This video is so much fun. I love it. Roy looks so happy here. I always saw him as a serious person besides being a musical genius, and it’s good to see him having such a blast while filming this clip. I was lucky to see him in person while he was touring in the 1970’s and 80’s, and every now and then I would see him and his brother Sammy selling records in the lobby before and after the shows. Always enjoyed talking with him for a brief second or two while he was autographing my LP’s.
Simpler times. No one even paid attention to the fact that despite the only instrument was an acoustic guitar yet there is an entire orchestration of musical instruments going. They just enjoyed it for what it was. I miss that show.
Yeah, well, you're really supposed to be appreciating the fact that there's Roy singing and not necessarily the background music.Besides he got Daisy's hug and KISS for it, what man'd ask for more?
your right in saying that there will be only one roy orbison he was one of the greatest singers and he seemed to be one the nicest men going even through the tragedys in his life
When our son was growing up, "The Dukes of Hazzard" was his most beloved television show. Homework, baths, bedtime, lunch boxes, birthday parties....EVERYTHING revolved around the "Dukes"! And I'm a big Roy Orbison fan. All that being said, why do I not remember this particular episode???? And Boss Hoggs "Celebrity speed trap"? What a treat this was! THANK YOU FOR POSTING!
Dad, is that you? This sounds almost exactly like my childhood! If you were to add my pop's Quaalude addiction and being beaten over the head nightly with the "kitchen" phone. I did say "almost".
Catherine Bach has said this is one special memory she has of the show when Roy sings this song to her. You can see her enjoying every minute of it, especially at 0:59 seconds when he looks at her.
One of my favorite songs of 60s or 50s, whichever it was written great song Roy Orbison was gone far too soon he will always be remembered as one of the great ones
Oh ha ha ha thanks for posting this video I used to watch the dukes of hazard all the time when I was growing up I don't remember seeing this episode RIP Roy what a champion
I appreciate and love all of music I have been listening to all of the songs I singing along with. I'm appreciate you for sharing excellent videos music with me.

No one on the set knew this but she REALLY did like Roy Orbison! And when she found out he was going to be on the show and she would be sitting right next to him….
Love how Roy gets a full band from a lone guitar! I'm sure he did a great job if we were there, in person, to enjoy it.
Perhaps the best, iconic and sweetest scene from "The Dukes of Hazzard". Trouble is, we no longer make shows or scenes this good.
Those days have long gone.
The woke crowd would have a field day, starting with the flag on the roof of the General Lee.
It’s all because of the modern day followers of the philosophies of Karl Marx and Lenin!
Daisy Duke and Roy Orbison such a wonderful example of good for your ears and eyes.
your right daisy got to be one of the prettiest girls in the world
Tes
Especially daisy
How lucky can Daisy get? I'm just sayin' One of the best voices ever!
I had a buddy who said he could relate to this. Being forced to stay! And yes. He is a guitarist!
Daisy Duke aged horribly
Bring me a time machine ...pleaseeee!
This is something else, I've never imagined this before.

Gosh! I miss these people. They were great.
Such a GREAT song !!!! Love the Dukes too , especially miss Daisy !
Looks like everybody was really having a good time, especially Roy :)
Woah! Roy Orbison AND The Dukes of Hazzard! :-)

charles gebhart she loved it!
Strangely sounds like the guitars were overdubbed with acoustic.
Drums and piano could be just offstage.
Yea, was just thinking that too....lol
your right in saying that there will be only one roy orbison he was one of the greatest singers and he seemed to be one the nicest men going even through the tragedys in his life
My goodness what a blessed singer; his whole life. Heaven's blessed by his singing. Indeed.
can you imagine what a honor it must have to been to do this scene with Roy. If i was a actor I would have been so tongue tied during this scene

Grrraaaww 😎🎸 2020 y sigue siendo un gran tema
There's something special about this video & Jesse Duke agrees.
And the next song sung was “PISTOLERO” from Roy’s only attempt at making movies, “THE FASTEST GUITAR ALIVE” from 1967 by MGM!
Nunca había visto esta escena genial Catherine emocionada con roy a su lado y con este gran tema
If only this song had been used in just good a number of episodes of the classic 1979-81 NBC action adventure comedy series “BJ & THE BEAR”?!
I have watched this many times!
My ideal combination, Catherine Bach and the wonderful tones of Roy Orbison !
great video!
Elle aussi adore son miaulement...j en raffole!
C est son piège à filles!!!!....
Il est beau quand il sourit, c est si rare....

In the HALL OF FAME of our minds. Isn't it he most important?
You can really tell Catherine Bach is actually star struck and humbled being sung to by the great Roy Orbison.

Who wouldn't feel that way sitting next to Roy while he sing the song what woman wouldn't
I’d literally melt. I’d be just like her if he would’ve sung to me🫠🫠🫠
I read where Roy wore those iconic glasses to cut down on distractions and concentrate on the music.
Classic 😎
