I haven't experienced a lot of Sprinbank, but I did pick this up at TW for $130.. Looking forward to opening this, great score. Big fan of oloroso. Great review.
Absolutely! We were both very surprised at how good it is as well as other 2022 bottlings from Springbank that had seemed to be tapering off a bit in quality over the past few years. And of course the profile matches my taste in modern whisky almost perfectly. Cheers! 🥃
Excellent review Mike. I really wish I liked this expression more than I do but quiet honestly I can take it or leave it. It's hard to find like all Springbank these days but it wasn't long ago that the 15 would sit on the shelves in a sad way like the last person to be picked when you chose football sides when we were kids. It was by far the least popular Springbank. I think, if I remember correctly, it carried a hint of sulphur as well which I'm not fond of. Mind you, I've had sulphured Springbank 18 and Longrow 18 in the past. Cheers.
Absolutely WT! The 15 was the redheaded stepchild of Springbank it seemed forever while the 12 CS was the darling but now sadly with demand and the current market, the 15 finally is getting picked for a team as is all Longrow and Hazelburn. Soon it will be hard to find Longrow Peated I fear and then what is next? Begging for 4th (last) choice Glen Scotia hence the unlikely winner of the OSWAs this year for “best scotch in the world?” Really? @@maltreviews Yeah, that OSWA choice was very weird for this hombre. We're getting down to chasing Campbelltown Loch which isn't even Springbank but a vatting of all Campbelltown expressions (it's young too). Seriously Mike, over hear in the U.K (not so bad in Scotland) it's almost impossible to find anything from the distillery unless you visit the freaking place. I know they are extremely popular but I honestly think their distribution policy is a mess. You can't sell to everywhere without thinning so much that retailers get only a couple of bottles. Nobody is happy right now except the distillery.
My local store has three bottles at 168.00 plus tax? Undecided! It’s hard for me to get that many flavors out of a ten course meal! Not sure how you guys get so much? Master distillers say you only get 3-5 things usually. I guess my nose and pallet are weak at only a year into my journey:) nice review!
tell Narby that Remedy is having a Bruichladdich tasting on Dec. 2. They are tasting through the new 2022 vintages from Bruichladdich to Octomore. Should be a good tasting

Can you help me out with a recommendation? I'm looking for that old dusty bookstore note. It was in the springbank 15 I had 2 years ago, the previous bottling of the glengoyne 18 and the older glendronach 15 revival. Looking to spend between 80 - 180 euros
Tough for that price. Best bets are Bunna 18, the Bunna 12 Cask Strength 2022, and Glendronach 21 Parliament 2022, which is actually 28 year old juice if you can find it for €180 or under. Good luck and cheers! 🥃
Depending on where you live, this just came to Cali a few weeks ago. Usually, they release a few batches of this a year to various UK major online retailers. Gotta be quick though on UK time. Of course Springbank is notorious for not having the best distribution worldwide. All depends on your market unless you can be quick to UK and they ship to you of course. Cheers! 🥃

Opened my 2019 bottle recently. It was another dark one too but plenty of Springbankeyness. Love the 15. Cheers
