What inspires me the most about acting is the bond of each and every cast in a show. And it's basically my first reason to be an actor in the future. I'm a Civil Engineering student right now, but everytime I watch a good movie or a series, I always imagine afterwards what if i'm the one in there.
My favorite part of being an actor is just hanging out with other actors; whether it's at a rehearsal or during a performance; or between takes or at a wrap party, those people become your family. I have actor friends that I'm closer with than my own family.

@@ryderthegamer4935 I think if it’s a passion of Your’s you should try. At least for a year or two and see if you can get some ground work going. Check out your local colleges and universities - they may have student films going on. Or see if there another city close by with opportunities or work from home work that you can apply to. I would probably recommend still doing Tennis if it’s also something you love, but make time for acting too. You never know. Sometimes all it takes is a single opportunity you never expected to turn out to be something big!
I want to be an actor because I want to escape they small town and mind space I live in. I’m an imaginative person, often I get distracted because I act out scenarios in my head and that annoys me that I’m not spending enough time in the real world but it’s my way of escaping and the only time I don’t zone out is when I’m focusing on acting like when I do stage school. I want to get the most out of life and experience everything I can. I wanted to start acting when I watched Annie (the first version) I fell in love with how these actresses went from completely different lives and fell into the same story line. My wildest dream is to be in the umbrella academy on Netflix, I wouldn’t care if I was a background character that just walked past or I became an important asset. I have a college interview coming up next month for Acting and performance. I have NEVER done anything to do with acting (mainly because my schools drama teacher left when I joined so I never got to do anything) now I have this interview and I am so excited for it. I work at Universal Studios and every day I come into contact with anywhere from 6,000 to 40,000 people every day; most of them are wearing T-shirts from their favorite movie or TV show when they arrive and that's exactly how I found out about Stranger Things. I'd never even heard of the show but saw thousands of people wearing shirts with stuff like "Friends don't lie" (etc) that I started to watch the show. I got hooked. And now my goal is to get booked.

I signed with Luxe Talent Agency about a year ago and will be renewing my contract with them within the next few weeks. The most important casting sites (if you're an actor living in LA) are actors access, LA Casting and Casting Frontier. I trained at Playhouse West which was started by Jeff Goldblum (my teachers teacher) and Robert Carnegie. James Franco was also in Jeff's class with my teacher and teaches a class of his own but not at Playhouse West. Had my first supporting role in a feature film about four years ago; have had three lead roles on nationally syndicated TV shows (as a day player, not a regular) but I do a bit of everything - TV, film, theater, industrial, print, voice work, commercial and I teach a free acting class for disabled veterans at the Sepulveda VA.

Why I wanna be an actor: I’m a person who easily get bored with reality, and the possibilities it offers, so being able to kinda “live” in other realities, designed to be interesting seems amazing. Plus all the small challenges you have to face on set seems to make every day different.
I’ve always thought I was good with coming up with different type of scenarios in my head and acting them out. But I’ve never thought I’d become one because I’m very shy. Probably too late but my answers to the question are 1. I want to be an actor because I think it would be fun to try many different roles and such and work with everyone and at first I would casually watch movies and shows and play video games and watch any animations with voice acting then as I watched more, I wanted to try acting more and more and I already have some experience as a scare actor at a haunted house from the 2018-2023 seasons. 2. I want to be an actor because of the performances that have helped shaped and inspire me. I am a military veteran who had a difficult time processing certain traumas. Performances like those seen in the 2017 film Thank You for Your Service really hit home for me. If I was touched by their performances, I would like to be able to help others learn how to feel that connection so they can understand they aren't alone. The Marvel films or series would absolutely be a goal of mine. Moon Knight was a series that was close to my own personal experiences in the past, minus the Egyptian deity part.

