Metal detecting is my full time job since 2020 and i really love it but i hate beaches with lots of trash and other stuff hope you find the best stuff out there
You need to tell your fellow Florida's to go swimming with pockets full of change lol. But honestly thays pretty good not finding a ton of trash. You just need a more active beach to detect. Preferably where the rich people go lol ,they tend to just have more and be more careless. Stay safe . I might be down your way this yr . My daughter turns 8 this yr and Disney is on the list.
I just checked the water temperature in Lake Michigan is 57.4 if you’d like to come up and do some snorkeling ! He. He !!! Even so there’s been people in swimming ! I guess water temps under 59 deg. can cause hypothermia. What kind were the larger fish with the vertical stripes ? Loved the blue swimsuit ! My favorite color also and are those the Aleader shoes and how do you like them ?
If you can find a naturally forming gully / divot / ditch like area in the water that runs parallel with the beach, that is a good place to search, heavy items are moved and deposited there by the wave action.

Hey that’s the reality of detecting I respect that, not like those channels that find safes every week in their hunts.
I’d recommend a good pair of dive gloves to prevent you getting stuck by a rusty nail. Otherwise, love the underwater hunt. More, please!
I have never done snorkel metal detecting definitely something I want to do one day especially with summer creeping up
