I think the fact that gilliman wanted sanguineous to be the emperor is because deep down he needs someone to salute he's a great leader a great administrator but he still needs to be under someone's authority
Guilleman is neither a leader nor a servant he is a coordinator and is willing to take whatever role he needs to within that spectrum to do his duty. He will crusade under the emperor or leading the imperium itself in the future because at the end of the day, his purpose is to be able to coordinate governmental structures and warfare on any level at any time
He is a perfect regent not emperor, underneath someone or even better serving in someones stead in selected parts instead of the entiretity makes him far more effective
That is what makes guilliman such a great leader . He doesnt want to be the leader. He would rather be in the background working but unfortunately for him he has to be the leader because he is the best choice and men will follow him
I do love this moment it shows so much emotion as much flak as bobby G gets he is one of my favourites and to hear him and my primarch talking this moment hits deep thanks Rho
Rouboute Guilliman is the Imperial Administrator and as a former Administrator, I know that the day comes when even the Admin can have had ENOUGH! :D I appreciate what you do, Roboute, I've been there! ... we all need a Sanguinius to make us feel better.
They done fantastic job on Roboute recently, started with know no fear and then recent work of Guy haley ! I want to vomit when i still see this hate going for Guilliman and ultramarines, he is in a sense like Captain America of avengers but with more layers of character added in recent books. Why is so that over there fans love and cheer a good men and in warhammer they still hate like old fans of Metallica that say tha band ended on - Kill them All :) Its silly and i hope that it s gonna get better and people gonna stop saying that someone like ultras and he boring and bland. Boring and bland very often means succes and winning - being disciplined and extraordinary in ordinary :) Cheers for everyone and big love for this channel.
I never even thought of that. Sanguinius is the holiest symbol of all the extinct religion of Terra. He is the Angel incarnate. How did the Emperor feel about that? One of his best and closest son is an angel incarnate.
Oh no, but also yes. This is hard topic in perfect description. Angels are described as babies yes. But what about the rest? And it's not just Micheal or Lucifer. The Choir of God, Angel's Hall were filled with these transcended beings. That is what Sanguinius resembles. One of God's army. One of the Choir. I'm sorry if my description is bad. I don't know the English, Biblic words in english.
Imperium secundus is some of the best artwork I've seen done for 40k. Seeing guilliman with his lighting claws in the air roaring with sanguinius standing calmly watching over their "new" empire. Just badass.
I've been learning about the Lore for over a year now and know the basics about the Primarchs...but this...hearing the love between them as brothers...it gives me a whole new apreciation of them.
I think wolf lord rho is my favorite lore master, I started out really liking Leutin09 I still do...but I think the Wolf Lord gives us such insight to the characters, its really amazing.
I dont know much but maybe 1 of the 2 unknown primarchs was meant to fight against the forces of chaos and he fell or something along those line and then russ was sent to kill him maybe after russ did that the emperor erased his memories.Because i remember that horus got his god like powers he said hes been there before with the emperor but cant put his finger on it or something like that .meaning the emperor could have erased his memories butnlike i said i dont know much
Total Eradication would be how Big E keeps chaos from the primarch’s. Erase everything, the missing legions, the sons, plinths, names, memories.... chaos knows no quarter when compared to potential corruption. Would explain why Big E hesitation on taking out Horus.... he had already done it 1-2 times.... 3rd time not being the charm nor hat-trick...
I am probably putting Sanguinius and the Blood Angels as my favourites after this week and doing some of my own reading. That being said I also appreciate the work that's done to develop characters like the Khan and Guilliman, who are perhaps less 'flashy' but no less interesting as characters.
Also I believe there's no good answer to the question of if the Emperor was right or wrong to keep the knowledge of Chaos and the gods from his sons. Yes they could have been armored by the knowledge, but that doesn't mean they couldn't still be tempted by the dark powers. I mean you can't say that knowledge would have stopped Lorgar from siding with Chaos, and who knows if it would have helped Horus any. Also you'd have to ask if Fulgrim would have recognised the Lair Blade for a Daemon weapon if he'd known about Chaos. I feel like Angron would have fallen to Khonate worship sooner or later because of the damned nails as well. Perterabo, well who knows really what would have happened, maybe if he'd known what the Obliterator Virus would do to a number of his sons. As with anything in 30k or 40k, it's extremely complicated.
