- Hi all Wolf Lord rho here!
Today Sanguinius week rolls on! With us discussing Sanguinius becoming Emperor, of the Imperium Secundus!
The events we are discussing today are from the Horus Heresy novel "The Unremembered Empire" by Dan Abnett. As always I really recommend you read the novel for yourself first. As that's the best way to enjoy the lore, for yourself! Not only that, but we help to support the great games workshop and black library. Because without them, we don't have this amazing lore to talk about! Link: www.blacklibra...

Just consider how profound it is that both Guilliman AND THE LION trusted Sanguinius to be the Emperor. Guilliman being willing to give HIS empire to one of his brother's care is almost impossible. The Lion trusting and loving one of his brothers enough to be willing to SUBORDINATE HIS IMMEDIATE WILL to his wishes IS impossible!
Lol it's like 3 little brothers imagining being characters they idolize in the backyard. 😄
Sanguinius: 😇"I'll be Dad!"
Gullimen: 😎"I'll be Uncle Malcador!"
Johnson: 😈"I'll be Warmaster!"*pew pew*
I actually dread to think what would have happened between Guilliman and Jonson if Sanguinius hadn't shown up. Initially, the two didn't distrust one another, but they really didn't have faith in one another. The revelation that Vulkan had been alive on Macragge stoked distrust in Jonson. The deployment of Dark Angels drop pods on Macragge, and that the act was done by Konrad Curze made Guilliman harbor doubts of Jonson. Who better to inspire trust and command respect than the Angel, Himself.
@@LordBloodraven Yeah it was nice. I don't think Johnson and Gullimen would be fighting each other when they had bigger fish to fry. Primarchs are emotional but aren't that stupid.
i mean slight spoiler but Johnson bitch slapped 1 of the main characters to death by accident in a emotional rage after his authority was questioned vs the emps. immediately after he went o shit i fucked up and then continued on.
@@dominicomegon4714 well, not all of them anyway
The last time I was this early Sanguinius was still alive...
I’m not crying, you’re crying...
Too soon brother
We all are brother
if SANGUINIUS had lived the imperium would never have fallen so far
If any of Loyalists Primarch had lived/didn't dissapear, the Imperium would never have fallen so far
@@Baamthe25th Disagree. Strongly suspect civil war would be inevitable without a higher authority than themselves to keep the peace. That is the only reason Guilliman is able to rule in 41k. He's essentially the only uncontested authority that remains. Other Primarchs returning would only be a destabilising force..
@@cgavin1 That would also depend of the primarch that returns, Say Vulkan came next, I doubt Vulkan and BobbyG would fight eachother. But if the Lion returns next...
Yep, disappearing or going off on stupid missions personally was criminally irresponsible of the loyalists - they’re worth more alive than missing or dead!
Dark Kronis it wouldn’t have fallen at all
Sanguinius is perhaps one of the most Badass and awesome out of all the Primarchs. I wish he was still alive. But given as to what we have of him. He will always be a True and Loyal son of the Emperor.
If you are the forces of chaos he is the one primarch that has to be dead by the end of it all. Think about how things play out if he survives the heresy. Do you think Guilliman would have been able to ram through his bs codex? Would Rogal Dorn have been completely driven down by his grief? I think if he survives it all they come together and agree to put him in charge because he is the one who would have sorted through all the differences in agreement. If the Emperor was the main target I would say The Angel was Target 1b
That picture just breathes, "do i have to guilliman"
For some reason I thought Guilliman was praising the sun.
Guilliman "HAHAHAAHA YES, THEY LOVE YOU!!"
That's what I loved about Sanguinius, he was always Humble.
Do it and I will share my Eldar stash with you.
Gulliman
Yes because they love you and because Lion didnt really like me
I really think this was an optimal choice for a ruler. A polymath that had a spiritual side, a diplomat that could mediate disputes, a person that brought the best out of people as either a leader or comrade. At the very least, Imperium Secundus was as good as it got in such a time of great uncertainty.
