  • Hey guys! In this week's video I hit Clearwater Beach SUPER early and did some night time metal detecting. Because it was so early I was pretty much the only person out there. It was cool but also a little scary. I hunted for about 3.5 hours and found a bunch of targets. Enjoy!!

One reason I love your channel is your real ...unlike 90% that has at least one big find every single time they go out...I've been detecting for 40yrs and haven't found as much as the 90% of the phoney youtubers ...thanks for keeping it real

Been using the Nokta Makro PulseDive and it's been a magnificent pointer. My detector is a Minelab 705, bit old school these days, but when it finds foil the PulseDive ignores it, can be frustrating, particularly in areas of high concentration when you think you have something. The PulseDive though is great for finding those deep coins. I have it set to the highest sensitivity setting to know there is something in the hole and then dig further while dropping the sensitivity down to 2 or 3. The target usually comes ups. Great machine!

I'm really enjoying the Pulse Dive also! I've not noticed it ignoring foil but I don't think I've had to use it to find foil just yet. :) Normally my foil finds are big enough that I can see it and don't need to pin point for it. Hahaha!

@@SheDetectorMmm yes, it's mainly the chewing gum or cigarette paper stuff that it won't look at. I'm in New Zealand which had it's first westerners settle between 1830 - 1840... we're babies in terms of coins/relics. People here do find british gold sovereigns. I noticed you gave up on that very deep target in the sand, what do you think it was? Best and deepest dig was up to the middle of my forearm... the PulseDive certsinly had something. Got it out and was a copper pipe. An elderly friend of mine looked it and said it was a part of an antique toilet roll holder lol. The things we find. Enjoy your videos and was part of my inspiration to detect and dig. Thank you.

Hey we missed ya' .. looks like no jewelry at the beach right now.. I had to try a few beaches to get anything, some just produce way to many pop tops and caps. I'm learning the crown bottlecaps though, the give an iron sound on the edges of the coil. GL and HH !

I think the large spring you found might have been part of a rod holder for beach fishing. Not sure, though.

Like everyone else I was wondering when we would see ya again. But life happens, and your state has been having more than it’s share of nasty weather. Good to see a new post though! The finds were similar to my regular hunt days here in sunny SoCal beaches.

As usual, really enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing. Does hubby go out with you and watch your back when you go out like this? He should. Never know what or who lurks on the deserted dark beaches. LOL Keep the videos coming.

My bet would be a can. My LS hits cans at about 3 ft, kind of ridiculous. But that's what PI machines will do.

I'm thinking about getting a scoop. Your link is broken, but they have the same at White's. Lot of similar European scoops on eBay, but they are a thinner gauge metal. What did you use for a handle?
Anyhow, thanks for the video and hope to be doing the same thing on the east side of the state in a month or so 👍.

      Wreckdiver59
The whites scoop is the same as the Sito scoop only with the White logo. They’re very rugged and of high quality. Purchase a long shovel handle from Menards, Lowe’s or similar store in wood or fiberglass. You can buy carbon fiber ones from the metal detector stores but they are very pricey. You will find it’s difficult to get the handle to fit on the scoop because of the weld flash on the inside. You can try to file or grind it out with a Dremel style tool and you may have to grind a groove or two into the handle to clear the weld flash and may have to sand down the diameter of the handle a tad and then drive it on with a rubber mallet. Also I’d recommend purchasing a Raptor handle such as She Detector has on her scoop. They make digging so much easier. They’re about $14.95 at the metal detector dealers. I hope this is helpful. Dave

Sorry about that! I went in and updated it. See if this one works for you: ebay.us/cboFy3?cmpnId=5338273189
But you're correct, Sito does make scoops for Whites as well. Their's just has the Whites logo cut into the scoop. For the handle, I just used a wooded shovel replacement handle. You can pick one up at Lowes, Home Depot, Ace Hardware, etc. Pretty much any lawn and garden center. :) Thanks for watching!!