As malcador said, knowledge of the warp and the ruinous powers would have led to more than just horus falling. Horus didn't even seek out chaos, treachery was at fault there, but had he known about it, or had the other primarchs known about it, they would have focused on it and no matter their intentions, they would have fallen to it. Imagine if Dorn or Roboute had fallen to it with Horus. Malcador shut that hindsight down with the final word on it and he knows the warp just like the Emporer does. This is the authors way of letting us know this, so having an opinion opposed to that is kind of bad reading comprehension. Literary tactics are kind of universal when it comes to story telling and I've always found them to be pretty obvious. The only things left to personal interpretation are the subjects that we are left absolutely in the black about which is an economic tactic. Like the Emporers origin... There isn't one. Because its a corporation, They'll decide on one when they feel like it's more profitable than not giving one to us. I feel like you, Wolf Lord Rho, always hit the nail on the head when it comes to what you think. I don't think that you "think", I think you that you "know" because of comprehensive reading skills.
I hate when people say Robute is boring, hes not boring id argue he is just the most human out of all of them. In that he isnt overly violent like angron, nor is he as emotionally contained as the khan or the lion. He also doesn't value human life as little as the night haunter, while not crossing the border that Vulcan seemingly does into over valuing every last person to the detriment of strategic military objectives. In general I think robute is what most people would be if they where endowed with all of the abilities of a primarch.
I disagree he is the most boring, because he had a reasonably stable upbringing which also reflects on his ideals and success. Others like the death lord or angron had to be saved from certain death there was no happy ending. The primarchs that landed on death worlds had to fight to survive. What was his biggest trial like compared to the others?
Lion is essentially respected by most primarchs , while others openly insult Gulliman 😂 Curze used to call him gulliweed and even the stoic mortarian hoped lion would be back instead of gulliman. Gulliman himself had a simp fan moment when he saw lion jump down from the craft. "Unhand me brother or we will swiftly find out which of us is the better fighter" 😂Lion eldiablo jonSnow. 😂Gulliman wiftly runs to sanguinius later when the fleet arrives.
When Vulkan returns and walks into that chamber, Guilliman will shout an order to clear the area. He will remain stern and resolute until it empties. Then he'll collapse into Vulkan's waiting arms and have a much needed cry. Vulkan gives the hug that will save humanity.
Love these little moments between the Primarchs, but I happened to have a thought: In the current timeline, when Guilliman visited Baal (or rather saved Baal from the Tyranids), do you think he would've been able to access the Blood Angels' Librarius to read the Scrolls of Sanguinius? Do you think any of the insights of the scrolls might have helped him in the days to come?
Talking; that's the exciting stuff I've been looking forward to! It's not what they say that gets me, but the things that are hinted at. Could they have prepared for Chaos had they known? How?
i like how the emperor literally fucked himself with a big my bad guys i mean you cant even say, i hope you get the punishment you deserve as he got all the punishment he could possibly get imagine you are in that position youd be pretty much done with everything too
I love that Lion make Roboute pissed and want that Lion shall be punished by Sanguinius. Even if Lion agree with Roboute to make Sanguinius to emperor. Still Sanguinius know nothing what Lion is. I really hope more than ever that Lion return to 40k as DA fan. And I love Primachs too and want to see Lion reunited with Roboute one more time.
Everyone always says that if they fell to Chaos it would have been to Khorne but I always think that Slaanesh might have had a good shot at it too. Angel boi is considered to be pretty much perfect by everyone including other primarchs. Only internally did he suffer about being cursed and being wiped out by another chapter. So if our favourite hedonist came along and said yea I can fix that for you, make you truly perfect angel boi you and all your sons too. Wings for everyone. Hard deal to pass up I say and much better than, become a rage monster for the rest of eternity for me please?
I doubt all of the Primarchs would react well if the Emperor told them about Chaos. Guilliman and Sanguinius would probably be fine. Many of the others would probably be fine too but a lot of them would probably immediately turn traitor.
After sanguininus week please do the anchents await in the sons of the emperor anthology it explained what happened to ancient rylanor who virus bombed Deamon fulgrim

Half of accepting people is letting go of what you want of them, the other is accepting them for who they are. Guilliman not being able to control the Lion would drive him crazy, I can't imagine. 😂
What would be reaction of Sanguinius on the current state of Imperium in 41M? Would he "accept" worshiping the Emperor as a God like BlueDaddy did or would he promote the Imperial Truth?
if konrad curze and sanguinius could see the future the same, the reason why sanguinius is so good at connecting is that he see. he see all his brothers dying will be the only way to save all of them. he could only see up to that point if he lived, all of humanity would perish the through the chaos powers. if he dies then their only fate without predictions, somthing that could be molded. he grew up with this power seeing everyone dying some way or another since his birth. he understands that he has the limited life span. also could just be another of tzeentchs plots.