I've never played the table top game, but have logged countless hours on the likes of Dawn of War and Space Marine. While playing multiplayer in the latter, I found a group that was a role playing faction of the Dark Angels. I didn't know anything about the Dark Angels' lore at the time. Eventually, I was inducted into their ranks after much time and many trials. We fought alongside each other through glorious battles. It's only after listening to Rho talk about the 30/40k stories that I have a newfound sense of pride that I was counted among the children of the Lion. It may have been sheer coincidence, but it turned out that I was following my soon to be favorite son of the Emperor and didn't even know it. (Sappy and meaningless, I know. I'm just still working off the high that comes from delving into 40k)
Well said brother i too was introduced to warhammer 40k by dawn of war and did not know much about warhammer just that there were space marines orkz chaos and eldar
Yeah, Dark Angels are cool and all , medieval space knights with their circles and flying monastery and all that but from som specific Horus Heresy books El’Jhonson comes off (to me at least) as the ...antisocial type (to say the least) and actually lacking empathy and understanding of humans! Also imo sending Luther and Zahariel back to Caliban was a grave mistake, instead of forgiving Luther who is basically like his father, The Lion kinda seals the deal on him , and forsakena Luther into betraying him! Also Zahariel was sent to Caliban to serve under Luther unjustly, he saved The Lion from the cube thingy... hell he saved The Emperor on his visit to Caliban, and at the first sign of mistake El’Jhonson sends him back to Caliban for recruitment duty ! No wonder he got corrupted by Chaos , he was so mistreated by The Lion! Anyway my opinion is that Dark Angels are cool , their Primarch is a scumbag !
It’s ok. Kill Team is fun but the lore is amazing. *Watch this one… another Dark Angel…*
Did you guys go on hunt's for the fallen? That would be epic
This is why I love Gulliman always being practical and always the diplomat .On top of that we get one of the better moments of the Lion and Sanguinius.
I love the fact that when Chaos tried to tempt Guilliman, they tried to use his practicality against him - seeking to convince him that he could use the weapons of the enemy for "practical" reasons.
But the Lion and Guilliman figured it out and Guilliman crushed the Athame blades.
There's a line when Malcador is talking with the Emperor where Mal raises concern about Robute and the Emperor says something along the lines of Robute's Empire building which has always made me think the Emperor knew.
Lion El Johnson “almost” invaded Macragge.
2 weeks later, Lion is Lord Protector of 500 worlds of Ultramar and Sanguinius is emperor.
Thank you Papa Smurf 🤩
And the best thing? The Lion still attacked part of the planet with orbital weapons later, because the Lion does not fuck around!
Kristian Kristiansen
Lion is the the most badass of all the primarchs. No wonder all of them were shaking at merely meeting him or having to deal with him. Uncompromising, resolute, determined. Lord of the first.
@@markogrmusa7852 Completely agreed!
@Ahmad Zubair The Emperor said it best as regards the lion: He was both a self-absorbed spiteful & envious prick... and an honorable, courageous and dutiful warrior at the same time.
@@markogrmusa7852 I wonder. A match of will between Johnson and Rogal Dorn.
It is this interaction here that helps assure me that the Lion will not stir up enmity with Guilliman when he awakes. In his heart and his wisdom he knows Guilliman is no usurper.
Oh Rho you glorious wolf lord one of the moments I wanted you to cover the most thank you .also I love the fact that 3 primarch’s all talking the 3 most wanted back into 40k
Edit after that un remembered empire quote I got chills down my spine
Now I know sometimes writers don't take into account what others have written but it is interesting that in this Sanguinius has the ability to change his appearance based on the observer, if it's conscious or a subconscious action remains to be seen, and then going back to the first episode of the week where Jaghatai feels compelled to be honest with him and the observations of his aura and features. Was it Jaghatai seeing the true Sanguinius or was it what he wanted to see in his brother angel?
