I'll swing over it one day. :D See, and that's kind of my deal, the tones don't ever seem to be completely stable while in the water but it's a bit easier on land. Thanks for watching!