The more I think about it the more I think Konrad was amazing. Unlike all the other primarchs he wasn’t plagued by vanity or blind faith. He saw how it was. I would love to see a nightlords comeback in the future
I like how Guilliman created Imperium Secundus as the second Imperium of Man in case the first one was destroyed and to make Sanguinius it's emperor. It's like how your big brother messes up something in the house. You know that you're big bro is gonna get an asswhooped by your parents but he just blames it on you because his to much of a whimp to take it.
I play Ultramarines. I am unashamed. Guilliman could have ruled but saw in his brother a far greater being. Guilliman saw these in Dante. @@kubapiwowarczyk599 what? What book is this? I need it
@@CallofWar5 Canticle, a short story.
Right or wrong, what's done is done. The best move is learn from what happened, make a decision on what's the best way to keep moving forward.
Sanguinuis is so regal and majestic
He would rather be in the background working but unfortunately for him he has to be the leader because he is the best choice and men will follow him
Nah he is what is needed of him, if he is needed to be emperor he will be the emperor. I think he is probably the best for the job overall.
When you adore robute so much that watching him getting captured in bfga2 kinda hurts
I love this art so much because it shows the wolves and scars glowering while everyone else is cheering
This was brilliant, thank you! A great insight into the Great Angel's thoughts.
Guilliman comforting the pigeon was nothing compared to the feels of Lorgar listening to Angrons feelings 😭
Christopher Paice then immediately betray him to Khorne hardly compassionate dude haha!
Chris Spink That’s Lorgar 😅😂
They needed to be triumvirate leadership. Sanguinius the voice, Roboute the Pen and Lion'El the Sword.
And Rus the fixer.
I appreciate what you do, Roboute, I've been there!
... we all need a Sanguinius to make us feel better.
He was his fabulous hawkboy and dont you say anything bad about him!
that is not how the bible describe angels despite popular culture adoption of it. winged humans were a thing in art back in ancient Greece
@@Kareszkoma , your English is fine. You made complete Sense.
Oh and yet the new Lion miniature is probably the best yet, the head most certainly, with interchangeable helmet.
Love the Primarch moments. The combat is epic but the talking points are just so well written and give meaning to the Primarch's actions.
I feel like Vulcan should have been the big bro that all the other primarchs could open up to cus he would give the best pep talks and bear hugs lol
Let next week be that of Vulkan and mighty hugs! STOMP STOMP
Imperium secundus is some of the best artwork I've seen done for 40k. Seeing guilliman with his lighting claws in the air roaring with sanguinius standing calmly watching over their "new" empire.
Just badass.
Thanks Rho, fantastic week.
I've been learning about the Lore for over a year now and know the basics about the Primarchs...but this...hearing the love between them as brothers...it gives me a whole new apreciation of them.
Keep em up
Really love your vids
If possible do a video about the sword of emperor
I think wolf lord rho is my favorite lore master, I started out really liking Leutin09 I still do...but I think the Wolf Lord gives us such insight to the characters, its really amazing.
that drawing alwasy cracks me up a little, gulliman is like ''WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO'''
If Sanguinious ever comes back, I'll start a blood angel army. Other than that, forget space marines
That being said I also appreciate the work that's done to develop characters like the Khan and Guilliman, who are perhaps less 'flashy' but no less interesting as characters.
that glorious of image of papa smurf in complete triumph while raising his brother's hand always puts a smile on my face
RagnaRock&Roll... GWAR ftw. They're 100% from the grim dark and Oderus Urungus is the forgotten primarch of the XIth Legion.
He'd ride Gor Gor into battle! :D
How could anybody NOT like this video? It was a great conversation, Roboute chastened by the Angel.
One of the reasons why Guy Haley is one of my favorite Black Library
*Apothecry here, moisture detected in visor. Recommendation: Cry really hard*
Really enjoyed the music this week on these! You chose perfectly.
Just how can you not love these two?
One of the best Primarch interactions, would Love to see how Vulkan and Papa Smurf interact?! haha
@Ahmad Zubair ya that's what I was thinking and how Vulkan is down right disgusted with how the humans are being treated. I think anyways haha
That being said it's still fun to read other people's opinions.
One day we will get a series of the horus heresy to watch and it will be glorious!
@@howsmydriving-ei2yn His biggest trial is pulling what was left of imperium of man.