Lorgar is said to look The most like The emperor
But sanguinius is said to have his soul. The idéal version of The emperor if hé fully embrace his good side
AND VULKAN HIS HEART.
@Deathcoldan So which aspect did Angron represent then? I never heards of the Emperor going full psicho killer machine mode, killing even his own in his fury.
Magnus is also claimed to look like the emperor
@@loecorristo555 Did kill his uncle? Plus, come on, Great Crusade? What happened to humans who didnt want to comply? The Emperor is the Emperor but he still is a killer
@@Primus_Phallus Yes, but they were given a choice.Join one way or the other. While Angron method was going in, in full frenzy mode massacring everyone in its path. The next planet/planets who already heard of this , capitulated even before he arrived. Because when he already arrived there were no choices given. He (the Emperor) killed his uncle because he killed his father isn't it? there was a provoking action which resulted in reaction. Angron is just an animal now. He (ANgron) was a bit more ''talkative'' in the Great Crusade, but by now he is nothing more than an angry killing machine, which is sad, because he has one of the saddest but interesting story among the primarchs. GW should add some more lore for Angron.
Loving Sanguinius week so far!
The Reluctant Ruler is the good and just Ruler.... he does not seek power....all the more reason to make him the shepherd and caretaker of it...
The reluctant ruler is a dumb theory. Imagine if we apply that logic to any other job. Imagine having a reluctant doctor, lawyer or even barber. The best person for any job is the one who loves and wants the job. Power corrupts all, no matter their desires. The only differences is how long it take for the corruption to take hold. The best way to keep a ruler uncorrupted is by creating a check and balance system. Nothing else work, no matter how reluctant they are.
Yes. It might corrupt in the long run, thats why. Roubute and the lion are. The other 2 opposition side to him. They “the triumvirate” will make the correct secessions to balance* power. They need. Sanguine to be the face and lead from the front. Neither. The lion or guirlmen. Can stand for the other to be in charge. So. Sanguine is the middle ground.
Having power and choosing not to use it. Just because “you think”. It should be. Just shows that you have never “had”. Any. It is 40k. Shit is gonna happen.
Id rather have the dude that is ideology of. I care. Vs. fuck everything.
See above comment for further detail. It is just a observation i had made.
He is. Not weak. He just does not want to fight. Sanguine might be the best of all of them. Out of Martial skill. Russ and horus and. The kahn have a healthy respect for what he can do. It has been stated.
He does not want to rule. But for the greater good. And to keep. The smurfs vs DA fight happening, he will keep the imperial vision alive that. Big E was trying for
Reluctant rulers never stay in power for long. And what's even the point of having a leader if he doesn't dare to exert his will to power to get shit done?
Damn I now REALLY want Lion to return to the current setting. He and Guilliman seems like a good team!
The meeting hug but in reverse
3 years after this comment he has! Your wish has been granted!
I'm loving the after effects like the rose petals and the fire on your videos. It's that little bit of extra detail makes it all the better.
Great video! Always willing to support! All hail the Angel! All hail Primarch Sanguinius! Praise the Emperor!!!
I really like the thought of the emperor, and partly Sanguinius, not being creatures of so to say "fixed form", but instead constantly changing with the circumstances. It really serves to emphasise the "alien" in them. The strange otherness that really serves to underline them being more than mere men.
Also a nifty way to fix the Sanguinius hair corlour debate.
You gotta do the fight between Sanguinius and Kurze next.
crippletime he’s already covered it in a previous video a few months back, called sanguinius spares kurze
As someone who has an issue with mild dyslexia as well as a lack of free time, I greatly appreciate channels like yours that distill this information into a format I can consume without too much difficulty. Keep up the work my friend!
I can only imagine how Russ would react to his brothers death.
HERESY!
I’ve informed the inquisitors of your location Rho...
I’m sorry... For the Emperor...
