I just feel like even when women that are trying to tell their story of what happened to them, it can be hard especially when you know who you're dealing with. But I was terrified as to what would’ve happened if there wasn’t any proof, i am 18 Edit: for context, and for all of these situations zero flirting happened, the first time was a girl known by the police station to make false reports and I was the 6th time technically seventh because it was the second time she did it to me. The second time was a girl who popped by my place of work that I knew from school and tried to make small talk with but evidently took it as something else and then forgot she did it. The third I can’t even explain because it doesn’t make any sense and she was just nuts
The cold hard fact is that about 50% of accusations are false. There needs to be serious legal consequences for anyone making a false claim. It isn't fair for the accused and it isn't fair for the people who have legitimate claims since it's basically a coin flip if anyone will believe them.

I was still convicted on hearsay, because I couldn't prove I was innocent. When my parents split, my father had just received an inheritance, which my mother took in full. This guy obviously had the money to pay her off, and Johnny Depp had the resources for a legal campaign, but very few men have that sort of money. I'm going through this crap now even though the incident is mostly on video. It only took one man-hating cop being in charge of the case for that video to be seized, hidden, and not even the courts will compel them to turn it over. That cop told me to my face she knows it is all BS, but that was not recorded. Maybe it will all come out eventually, but my life is already over. Job, house, savings - all gone. Not half - all. The problem here is that the system has allowed this type of allegation to be made and social media has exacerbated the issue, even with 0 proof, and there are exactly the same amount of consequences for filing false claims. A man can be arrested, tried, and convicted simply on a woman's word, and the burden of proof of innocence falls on the accused. In all honesty, if someone falsely accuses another person of a sex crime, they should face the same legal repercussions as the accused would face if they were convicted of that same crime they were accused of.

I literally got accused because I touched a female classmate’s foot on a Bus, *When I was sleeping.* Context: We were on a school trip and I had a two-seater row by myself because no one wanted to sit next to me. I’m a tall and large guy with large legs and even though I had two seats there was barely any leg room and I had to stretch it out the side since it was a 8 hour long bus drive. Eventually I fell asleep and SUPPOSEDLY unintentionally touched a female’s leg who was sitting in the row in front of me, with my own foot. Didn’t even touch her with my hands, it was my damn FOOT. A few days AFTER we got back from the trip, I was told about this and I was left thinking “Wtf??” Even my teachers were flabbergasted by this, and no one was punished, but it’s still filed on my record…
Similar situation with me. During a fire drill, in a school with over 1200 students, my elbow brushed a girl's chest in the literally shoulder to shoulder crowd. I got suspended for a week, and that was put in my file.

Her slanderous lie led to a comment section full of women I didn't know or ever speak to calling me some of the worst things imaginable. It became so bad that I was even called by a police officer after being tipped off that I was a "predator who was a danger to children". She was 21 and I was 23 when we knew one another. After hearing the actual story, he closed the inquiry, but it still rattles me to this day. To this day, countless women think I'm some kind of dangerous monster to women, despite the fact I've been married for years. If I tried to post evidence of her lies in the form of our chat/call logs, the group would have eaten me alive. All I could do was wait for the fire to flicker out. I use to go out to do things in social settings, but now I hardly want to leave my home and don't trust any woman other than my wife, family members, and long-standing friends. Even after a year of therapy, I'm still a wreck.

How would the public have reacted to that accusation? I bet they would be sharpening their pitchforks for her.. there would be an investigation into her, etc. This is exactly what it would be like for a guy who is falsely accused.

And another thought I just had. This is a 100% reason why the 'court of public opinion' (People being 'convinced' of someone's guilt just because someone said so.) Has no place in the Justice system. We've had both guilty getting away with things, and innocents being jailed with things that they either did, or did not, whatever the case may be. When the public puts too much pressure on law enforcement to just throw a half-cocked case together, and fail to prove anything beyond a reasonable doubt, the public gets more angry over it...
What they don't realize.. Is that the outcome is largely *THEIR FAULT*. Is the justice system perfect? Hell no. But I CAN tell you that when the public forces a case to be done before it can be properly investigated, we'll see a lot more guilty on the streets than innocent.

When my parents split, my father had just received an inheritance, which my mother took in full. This guy obviously had the money to pay her off, and Johnny Depp had the resources for a legal campaign, but very few men have that sort of money. I'm going through this crap now even though the incident is mostly on video. It only took one man-hating cop being in charge of the case for that video to be seized, hidden, and not even the courts will compel them to turn it over. That cop told me to my face she knows it is all BS, but that was not recorded. Maybe it will all come out eventually, but my life is already over. Job, house, savings - all gone. Not half - all. I don't think I'll last long enough to see it through.

I've been falsely accused of stalking my crazy ex everyday. I'm mostly be online with my friends everyday so no idea why she accusing me of that. 😂 My friends got my back knowing I'm with them everyday.
The problem here is that the system has allowed this type of allegation to be made and social media has exacerbated the issue, even with 0 proof, and there are exactly the same amount of consequences for filing false claims. A man can be arrested, tried, and convicted simply on a woman's word, and the burden of proof of innocence falls on the accused.
In all honesty, if someone falsely accuses another person of a sex crime, they should face the same legal repercussions as the accused would face if they were convicted of that same crime they were accused of.

Another year for the holidays I’m spending alone. Spent the last 4 holidays alone and it is going to be year 5 of thanksgiving and Christmas spent alone. My girlfriend is ditching me for some guy friend when she already said she wasn’t going and going to spend the day with me while I drive her to her family to spend time with her family and my mom is going somewhere and of course as always I’m never invited to anything.

Context: We were on a school trip and I had a two-seater row by myself because no one wanted to sit next to me. I’m a tall and large guy with large legs and even though I had two seats there was barely any leg room and I had to stretch it out the side since it was a 8 hour long bus drive. Eventually I fell asleep and SUPPOSEDLY unintentionally touched a female’s leg who was sitting in the row in front of me, with my own foot. Didn’t even touch her with my hands, it was my damn FOOT. A few days AFTER we got back from the trip, I was told about this and I was left thinking “Wtf??”
Even my teachers were flabbergasted by this, and no one was punished, but it’s still filed on my record…

Similar situation with me. During a fire drill, in a school with over 1200 students, my elbow brushed a girl's chest in the literally shoulder to shoulder crowd. I got suspended for a week, and that was put in my file.

I have been married happily for years, but a year ago a woman I was involved with several years ago decided to take forth a false accusation against me that have ruined who I am and made me a nervous wreck. She cheated on her boyfriend with me, who I had no idea existed, and when she nearly got caught, she threw me under the bus. Despite us being practically the same age, with her only having been two years younger at the time, and me in no position of power or authority, she claimed that I "groomed" her and said I was a "predator" and a "monster" before telling a local social media group with tens of thousands of women in my city that I was a "violent rapist". The reality was she made the first move on me and made all the first advances. Her slanderous lie led to a comment section full of women I didn't know or ever speak to calling me some of the worst things imaginable. It became so bad that I was even called by a police officer after being tipped off that I was a "predator who was a danger to children". She was 21 and I was 23 when we knew one another. After hearing the actual story, he closed the inquiry, but it still rattles me to this day. To this day, countless women think I'm some kind of dangerous monster to women, despite the fact I've been married for years. If I tried to post evidence of her lies in the form of our chat/call logs, the group would have eaten me alive. All I could do was wait for the fire to flicker out.
I use to go out to do things in social settings, but now I hardly want to leave my home and don't trust any woman other than my wife, family members, and long-standing friends. Even after a year of therapy, I'm still a wreck.
