I put that sh*t on everything!!! One use you missed was to find a leak in a tire....we use it for pressure testing our hydraulic tanks. Works better than anything else I've found.
I know I'm late to this party.. Good job! Looks nice! I just did my '41 we just bought.. I used Simple Green HD Cleaner.. and a pressure washer.. No scrubbing involved!
Roger that must be some really good stuff cleaned that old tractor right up. I was just noticing grease on the 5045e yesterday may have to get me some Super Clean. Take care brother.
Yes, it is. If I would have used a pressure washer, I may have not even needed to brush it. I chose to use a brush, because not everyone has a pressure washer. If you have light grease, you may want to reduce it or don't let it set too long. Have a good week!
Great video roger! Love these types of videos. I usually use WD-40 in light grease as it’s safe on paint and really does well cleaning up after a grease job. I’ll have to check out this stuff you advertised here next time I have some real dry and thick grease and see how I like it 👍🏻 PS. Just make sure not to leave the degreaser sit too long on the paint before washing it off as it can remove some of the paint. We have a Commerical degreaser at work and I made that mistake on one of our zero turns and it left lighter colored streaks in the paint as it sat there a bit too long. Though with your application and rinsing process I don’t see an issue.
I use WD40 around the loader pins and also to remove the diesel soot from the loader. Yes, if it is left sitting too long it will dull paint. I discovered after cleaning this tractor that it has been painted at least 3 times. Lol, you can see each layer of paint in places.
I needed something to clean my charcoal barbecue but this would also be amazing in the kitchen like above the stove where it gets all gross on the cabinets! Thanks!
Whats the next step before paint/primer? I have same tractor but about quarter inch of grease/dirt on it to remove. i'm scared that all the leaks will start up once the cakes are removed
@@TractorTech I've gotten to the point where I use my pressure washer first but it often leaves a little grease behind. I then use a degreaser. I learned in the 1960s to clean everything before starting to do any opening up of an engine. Otherwise stuff falls in. Good Luck, Rick
@@richardross7219 Yeah, I know what you are talking about. My wood splitter makes a mess on itself when I drain the oil. I have used the pressure washer and degreaser after like you mentioned. I still have a residue and dust sticks to it. I used Super Clean on this area and the dust never came back, and the splitter has been used 12 hours since then.
I’ve got an awesome cb radio that has gunk and grease hardened on but the thing is you can tell the black paint and body’s is still in amazing condition. Anyone ever had a similar issue and how did you solve it? I’m obviously not going to use a metal bristle brush lol.
Great stuff Roger ! Appreciate you sharing with us !! I have heard oven cleaner does good on cleaning grease off . But I don't know if it works because I have never tried it ! Be safe my friend and God bless you and yours !!!!!! Eddy
We used to use oven cleaner to clean something like (inside)valve covers or an oil pan when replacing the engine with a reman engine. It worked okay but that was years ago on older engines. The oil was not as good back then and really sludged and got backed on hard. The problem with oven cleaner is that stuff will kill you if you breath the odor from it. I have a dirty oil pan. Maybe sometime I could do a super clean vs oven cleaner shoot out.

I'll have to remember that it works good for finding a leak in a tire.

Super clean is very good stuff! I also like LA Awesome that I can pick up and my local dollar general.

Good real world product demo. Ill be going to Wally mart to get some!
Old tractors are cool 😎
Thanks! It is in the automotive section at walmart.

Thanks for the info man. I’m about to do the same to my old truck while the engine is out.
Your welcome. Super clean works great. Walmart has it in the automotive section.

Appreciate your presentations. Very useful. Thanks!
Thanks Alain! Glad you like them!
Thanks Roger. I haven't heard of it before but will keep an eye out for it. Thanks for the demo - looks like it works great! Cheers!
It is a good cleaner to have around the house. Have a good week!
Best I have found too. I buy the 2-1/2 gallon refill.
Yes, it is really good.
That long bristled brush looks to work very well. I haven’t yet found what it’s called or where to buy it
It is a parts cleaning brush.
Good evening Sir 😊 That tractor is going to be like a brand new one once your fixe it !!! 😊👍Cheers !!!
Close to it. Last year the engine got freshend up. Now this. Have a good week.
@@TractorTech 👍😊
Thanks Roger toger 😂😂😂 great video 🤣🤣🤣
Product did a great job, tractor already looks better.
Yes it did. Once I got the grime off I discovered it had been painted at least 3 times.
I use regular diesel fuel with a brush. works great also. And it is cheaper since diesel at the gas station only cost $3.98 per gallon.
No such thing as "way too easy". I'll have to try it on my 71 Ford. Good Luck, Rick
Rick, it was way easier than degreaser's I have used in the past.

I use that stuff all the time. It works great.
Yes it does! Thanks for the support!
That does an amazing job. It'd be great if it was available in the land down under.
Yeah it work great. Too bad it is not available in Australia.
Thank you

Try WD40 and a cloth.
@@TractorTech ok, thank you!
Going to do mine now. Your hand pumping gets slower and slower as you pump. Haha! Thanks for making this vid. Why not the engine or pump?
Yeah, my hand got tired.
Acrylic thinners ripps everything off, good for carburetors.
Oh yeah
in the uk we use "gunk" engine degreaser...
Gunk works pretty good but it is costly. This is $6 a gallon.
@@TractorTech Wow, I paid £10 for a litre of Gunk.. thats a good saving wonder if there is a uK equivalent..
Does it work on chrome axle
Yes
U ever use simple green?
Yes I have. It is pretty weak in comparison the other cleaners I have used. I also don't care for the smell of it.
Best thing to since you have everything is opened I would just pressure wash it

What’s the name of product
Super Clean
Poke a hole in a ziplock. Pull over the shifter and secure with tape. Will keep water out. But if you drain...doesn't matter
It is not the shifter. It is everything. We hooked a smoke machine to an 8n one time to see where the water was getting in. Smoke came out everywhere.
Purple power! the best way to ruin paint and accelerate corrosion.
Turns out muriatic acid is bad for paint😮 whoda thunk?
Da glove and glasses -whooaa -Kind of remind me of Michael Jackson.
That reminds me, I need to order gloves. lol
Diesel is the best :) brush it on spray it off.
Cut the bristles in half and it works better IMHP.
I'll try that sometime.
Get gas and clean it ,nothing like gas.
Gas is not safe to use as a cleaner.
@@TractorTech Gas is safe if you take the battery off and do not smoke when you are doing it , I am doing it for 30 years nothing like it.
Purple power is 100% better
I disagree.
That and a pressure washer
I think yer tractors sexy 😜