I think that while Sanguinius was named "emperor", the forgotten arrangement is that Sanguinius has become an elected successor. With no direct line of lineage from any first born from the emperor (to my knowledge), I believe that even should Terra and the Emperor himself fall that humanity still has a hope among the closest of his sons. Still being human himself I believe that the Emperor had more of a fathers pride for this happening, that his sons are coming together to maintain what he (the emperor) started, no matter what happens
I think also the lion knows that the ultra marines will have his back but not only that like himself the dark angels and the ultra marines will always fight for the imperiam. Really enjoyed this video in fact I'm going to relisten to the audio book of this "the unremembered empire" I play as ultra marines on the table top so that's why I loved it so much though I must say I love all the lore for 40k I could about this stuff for days and days and not get bored well as long as I was gaming on the table top and chatting about the lore that's a perfect day for me lol
He is the perfect symbol. Just and fair, not craving power but reluctantly accepting it, and acting to preserve the legacy of his father. He would make a great ruler.
Sanguinius was a person Fulgrim wanted to be, but fall short of it.
iloveplayingpr Fulgrim encountered a certain silver snake sword , that made sure he fell short of it !I think the Chaos Gods went for Fulgrim intentionality and not by accident, given the fact that pride was his flaw !
This week is filling my Audible wishlist. Thank you
its getting expensive! 🤣
"Wolf Lord bro here I'm here At genious week" properly lold when I left the thumbnail video going and the subtitles on !! Top work again though Rho best primarch week so far ! Stay safe x
Sangunius became Emperor mainly because Guilliman didn't want the Lion in that spot and he knew he couldn't be the Emperor without being as bad as Horus
Imagine if the lion and Sanguinius return in some fashion and there is a repeat of this scene in the 41st.
This really was one of the best books. And while Sanguinius was pivotal, Guilliman shone in this book. And the cover art was one of the best in the series. Right up there with "The Primarchs" (and the lesser sequel cover "Slaves to Darkness").
As suitible Heirs...only Angel Boy would be no1. Guilleman a distant second
I like how the loyal primarchs don't trust each other.. but Sanguinius? How can you not trust him? He is trustability incarnate. They follow and trust him without question.
I wish I could listen to you narrating all the Horus Heresy books. :)
I think I've learned more from watching your videos than I have from online classes.
Roboute Guilliman: "I don't want to be Emperor, but I don't want Lion to be Emperor."
Lion El'Jonson: "Well, I don't want Roboute to be Emperor."
Sanguinius: "Brothers, stop fighting or so help me, I'll pull this car over and no one will go to Disneyland."
Roboute and Lion: "But I wanna be Emperor. *I WANNA I WANNA I WANNA!!!"*
It was a most pragmatic move, on the part of Papa Smurf - A symbol was needed; A symbol that inspired awe & wonder. For all his bad-assery Lion El'Johnson wasn't looked upon the way Sanguinius was. Feared and respected..? yes. But never looked upon w/awe. As for Papa Smurf..? He's the glue that holds things (in this case the Imperium) together - but he's not the actual symbol of it. Sanguinius..? could rightly be called the perfect symbol (barring Big-E, of course) for The Imperium.
...never thought I'd be handing out praises to Gulliman.
The Unremembered Empire was a great book, one of my favorites from the hersey series. Always thought the setting and idea was interesting, wish Abnett got to write a couple more in this setting. Had many great moments with 4 primarchs, great moments with all legions from space wolves to dark Angel's, thought the perpetual plot was good in this one too.
i think that refusing a title and position of power is the biggest show of character that the person in question is worthy of it and deserving.
Sanguinius refusing warmaster, most like emperor or other titles is the biggest evidence to me that he should have been warmaster from the beginning.
@Wolf Lord Rho Love the channel! You and Luetin09 really satisfy my love of 40K Lore. I was wondering if it'd be possible for you to make a playlist for the channel with all your videos from OLDEST to NEWEST? I love throwing on 40K lore stuff when doing my daily routine, so it'd be awesome to just throw on a giant, ever growing playlist of all your stuff. Once again, love the channel and keep up bringing the glory of the Emperor to us all!