I have been an extra in a couple movies. One was when I was 9 years old, and another was when I was a senior in high school. I wanted to be famous actor when I was younger, but I thought I'd never be one. But I want to be an actor and create things for people to have an escape from live, to change people's life's. I know a bunch of tv shows and movies, people use them as a get away from the real world. I do it as well. I want to be able to become a producer and create movies, tv shows to show real life struggles and show that no one is alone and everyone on this earth has a purpose in meaning in live. I also love creating fiction things too; just to create a whole new world for people to diverge into. When they filmed the movie Men, Women and Children at my high school it was amazing experience. Most of everyone in the senior class were extras, But I remember I would skip class a few times just to watch all the behind-the-scenes stuff going on and watch them film. I wasn't supposed to be where I was but I found all that stuff interesting. I would love to be an actor or even part of a crew to make lifelong friends and help create new things all the time.

When I was around 12-13 I joined a drama club and immediately fell in love with the beautiful art of acting. When you’re on stage nothing else matters accept the acting and it feels so incredibly natural to me. It just feels right. I want to be an actor because I have a natural gift for acting and I don’t want to waste it. I want to act in everything, from small voice acting roles in a video game to a huge box office hit, I just love acting.
1. I love the idea of being able to be someone else for a moment. Learn what different people go through, how different people think and act. It’s an amazing feeling to be able to step out of your own body for a second. Being an ensemble in elementary school inspired me to become an actor, the feeling of being in the spotlight was amazing.
When I look at an actor, I don’t just see a person. I see someone important. Someone who’s true to themselves, who then expresses it with no shame of being themselves.

well i want to be an actor to put a smile on peoples faces when their having a bad day. when i watch my fav movies/ tv shows, just one line from my fav character can lift my mood completely! ive always been a generous type and it would make me feel like im living for something, for a purpose. when i was younger i suffered with a stutter, it was draining. why was it that the most outgoing, bubbly girl was being held back by a stupid speech impediment? why me. all my life people have told me to go for something 'more in your reach' but no matter how many times ive been disheartened i remember what it was like not having control over my stutter and i become strong again. ive wanted to be an actor, perform, but i was struggling with confidence and resiliance and suffering serious anxiety. after 7 years of speech therapy i feel like there is something to live for finally. my dad always told me not to let my stutter control me, never to let it win. so since then ive been working my a$$ off to beat it. maybe i can achieve my dream.

I also love watching behind the scenes footage as well as outtakes and bloopers! Yes, if you don't have any classes in your area, definitely look for online classes. One of the silver linings of this pandemic is that many of the great acting schools are now offering online classes. There is still no substitute for in-person learning though so whenever you do have the opportunity to go to a live class, take advantage of it.

I don't quite remember what made me want to be an actress but I know that I have been wanting to be an actor since I was 5yrs old but as I grew up I began to love acting more and more and I get inspired in every movie I watch I just somehow find a character that I can portray and try to put myself into there shoes
2. One of my acting goals is to be able to play a wide range of characters/genres. I don't often see roles for people like me on screen, let alone in stories that I am interested in. So for me, a goal is range and diversity and being able to say 'I have an acting career'. I want to be able to work with directors and actors on (mostly) films and TVs that I admire.
As a kid. My home was always dysfunctional. Except when the tv was on. With the right movie you’d never notice the holes painting the 2nd floor walls. Even if it was just 2 hrs,seeing my family all come together and laugh was the best. As an actor or filmmaker I can share that same joy with the world.
If it’s your dream you have to go for it! No one can tell you you can’t. Even if it’s just reciting lines and performing monologues for friends at least you will be performing. I wish you the best of luck. Just find a few monologues and try reading them with different emotions and just have fun with it! That’s the joy of acting.
What country do you live in? If you're in Los Angeles there are tons of schools; some with reasonable prices and some that are ridiculously over-priced. Other states / cities / countries, I don't know about. But if you're really committed to being an actor then you need to be willing to relocate to an area where you can find a good school which you can afford. One of the best acting schools in LA only costs $250 per month; others you have to pay $25,000 up front. If you really want to achieve something you'll find a way - if you don't really want it, you'll find an excuse and that's the difference between the winners and the losers. Winners will always find a solution to every problem; losers will always manage to find a problem with every solution. If you really want to be an actor just do it. I didn't have any training at all when I first started acting and was able to get booked in a supporting role in a feature film; lead roles in theater and a few nationally syndicated TV shows. It wasn't until after I had my first supporting role that I started taking classes. Start now; take classes later. And don't over think it, act first; think later. That's what they'll teach you in acting classes anyway - get out of your head; get into the scene. Stop thinking; start doing. Read books like "On Acting" by Sanford Meisner & watch videos on UA-cam - if you can find "Theaters Best Kept Secret" it's worth watching. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other; you'll get there. And once you get here, don't get discouraged if you don't get invited to audition for every role you submit to. Don't get discouraged if you don't get cast in every role you DO audition for. Rejection is just part of the job you have to get used to and get past it. Even if you get rejected 80% of the time - that just means you have to get through that 80% in order to get to the 20% that's going to pay off. For any role you submit to you might be competing with 300 to 3,000 other actors. It's a numbers game.

