The most informative video on the Korean Ent. biz. Much appreciated. As someone in the entertainment biz for over 40 years in front and behind the camera and now back on camera. I want to experience South Korea. Many thanks.

It's nice how straightforward and honest you are! It seems that many have the dream of moving to Korea and becoming entertainers/models/etc just like that, so it's great to have this kind of honest material online. But this also made me curious, do random people contact you often and ask for you to recommend them despite them being strangers? Edit. Goshiwon can be as low as like 280,000w, that's at least what I paid for mine. But it was really small and kinda moldy too lol

Hello, just wanna say that any agencies should NOT ask you for any money if they sponsors you. The models doesn’t pay anything for the agency ! all the process is from the agency.
Sometimes they can ask you about 2500 or 3000 for visa then it’s totally illegal.
So girls if agency ask you to pay money like that just find another agency, it’s already a bad starting. 😊

Awesome video Chen thanks for making these. I was curious about something and I wanted to ask you this, the part where you talked about the agencies not really doing anything to help you find work. Is that mainly foreign entertainers who go through that or is it the same dilemma for the Korean entertainers as well?

It seems like most of this is for legitimate consistently stable jobs like modeling, singing, acting, etc. so I am interested to know what differs for someone who is just a social media influencer. Do you need an agency to sponsor your UA-cam channel? Since Influencers make all of their money from social media or promotions for companies, it's not as much searching for jobs and more like talking with brands to advertise for them. I'm just curious how it would differ for specifically only online influencer career paths.