I understand why it would be a bad idea to resurrect Sanguinius in the current 40k era...........but it would be soooooo cool!! You can't blame me for wanting to see it happen!
Man I love that books cover , the picture really brings the scene to life
Sanguinius is the representation of the Emperor no doubt. The only drawback to it would be the Inquisition. They will most likely doubt heavily whether he is real or chaos manifestation without actually seeing him.
Sanguinius I would say comes in at a close second when it comes to physical stature, but of course Vulkan comes in first in that regard.
Thanks Rho.
For me Sanguinius is glorious but he is not as much a leader as Guilliman is, who gets so much undeserved dislike. I think it has a lot to do with his stupid name, which should have been Princeptus Dole or something cause it’s hard to take Guilliman seriously when his name invokes the image of a freaking Murloc to my mind.
I think Sanguinius is a much better leader than Guilliman just because he is more inspiring and charismatic. However Guilliman is much better at administrating things and he is a better strategist in general. I do agree he gets a lot of undeserved hate mainly, in my opinion, because people thought that "cool guys hate on the Ultramarines and Guilliman because that is what cool guys do" just like how people keep saying that Dark Angels are all traitors and heretics, it was a joke and people took it seriously.
Sanguinius is a far more charismatic and inspiring. The fact guilliman is so misunderstood by his brothers show that he is not a better leader
Guilliman attract jealousy and bitterness whie sanguinius attract respect and admiration. Guys like The lion, fulgrim, angron etc would NEVER willingly follow guilliman.
Well, for me at least I had an issue with Ultramarines and by extension Guilliman thanks to Matt Ward. Though I'll admit I have changed my opinion since his ressurection in 40k. I certainly found new interest in both primarch and legion (chapter depending on time period) but I'm still Blood Angel first.
@@lukass2015 I understand you and you are right, however a lot of people kept that mindset even though Ward hasn't even been working for GW for a while and most of his horrible writing has been retconed out of existence like the sisters of battle paint incident or twisted back to something more acceptable. A lot of people didn't even cared for the Ultras or knew much about them before starting with the hate. I think it is great that you could change your mind from those terrible times
I read that book right after Vulkan Lives...man, Curze became 100% more of a cartoon supervillain, while Vulkan went full on into RIP AND TEAR mode. It was a bit jarring. But I did like the John Grammaticus bits. And still, Dan Abnett is the man.
EDIT: Oh yeah, and the Pharos beacon foreshadowing. If only they knew what they were playing with...
Richard The Chef funny enough I did the exact same thing, I started with the first 5 books and after Fulgrim I read Vulkan Lives followed by Unremembered Empire. My only regret was that I hadn’t read Know No Fear beforehand so Unremembered Empire referenced some events that was wasn’t fully aware of. Didn’t stop me from enjoying the book.
Phone begins dinging while I'm in chiropractor appointment. Hurry up doc I got a new video to watch...
I have always seen him as a vampire hiding the truth...
Perhaps, his corpse could be bathed in blood and he will be resurrected..
In the same way the emperor is sustained by souls...
See Sanguinius understands the weight and responsibilities of power, of being dubbed Emperor
He understands that the situation called for him to take up the title and although begrudgingly he accepts it and takes on the mantle for the sake of the Imperium, of mankind
Guilliman understands his role as a Buercrate and Statesmen
The Lion understands his role role of a warrior
But Sanguinius, Sanguinius understands his role as a leader when the time for leaders is most needed
I think he became Lord Regent (Imperator Regis), not actually a title of Emperor. While Guilliman became Lord Warden and Lion Lord Protector.
I’m a space wolf guy through and through but I’d back sanguinius as the emperor in a heart beat
Hi, sorry to ask an unrelated question but have you done a video about imperial knight freeblades?
I love your videos and I love that you're getting more subscribers! You definitely deserve it. Thanks for the hard work :-)
A new Wolf Lord Rho video. Today's a good day.