My life has never been fulfilling to me I've always wanted more and so being able to live so many lives through the characters you play as an actor has always been very appealing to me and I enjoy doing it and the rush it gives me to step out of my comfort zone and into someone else's skin. 2. Growing up I would always use movies as an escape (and still do! It’s my biggest self care thing to do). I found myself reciting lines randomly throughout my days. The project that inspired me to really act and write was “The Hate U Give”. The story was so moving and relatable, that’s the kind of projects I want to work on. I want to be in stories that change peoples lives for the better. There are so many movies that have given me a hidden message or helped me maneuver better through a season of life, whether the film meant to or not lol. Also, I have fallen in love with working on set. One of my favorite things is getting to network with everyone working there and becoming like a family. I thought I wanted to be an actress for fame and to have money or be recognised. But then I realised I had been acting all my life, through masking as a neurodivergent teen. I just want to be seen and it's a comfort to remind myself that being someone else can bring joy and happiness instead of struggling through an identity crisis every two weeks. I just want to be someone, to not be forgotten, I want to be loved, I want to inspire people that it does get better, no matter how hard it is now you can get through it.

I want to represent my identity. I don’t see myself on screen, people from my culture and religion. I’ve always been drawn to films and shows, breaking down lines and scenes. Having the chance to be on screen, becoming a voiceover artist and/or writing for the screen, exhilarates me. So I’m currently pursuing it as a hobby, taking classes, workshops and applying to gigs, for even no pay.

I want to be an actor because out of any of the art forms I appreciate I find that acting is the most impressive to me. Seeing someone completely change personality and pour out raw emotion for a role is amazing, I’d love to do that and think I could be quite good at it. I don’t really have any goals in mind at the moment but I would be happy to reach the point of being in a tv drama series or an indie film.
What inspires me the most about acting is the bond of each and every cast in a show. And it's basically my first reason to be an actor in the future. I'm a Civil Engineering student right now, but everytime I watch a good movie or a series, I always imagine afterwards what if i'm the one in there.
My favorite part of being an actor is just hanging out with other actors; whether it's at a rehearsal or during a performance; or between takes or at a wrap party, those people become your family. I have actor friends that I'm closer with than my own family.

The reason I want to be an actor and why I love acting is because I just love the idea of being able to bring a character to life and in turn inspire others to pursue an acting career. I also want to be able to leave my small hometown and prove that I can be among the best of the best. I am 23 right now in the year 2024 (I turn 24 in July) and I have given myself 15 years to work as hard as I can to become an A-list actor that will be known worldwide. I know this won't happen overnight, if it did then everyone would become an actor, but it doesn't so I am ready to put in the time, effort, and money to be the best. @@ryderthegamer4935 I think if it’s a passion of Your’s you should try. At least for a year or two and see if you can get some ground work going. Check out your local colleges and universities - they may have student films going on. Or see if there another city close by with opportunities or work from home work that you can apply to. I would probably recommend still doing Tennis if it’s also something you love, but make time for acting too. You never know. Sometimes all it takes is a single opportunity you never expected to turn out to be something big!

