Gotcha there my friend but we're on the same page! 60th Anniversary coming fast, through thick and thin and getting drafted after college and going the Army flight school and crashing 3 loaches on 1 tour. A record that still stands for the flying egg. I loved motorcycles and muscle cars and the loach made sense

Fun fact: when Roy Orbison came to my hometown on tour, my grandmother was young then and rushed the stage. Security caught her, and instead of kicking her out, Roy Orbison signed an autograph for her and was super nice. She still has the signed picture decades later. Thank you, Roy Orbison, for being nice to my crazy fan girl grandma. ❤️

Am only 56 but very much hope to still be listening to my "natal music" even in my 80s and if I last that long, my 90s. Why? B/c truly the best music is timeless and the 60s and 70s produced more timeless music perhaps than any other era in history. (It doesn't hurt this era that we have modern recording equipment though.) Anyway, today's music can't begin to compete w/ the Golden Age stuff. I'll keep listening to it til I drop dead!

When Roy sang "Pretty Woman", the booming voice, guitar, drums, and music literally went right through us and gave us shivers. We looked at each other and could not help but smile!

Roy Orbison was truly a rare talent. His range was, and is still untouched today. It's rare to have a male vocalist hit such high notes, yet can also do wonders to the low notes. He did it with such force, such power, but the best of all, such clarity that his music will live on for thousands of years unsurpassed. What still amazes me since the first I've heard his music until today is, he did it with ease. It's incredible. His voice is unmatched even today..!!

♥✞♥The Resurrection of Christ. It is the core of our Christian belief. It is not that Christ went to the Cross or that He died and was buried in a borrowed tomb that is the crux of our faith. It is His glorious resurrection. Without it, there would be no Christianity. He would be another dead prophet. But the fact that He was raised from the dead...THAT is the foundation of our faith. That is where our hope comes from. It doesn't matter what our circumstances--Jesus was resurrected. It doesn't matter who has left our lives or how many times we have failed--Jesus was resurrected. When we base our faith on that fact, it doesn't matter what is going on in our lives, our faith doesn't falter because that fact never changes. Jesus was resurrected from the dead, and therein lies the faith of the Christian believer.♥✞♥✞♥