Love this book and I mean add Ferrus and Magnus and wow thats a hard to beat empire. Corax is the only other I could think to substitute. I look forward to your next video Rho
Awesome video, Wolf Lord! Keep it up with the after effects, the rose petals were a very nice touch.
And once again, like in Baal, Sanguinius is forced upon a pedestal, like a god.... poor man, he just want to be seen like a man, but it is hard to look at him and don't see an angel.
Much like the emperor it seems.
@@JGrim55 But the Emperor decided to parade around in golden armor, a halo and constantly emit the overwhelming desire for normals to bow down while featurings his powers in ways similar to that of angels and gods.
If he was trying to make himself more of an extremely intelligent man among men, I think he was doing it wrong.
I could listen to you do a whole book tbh and I’d love it
Guillimen is the truest bro out there; he never want to be emperor and knew that everyone wanted his winged brother to the emperor. Suck it Lion lovers this is how you don't destroy a empire
Zoomer Waffen now now, who still has a planet?
@Zoomer Waffen Have you read Ruinstorm? It is explained there what did the Ultramarines and Dark Angels were doing and why the Blood Angels got to Terra and they didn't. Admittedly tying up the traitor fleet so that the Blood Angels got a clear run to Terra has more merit than "I will go to the traitor's homeworlds and attack them so that they turn back from Terra" which didn't do much because the traitor Primarchs were on Terra anyway. A better use of the Tuchulcha Engine would be to attack the traitor fleet with pin point warp jumps while they were tied up by Guilliman's fleet, which was bigger than the Dark Angels’ one, and use the hammer and anvil manoeuvre with the precision and speed the Engine allowed them.
Zoomer Waffen yes he did force the codex Astartes on the other legions so they can understand that what happened in the Horus heresy mainly the tens of thousands legionnaires still out in the void dividing the other legions show that to the civilian population that they won't go down the same road a the chaos ilk,
Did you hear anything that was read they both agreed on sanguinous
thatyoungwhipersnapr yes I did but let be honest the Lion isn't a good to talk to planetary leader
My Lord Sanguinius, beloved by all
This is the best week ever !
The Unrememberd empire thats when the lion goes off on Guilliman for Declaring Emperius Segundas and rightfully so but is by one the good many of books you have the Lion ,Guilliman ,Konrad Kurz , and then you have Vulkan and then we ate given hints about the more insight on the 2 missing primarchs
Laughed at demented traitor, it's absolutely fitting for Curze.
It's so sad. If only the Emperor's Angel survived, he and guilliman could've created a strong Imperium together
How i am suppose to continue my paintings without listening your voice? I’ve already listen all your videos... maybe i will start all over once again!
This is why I think Sanguinius was never going to be Warmaster, even without any sort of 4D-chess premonitions on the Emperor's part. Each of the brothers were created to fill a specific role. Each of the 20 had a final plan for them after the galaxy was taken. Horus was to be the general, and Lion the strategist. Robute to be the administrator of the senate, Magnus to run the astronomicon, Ferrus, Dorn, and Peturabo were to be the heads of security (you would need three or more for an Empire so large). Look at each brother and you can see the role intended for them. Sanguinius, however, there is no obvious role until you realize he was created to be the Emperor's heir apparent. An icon for all of mankind to rally behind. A golden angel upon white wings to keep the light of hope alive no matter what threat arises.
That's certainly a theory that I can believe. What do you believe the roles of the ones you don't mention were to be?

Alpharius - Leader of a Secret Police /Inquisition like force keeping tabs on all legions to safe guard against heresy
Lorgar - Lead preacher of the imperial truth

Fulgrim - Patron of the arts and culture
Angron - The glue that kept all the brothers together thru comradery

Great video as always Rho!! I was wondering if you had heard about Erda from the new books and if you would be willing to do a video on her soon! Thanks for the great content!!
If the Brides of the Emperor ever saw Sanquinius. They might stop calling themselves the Brides of the Emperor. instead calling themselves the Brides of Sanguinius.
Fangs out for Papa Sang !!!
