    Thank you so much for your videos they are always so useful! I have few questions since I have been in korea for like a year now (H-1 visa) but i always have been interested in modeling but i never felt really confident enough until now ! I feel like im ready but im not sure about few things !
    - first of all i have no experience in modeling so is it like a big deal ? Or is it still possible for me to try ? Or maybe it will be a problem when asking the E-6 visa to the embassy?
    - second of all i am 184cm (I’m a girl btw) but i am wondering if i am not too tall ? Because I’ve seen most of the models in korea are between 172cm to 177cm so maybe 184cm can be quite tall no..?
    Sorry all my questions but i tried to look it up only and never really found answers so i hope i can get some from you 😇 once again thank you very much !

      Hello Nana, first of all, thanks for watching my videos, I’m glad you find them helpful 🤍✨
      - I’ve answered to the question regarding experience in this exact video - watch starting from 15:17 The short answer - you do need an experience these days in order to get an E-6 visa. Other than that, if you don’t need a visa, you can just start with the bare minimum of materials and gain the experience eventually in your own phase without a rush.
      - 184 cm is very high even for European and US markets to be honest. This doesn’t mean that you don’t have chances at all and shouldn’t try, but the height will limit the amount of works you can be booked for. Everything also depends on your overall visual appearance.
      Please keep in mind that I don’t know how you look and I am answering just in general.
      There’s always a way to make it work, but it both depends on your hard work, understanding of the market and the luck.
      If you’re serious about it, you are welcome to my coaching sessions and I will help you highlighting your strong sides and planning career strategy to make it work. If you are open to acting / other entertainment- related jobs, it would also make things easier.
      Anyways, wishing you best of luck!💗

    Hi:) Thank you for the video. Would you happen to know if agencies in Korea e-mail you about rejection? Or do they only respond to the people they're interested in?

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  5 місяців тому

      Hi! Thank you for watching 🤍
      Some of the agencies do reply, but it’s quite rare I would say. Sadly most of them will just ignore you if they’re not interested.
      What I’d recommend you doing: send a follow -up email asking for any feedback or at least a clear answer, even if it’s a “no”. Just wait for at least a week before contacting them again.
      I’ve talked more about how to find the best agency for yourself in this video ua-cam.com/video/XSMSAbFxoRM/v-deo.htmlsi=7ZvdzcgQEps0vmxd

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  5 місяців тому

      Dear Lily, I'm sorry I have a rule not to suggest the exact agencies / names, because the industry is changing really quickly, people come and go and the agency that once was good can become not so good and vice-versa. And choosing the agency should be based on your personal case, so it requires a lot of time to do the research. Please invest your time in this and I'm sure you'll find suitable option for yourself. No need to rush, especially since the current situation with E-6 visas and the entertainment industry in general isn't that stable. Take your time to learn more about everything, build a strong case + portfolio and then reach out to Korean agencies.
      Please watch my videos and you will have enough information to figure out how everything works and how to find the best agency for yourself.

    Hello!
    Thank you so much your video was really helpful! But I got a little confused at one point. If a korean modeling agency asks for a large amount of money to pay a visa fee under the guise that this money is to pay a lawyer work is this a red flag and you shouldn't cooperate with such an agency? or is this common practice?
    Plus a good modeling agency will not force you to pay and go to modeling courses?

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  19 днів тому +1

      Hello and welcome ~
      I’m glad to hear that this video was helpful for you!🤍
      Regarding your questions. It’s always a 🚩 in both cases (visa fee / modeling schools), however it is up to you to decide whether to agree working with such agencies or not.
      Asking money for visa issuance is illegal and if the immigration somehow will find out that you have got your visa like this, it may be cancelled + you can face some serious consequences. I personally wouldn’t risk it, but many people do…
      And as I’ve mentioned in this video - the immigration is more strict now about the whole process and many agencies are under investigation.
      All these things doesn’t mean that it’s impossible to get an E-6 visa and find a reliable agency for your representation. You will have no problems if you meet the requirements of Korean market (I’ve explained what types of looks Korean agencies are most interested in here ua-cam.com/video/wyOBpmYw6H4/v-deo.htmlsi=U9d2m6T8C5nIIdEW ) and will have all required documents / experience which I’ve mentioned in this video.
      Wishing you best of luck and please be careful, there are many frauds in this business.

    Thank you for sharing all this info in this video🙏🏻
    I have a question: is it normal for an agency to receive a fee for training and supporting beginner models while granting me an E6 visa? They said I’ll pay the fee and they will sponsor my visa and after I arrive in Korea they help me settle, find home, create a bank account, teach me modeling skills and Korean language basics , and give me a gym membership as well.
    And how do they guarantee that they provide jobs afterwards?

