Love the enthusiasm. Just back two days ago and you take the luck when you get it (2x15). No ten or fifteen for us however we had good luck with the afternoon random visit to the shop and the cage filled before our eyes. 👍
Loved your enthusiasm about your trip to Campbeltown. It’s an epic experience and every I go I get the same buzz. Springbank holds a special place in our hearts. Love the stuff they produce and their work ethics is second to none.
It really is a fantastic place! Everyone really loves their whisky and are more than happy to talk about it - it's such a fuller experience than any other distillery I've been to. Cheers!
What a refreshing take you give, im from yorkshire and recently found my way into drink bourbon due to watching hunts of creators over there. To see a UK version is awesome, keep up the great content!
Myself and a pal visited Cambeltown in April, its such a friendly place and of course the whisky is amazing. Looking forward to going back. The Cadenheads warehouse tasting is a must!
When the cage options are limited the demijohns (handfills) are exceptional - and because they're effectively infinity bottlings they're super interesting. A cask strength SB - full 70cls had just risen to £60.
The price on the full bottles is certainly a bargain! Interestingly I've done a side-by-side with the handfill from this video and the Springbank 10 in an upcoming video - very interesting result! Cheers
Nice one!! I was lucky to visit Springbank & Glen Scotia this year. Got there early with probably 15-20 persons ahead of me in the que. No regular bottels left anymore. Like you mentioned yourself: people leaving with boxes. I mamaged to get two cage bottles (Kilkerran & a Longrow). No Springbanks as they were also taken out first. Like yourself we went on to Whisky West coast and they did have the regular Springbanks on the shelf. 10, 15 & the 18 but too expensive. Nice guy though! Need to go back again! . Cheers & keep the vid's coming!
Cheers! Yeah it's bonkers how they sell out so quickly but such is the demand I guess. I would've felt worse about the two bottles of Fifteen had I not seen what others were doing earlier in the day. Enjoy the Kilkerran and Longrow, they'll be brilliant!
I made the pilgrimage to campbeltown the week before yourself. Amazing experience and you cant help but get carried away 😂. The Glen Scotia bourbon cask distillery exclusive is 👌
I'm very glad to hear it! I really want to get that in to another video soon - just debating on how best to do so given it's not exactly easily available. Maybe a Campbeltown special live stream needs to be in the work. Cheers!
Hi sir Just watched your video on springbank, I'm new to your channel, and loved what I seen, I just hope you stay on scotch because that's what peeks my interest, cheers sir, I personally have about 9 bottles of different springbanks, from the 10year old too the 21year olds, cheers brother and keep up the great reviews !!!
Thank you Sir! Appreciate the comment! Sounds like you have an exceptional collection. Scotch content will keep on coming as I spend around a month each year in Scotland! I’m actually back there again now, I’ve picked up a couple of Ben Nevis distillery bottles and I’m off to Ardurmurchan tomorrow! Cheers!
@TheCrumbyBeard Hi sir I have a couple of bottles of ardnurmurcan, I really enjoy there whisky, young but very tasty, FYI I bought a bottle of kingsbarn a little while back, the sherry bottle, non chill filtered, natural color, and it's about 6 years old, if you can find one, it's really nice scotch, keep it up the great reviews, look forward to your next review, cheers brother !!!
Hey amazing hunting and finds! This would be impossible in many places including Vancouver, Canada where I live. I'd love to be near these sources regularly for delicious Single Malt Scotch - which I absolutely adore!! It's a love - in healthy moderation! I love the Glen Scotia 15 and the Victoriana! Peat is my preference!! The Springbank 15 and 18 are amazing!! Delicious! The Campbelltown Loch isn't bad. I love Campbelltown and Islay. Terrific video! Cheers! :-)
Thank you! I'm glad you liked it. Review of the Campbeltown Loch coming soon - though I must say, I agree - certainly not bad - however, it's not a consistent blend. I picked up a sample from a much earlier bottle and put them head-to-head in my video. Wild difference!
It's always nice to get a unicorn bottle Tom, one to cross off your wanted list but if you're anything like me you'll just add another one to it now anyway, lol.
Love it…great video glad you managed tae pick up the 15 yr old yer was after….kinda glad I prefer younger whiskies tried the 15 and few others and the longrow pleated came out top fir me and the living cask…think the living cask because it’s younger whisky with odd 10’s 15’ s and older bottles added…moved tae Loch Fyne last year so quite close tae Springbank and Glen Scotia…picked up the same Glen Scotia bottling as you did the George hotel in Inveraray had a barrel of it same cask and managed tae get a bottle which I’m looking forward to…can tell you it’s nice as tried it in the George got a great selection…might want to have a look in the whisky shop in Inveraray next time passing through have some good stuff picked up a 20cl of Glen Scotia 15 at a good price…and thanks fir the mention in previous review of the whisky shop in Tarbert…picked up a few of those Islay ales smoked stout lovely beer fae there !
Cracking video. I would love to go to the Springbank Distillery. I've only ever tried the 10 due to availability, and that's stunning, so would love to try some others. I agree with the Victoriana. Its a gorgeous dram. One of my favourites. You'll love it. Shame its only a miniature, as the bottle opens up superbly after you pass the shoulder.
I'll make sure to let it breathe properly then! I'm sure I'll acquire a full bottle one day. You wouldn't believe it, but a few days ago I went to a bar in Nottingham with a decent whisky selection, and what's sat on the shelf a Springbank 15! I couldn't help but laugh, typical ey! Decided against paying an obscene amount for a single pour of something I'd got and went for a Redbreast 15 instead - consider that added to the wishlist too! Cheers!
@@TheCrumbyBeard I think I would have to bite the bullet and pay for that dram of Springbank 15, having never tried it before. Enjoy your 2 bottles Crumby. I'm more than sure you will! Looking forward to these upcoming reviews......👍
My guess will be Tennessee Distillers Co. if it doesn't remind you off JD or Dickel they have been sourced by UK shops before, could be a little over-oaked so good luck with that one. Cheers😉
Right, I'm blaming you and this video for my own recent whisky splurge. I'd been tempted for some time but after watching this, I thought "what the heck". By way of reimbursement, I'll accept cheque or bank transfer.
😂😂 Unfortunately reparations for overzealous whisky purchases are currently unavailable (due to our own ongoing irresponsible purchases), however a continuing stream of whisky content will be available 😂🥃
@@TheCrumbyBeard 😆 7 bottles, including a revisit to Wild Turkey 101. A couple of spares of things I already have in my stash and the 12 year old version of GlenAllachie moscatel cask to compare to the 11 year old I've got. The one I'm really looking forward to is my first Craigellichie. I can't justify paying for the 17 year old so I went fort eh 13. Butshould be pretty good.
For the quality of what they produce, Springbank's prices are very reasonable if you can get them at RRP. The cost on the secondary market makes them maybe not such a great buy. Cheers!
I had a bottle of the Springbank 15 a couple of years ago. It's very good but very different from the ten and not that much better. Certainly not as good value, considering the price difference.

Thank you Sir!
sounds like your intentions are good , don’t waste time on fret 15s . They’ll make more
Cheers 🥃
Haha they will, but chances of getting one at retail price is slim!
4 years ago, i brought 2 Bottles SB15 for 60€. Now they ask crazy money for it in Germany.
It’s the same here! The distillery shop sell SB15 for £72 which isn’t a crazy increase. But easily £250+ if you were to ever see it on the shelf.
@@TheCrumbyBeard In Germany you can get one for 120€ If you are lucky.