This goes to show that they were all flawed in there own ways ( except Russ of course) all had trouble trusting each other Horus just made it worse
Is it just me which love that Lion make his brother Roboute so angry 😂
Lion is essentially respected by most primarchs , while others openly insult Gulliman 😂 Curze used to call him gulliweed and even the stoic mortarian hoped lion would be back instead of gulliman. Gulliman himself had a simp fan moment when he saw lion jump down from the craft. "Unhand me brother or we will swiftly find out which of us is the better fighter" 😂Lion eldiablo jonSnow. 😂Gulliman wiftly runs to sanguinius later when the fleet arrives.
They all needed a father more then an Emperor. TTS kitten is best Step Emperor.
Wow this was amazing! I have to get this book in some format plus Fear to Tread. 🏆 You're the best Rho
I think if Sanguinius returned in current 40k Guilliman would greet him with tears of unfathomable joy. a brother thought gone forever now returned.
When Vulkan returns and walks into that chamber, Guilliman will shout an order to clear the area. He will remain stern and resolute until it empties. Then he'll collapse into Vulkan's waiting arms and have a much needed cry. Vulkan gives the hug that will save humanity.
3:57 This is why the Angel should have been war master.
It's to soon my lord! we need more Sanguinius! ^^
Hey I noticed you ticked over to 43k from 42.8k! Congrats :)
WHAT? YOU DID NOT SAY YOUR CATCHPHRASE !! "but with that said, lets just jump straight in"
I actually really loved this book. One of my favorites!
How?
at the end of plague wars you get to see robute angry aswell
Love it keep it up please and will you do alpharasis week or logar my lord kneels
I think revealing the flaws might have introduced more doubt in their father. I am sure that is what is on Sanguinius' mind.
The angel never disappoints
i like how the emperor literally fucked himself with a big
my bad guys
i mean you cant even say, i hope you get the punishment you deserve as he got all the punishment he could possibly get
imagine you are in that position
youd be pretty much done with everything too
I love that Lion make Roboute pissed and want that Lion shall be punished by Sanguinius.
Too short we need a Sanguinius MONTH
I doubt all of the Primarchs would react well if the Emperor told them about Chaos. Guilliman and Sanguinius would probably be fine. Many of the others would probably be fine too but a lot of them would probably immediately turn traitor.
Rob as the Emperor and Sangiunis as his advisor similar to Malcador.
SANGUINIS week was hype
After sanguininus week please do the anchents await in the sons of the emperor anthology it explained what happened to ancient rylanor who virus bombed Deamon fulgrim
Emperor bless
Just subed. I'm a night lords dude but great story telling. Death to the false emperor. Keep up the good work and keep safe. lml
So Sanginus' and Roboute Beratheons mothers must have been blondes because the Emp. Has some black ass hair, in reality Rowboat should have dark brown hair, and Sangria should have jet black hair like his father, I know Astartes wasn't a blonde, you know what I mean.
I'm so freakin pissed!! I'm writing a letter to black horse, I mean library, as we speak!
Honestly I think he might come to the same conclusion as guilliman did
Marko Gilja
He doesn’t accept it. He simply knows he can’t afford to start another civil war over it.
I think that sang.could tell roboute about chaos gods and even more..he knows how many of them? Khorne and slaneesh..i think but thats enough..
Keep up the good work.
And we shall name this suo: *SANGUILLIMAN*
if konrad curze and sanguinius could see the future the same, the reason why sanguinius is so good at connecting is that he see. he see all his brothers dying will be the only way to save all of them. he could only see up to that point if he lived, all of humanity would perish the through the chaos powers. if he dies then their only fate without predictions, somthing that could be molded. he grew up with this power seeing everyone dying some way or another since his birth. he understands that he has the limited life span. also could just be another of tzeentchs plots.
We all just going to ignore those guys in the bottom right who look distinctly like genestealer cultists
A whole new spin on Giddyman's 'special' empire within an empire
If these 3 primarchs were alive in the 41k timeline, surely the imperium of man would be restored to glory
Gulliman and Sanguinius were actually the perfect pair, a realist and idealist
Wolf lord rho's voice is so manly
He may be cold and calculating at times; but Guilliman is no fool. He is the perfect tragic hero. He gave his life, his loyalty, and his best friend, his bother, to ensure the survival of Mankind. Sanguinius was not only his brother, but his closest and most beloved friend.
The regret, the loss, the pain Guilliman endures is beyond comprehension. I truly believe he is worthy of his position.
Russ. The Scottsman.