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  5 місяців тому +1

      Hello ~ You're welcome and thank you for watching! I'm glad it was helpful.
      Basically what they're offering is another "modeling school / classes" or a way to justify the "visa fee", which isn't right as I've mentioned in my video. If the agency would be truly interested in you, they would have done all of it anyways. Remember: you don't need to "learn" modeling skills in a modeling school or classes, you just need the practice, basic knowledge of the industry + have the "right" look, the visual appearance that will be good for the local market.
      On the other hand - in our current reality, sometimes paying the fee (if it's reasonable) isn't that bad if you're absolutely sure that this agency is legit and they will not keep on asking for money from you and creating the reasons you need to pay extra for "this and that" and will make it easier for you to adjust to the life in Korea. If you feel like you'd like to work with them, try to negotiate - ask if it's possible to discuss their terms and conditions like reducing the fee by excluding their "services" - you can book a gym membership by yourself (or just go hiking, walking in the parks etc - there are so many options to be active, especially in Seoul), learn what you need by yourself and etc. This way you will be able to figure out "who they really are" a little bit better. This is what I would do first, but always try to find an agency that is truly interested in their model's career development and have several options to be able to compare few agencies and their conditions. Don't rush into it.
      Sadly, no one will ever guarantee if they'll be able to provide the jobs to you or not. The only way to get some kind of guarantee - have this listed in your contract. And they won't do this.
      Partly your success depends on you and your experience. One of the ways you can learn more - check other models' profiles (models that are already signed with this agency) and see how they're doing. You can also DM them and ask about their experience with this agency Usually you can see this by their IG profiles / activity already.
      Which agency has offered you these conditions by the way? If you don't want to share its name publicly, please feel free to DM me on IG.
      Anyways, wishing you best of luck!🤍

      @@TatianaKurnosovaThank you for your reply. I forgot to mention that they said that they only do this supportive training for beginners and not professionals; since I’m considered a beginner they said I’ll have to pay the fee only once and it’s 1500000 KRW(about 1400 USD I guess). Also I’m not signed to any other agencies. The agency is Khighend model management.

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  5 місяців тому +1

      This is the average number every agency asks I would say. This agency has started “popping up” everywhere not long time ago, so sadly I don’t know much info about them and don’t know if they’ve sponsored someone’s visas already. Because half of the models on their board are either based abroad or already have their visas.
      Let’s hope we’ll find out more about them soon.

    подскажите, пожалуйста, как стать популярной моделью в своём городе? моё агенство базируется в другом городе и в основном работы предлагают оттуда и то редко:( хочу стать моделью в Корее, но наверное для начала лучше поработать дома. заранее спасибо 🫶🏻

    • @TatianaKurnosova
      @TatianaKurnosova  4 місяці тому

      Добрый день. В целом, если не говорить о внешних данных, вам нужно начать с работы над своим портфолио и построением связей - коллаборации, знакомства с местными брендами, фотографами, стилистами и т.д. В этом бизнесе очень важны знакомства - это один из способов узнать первой о возможной работе, картингах и тд.
      У вас нет возможности ездить в другие города на работу? В идеале, быть открытой к этому, тк во всех постсоветских странах моделинг более-менее развит только в столицах и в паре крупных городов. Там гораздо больше возможностей, как заработать, так и просто собрать сильное портфолио и набраться опыта.
      Могу я узнать, о каком городе идет речь и где находится ваше МА?
      Самое лучшее, на мой взгляд, - ехать работать в Корею через материнское агентство - это более безопасно и надежно, поэтому очень важно иметь хорошее агентство и не имеет значения, находится оно в вашем городе или даже в другой стране.
      Хорошая тактика также напоминать агентству о себе, говорить о своих пожеланиях / планах и также выслушать их мнение по поводу развития вашей карьеры. Потому что, иногда не достаточно только вашего желания работать в определенной стране - к примеру, ваш типаж может быть невероятно востребован на определенном модельном рынке (в определений стране), но совершенно не востребован в другом (той же Корее). Я не говорю, что это так, но важно быть объективной в этих вопросах и выбирать путь, который принесет вам успех и будет максимально выгодным.
      Удачи вам 🤍✨🫶🏻

      Unfortunately modeling isn’t a stable job itself, but if you fit into the industry standards, you will have plenty of work.

      Hello Aditya, nice to meet you.
      I’ve already replied to your comment under my other video. I recommend you to find a mother agency first (you have a good height for modeling, so why not. If you have good visual features, you will have more opportunities in modeling while working through the Mother Agency).
      I explain how to find the agency here ua-cam.com/video/XSMSAbFxoRM/v-deo.htmlsi=O0r4TAppF7xhiIFy
      If you’re interested in working in Korea specifically, then still I recommend you trying it through the Mother Agency since you are very young and it will be much safer than approaching Korean agencies by yourself ( + you need an experience in modeling to do so).
      Watch my other videos, learn about the industry first, gain some experience and then go for it. Make sure to talk to your parents and get their approval too. Since you’re under 18 years old, they will be signing all of the documents for you.