I’m an imaginative person, often I get distracted because I act out scenarios in my head and that annoys me that I’m not spending enough time in the real world but it’s my way of escaping and the only time I don’t zone out is when I’m focusing on acting like when I do stage school. I want to get the most out of life and experience everything I can. I wanted to start acting when I watched Annie (the first version) I fell in love with how these actresses went from completely different lives and fell into the same story line. My wildest dream is to be in the umbrella academy on Netflix, I wouldn’t care if I was a background character that just walked past or I became an important asset. The show is my dream world and the friendships the cast made on set is beautiful. And it’s still going...❤️

I work at Universal Studios and every day I come into contact with anywhere from 6,000 to 40,000 people every day; most of them are wearing T-shirts from their favorite movie or TV show when they arrive and that's exactly how I found out about Stranger Things. I'd never even heard of the show but saw thousands of people wearing shirts with stuff like "Friends don't lie" (etc) that I started to watch the show. I got hooked. And now my goal is to get booked.

I signed with Luxe Talent Agency about a year ago and will be renewing my contract with them within the next few weeks. The most important casting sites (if you're an actor living in LA) are actors access, LA Casting and Casting Frontier. I trained at Playhouse West which was started by Jeff Goldblum (my teachers teacher) and Robert Carnegie. James Franco was also in Jeff's class with my teacher and teaches a class of his own but not at Playhouse West.
Had my first supporting role in a feature film about four years ago; have had three lead roles on nationally syndicated TV shows (as a day player, not a regular) but I do a bit of everything - TV, film, theater, industrial, print, voice work, commercial and I teach a free acting class for disabled veterans at the Sepulveda VA.

Why I wanna be an actor: I’m a person who easily get bored with reality, and the possibilities it offers, so being able to kinda “live” in other realities, designed to be interesting seems amazing. Plus all the small challenges you have to face on set seems to make every day different.

I have been an extra in a couple movies. One was when I was 9 years old, and another was when I was a senior in high school. I wanted to be famous actor when I was younger, but I thought I'd never be one. But I want to be an actor and create things for people to have an escape from live, to change people's life's. I know a bunch of tv shows and movies, people use them as a get away from the real world. I do it as well. I want to be able to become a producer and create movies, tv shows to show real life struggles and show that no one is alone and everyone on this earth has a purpose in meaning in live. When they filmed the movie Men, Women and Children at my high school it was amazing experience. Most of everyone in the senior class were extras, But I remember I would skip class a few times just to watch all the behind-the-scenes stuff going on and watch them film. I wasn't supposed to be where I was but I found all that stuff interesting. I would love to be an actor or even part of a crew to make lifelong friends and help create new things all the time.

I aspire to be an actor because I had the opportunity to participate in an independent film, and I truly appreciated the experience I gained on set. well i want to be an actor to put a smile on peoples faces when their having a bad day. when i watch my fav movies/ tv shows, just one line from my fav character can lift my mood completely! ive always been a generous type and it would make me feel like im living for something, for a purpose. when i was younger i suffered with a stutter, it was draining. why was it that the most outgoing, bubbly girl was being held back by a stupid speech impediment? why me. all my life people have told me to go for something 'more in your reach' but no matter how many times ive been disheartened i remember what it was like not having control over my stutter and i become strong again. ive wanted to be an actor, perform, but i was struggling with confidence and resiliance and suffering serious anxiety. after 7 years of speech therapy i feel like there is something to live for finally. my dad always told me not to let my stutter control me, never to let it win. so since then ive been working my a$$ off to beat it. maybe i can achieve my dream.

1. To be the leading role in a movie or a TV show
2. To star in an action movie
3. Win awards
4. And to just be in a film that everyone is talking about and people enjoy seeing me on screen

Yes, if you don't have any classes in your area, definitely look for online classes. One of the silver linings of this pandemic is that many of the great acting schools are now offering online classes. There is still no substitute for in-person learning though so whenever you do have the opportunity to go to a live class, take advantage of it.