All hail the Angel!
All hail our most glorious Hawkboy!!! Ruler of the Secundas!!
Johnson is definitely most reminiscent of their father in the way he creates huge problems for everyone by being secretive, distrustful, prideful and somewhat bitter
Love learning about the primarchs pleas, for the love the Emperor due a series on Deathwatch, I'd love to hear your take!
Courage and Honour!
We all know Sanguinius should have been made Warmaster 😭
I also feel like Horus being named War master made everyone salty, but Sanguinous being made warmaster would be met with nothing but respect. After all, everyone loved Sanguinius.
Sanguinous didn't want the job. That is exactly why it had to be him.
So they agree to keep they're agreement hush hush but Sanguinious is decreed emperor infront of all Macragge???
I think it was only the Space Marines of their legions.
I think that Sanguinius is a bit jealous of the Khan since the Khan is a leader who is also free to do as he wishes because he remains so aloof. Sanguinius unfortunately does not have that option because everyone else holds him in such high regard that he cannot escape being placed on a pedestal; he's too popular for his own good. And as much as he wants to go his own way, he also feels the burden of everyone else looking to him for guidance and leadership (even his own brothers). In this moment of being crowned Regent/Emperor, he probably feels trapped in his role of figurehead when he'd rather be active on the field.
Congrats Sanguinius
Damn good video as always!
Who else saw the title and thought that Sanguinius had returned to 40k?
yep, "omg new lore.....noooo can't be"
Got to binge/catch up. Been some good stuff. #stillbitterididntgetmyPertboi
The only issue I have is excluding the remembrancers, if Guilliman has nothing to hide why exclude them? I get why the Lion didn’t have his but the Ultramarines?
Big thank you
Hey Wolf Lord, next week can we get an account of the Dark Angel's assualt on the Charnel Shrine?
Corax was the savvy, but not present.
Sanguinius was his spirit. Guilliman was his defended hearth and home, and the Lion was his unlost strength, honor, and fortitude. They honestly believed they could hold secundus in his name.
Did this take the Blood Angels aback. I mean they went from following the Primark to The "Emperor" directly. And did the legionaries Lord this over their cousins?
Sumthin Clever blood angels are one of the most caring and modest space marine bloodlines so I’d imagine them being pretty chill about it. 40k Chapters don’t count yet as a lot of them are crazy mofos 😉😂
Why would they? They never seeked glory just answer duty.
@@bryanaa196 I understand but there has to be at least some kind of puffing out the chest because of raising the Angel to Emperor. If not cool but then some in the other Legions must have been miffed.
Sumthin Clever they were uncomfortable about it like Sanguinius as there is only one true emperor. Sang feels extremely guilty about it prior to the siege.
Who was the Primarch that Lion’el said had been lost?
Christopher Paice I think he’s referring to Konrad he was fighting him before they spaced Konrad
Lord Inquisitor Ignis Uck yes ofc 😅 cheers
I think it's Vulkan, cause he made a separate comment about a demented brother on the planet referring to Curze
I believe the emperor knows about this and that's why he had vulkan make the device that would destroy Terra if horus did win the seige on Terra because he knew that the empire would live on with his loyal sons on Ultramar
For those of us who are not completely current on all 40k lore it would help if these stories gave a bit of context (i.e. when this is happening and a tiny bit of what is going on/at stake).
Imagine "Star Wars" starting with, "Luke, I am your father" but you have zero clue why that is important.
We all know the Lion is the best. First legion ftw.
Sanguinius on the picture looks like he doesn't want to be emperor
He didn't that was why they choose him.
Ah yes, the Unremembered Empire. Great book, added spice to my hatred of worthless Lion Fail Johnson.
Also shows what will happen when the Lion does return in 40k. This but without the Angels interference simply by being there and having wings.
Third Space Marine faction... As soon as GW stop coming up with new ways to make tall marines.
The Three Amigos
Physically speaking, it is stated in the books that Lorgar is the image of the Emperor of Mankind