I don't quite remember what made me want to be an actress but I know that I have been wanting to be an actor since I was 5yrs old but as I grew up I began to love acting more and more and I get inspired in every movie I watch I just somehow find a character that I can portray and try to put myself into there shoes

As a kid. My home was always dysfunctional. Except when the tv was on. With the right movie you’d never notice the holes painting the 2nd floor walls. If it’s your dream you have to go for it! No one can tell you you can’t. Even if it’s just reciting lines and performing monologues for friends at least you will be performing. I wish you the best of luck. Just find a few monologues and try reading them with different emotions and just have fun with it! That’s the joy of acting.
What country do you live in? If you're in Los Angeles there are tons of schools; some with reasonable prices and some that are ridiculously over-priced. Other states / cities / countries, I don't know about. But if you're really committed to being an actor then you need to be willing to relocate to an area where you can find a good school which you can afford. One of the best acting schools in LA only costs $250 per month; others you have to pay $25,000 up front. If you really want to achieve something you'll find a way - if you don't really want it, you'll find an excuse and that's the difference between the winners and the losers. Winners will always find a solution to every problem; losers will always manage to find a problem with every solution.
If you really want to be an actor just do it. I didn't have any training at all when I first started acting and was able to get booked in a supporting role in a feature film; lead roles in theater and a few nationally syndicated TV shows. It wasn't until after I had my first supporting role that I started taking classes. Start now; take classes later. And don't over think it, act first; think later. That's what they'll teach you in acting classes anyway - get out of your head; get into the scene. Stop thinking; start doing. Read books like "On Acting" by Sanford Meisner & watch videos on UA-cam - if you can find "Theaters Best Kept Secret" it's worth watching. Just keep putting one foot in front of the other; you'll get there.
And once you get here, don't get discouraged if you don't get invited to audition for every role you submit to. Don't get discouraged if you don't get cast in every role you DO audition for. Rejection is just part of the job you have to get used to and get past it. Even if you get rejected 80% of the time - that just means you have to get through that 80% in order to get to the 20% that's going to pay off. For any role you submit to you might be competing with 300 to 3,000 other actors. It's a numbers game.

1. My life has never been fulfilling to me I've always wanted more and so being able to live so many lives through the characters you play as an actor has always been very appealing to me and I enjoy doing it and the rush it gives me to step out of my comfort zone and into someone else's skin.

Growing up I would always use movies as an escape (and still do! It’s my biggest self care thing to do). I found myself reciting lines randomly throughout my days. The project that inspired me to really act and write was “The Hate U Give”. The story was so moving and relatable, that’s the kind of projects I want to work on. I want to be in stories that change peoples lives for the better. There are so many movies that have given me a hidden message or helped me maneuver better through a season of life, whether the film meant to or not lol.
Also, I have fallen in love with working on set. One of my favorite things is getting to network with everyone working there and becoming like a family.
My goal is to be nominated for an Oscar as an actor. I would also love to be a Marvel superhero.

I thought I wanted to be an actress for fame and to have money or be recognised. But then I realised I had been acting all my life, through masking as a neurodivergent teen. I just want to be seen and it's a comfort to remind myself that being someone else can bring joy and happiness instead of struggling through an identity crisis every two weeks. I just want to be someone, to not be forgotten, I want to be loved, I want to inspire people that it does get better, no matter how hard it is now you can get through it.

1. My inspiration to become an actress comes from watching/analysing characters on screen, the story they tell and the emotions they make the audience feel with a performance. I would love to be a part of that in someone’s life and make them feel something through a performance. I love being able to put myself in another world or mindset for a particularly character and think differently to how I would in my daily life.

I want to be a voice actor, came here for the acting side of that. Storytelling is essential in my eyes, and I would like to be able to be part of telling a story and creating a character that really resonates with someone and can leave an impact.
I know i’m super late to this but here it goes:
1. Acting piqued my interest around the 7th grade but I didn’t think I could do it so I put it to the side. But now I feel a calling towards it as i’ve always been into entertainment and things like that so I wanna take the leap of faith now.
