I think product testing is definitely the way to go. You've saved so many people so much money. And we are grateful
Branching out is ok, but only if it is in addition to the product testing.
@@patd2765 yes
I know I keep coming back to see what windshield wipers to get😂.
I agree, there's enough channels out there that do that other stuff. You are the only one who does real world honest testing.
@@patd2765 a separate channel is definitely the way to go for branching out; mixing those videos here would definitely dilute the value that nearly 3 million subscribers are interested in.
Everybody's saying stick to product testing, that's great but don't burn Todd out. We all have to have some fun occasionally and that helps avoid burnout.
Exactly.
Burn out is real. Don't let it happen.
Yea, but you don't have to video it and change the direction of what has worked. Have all the fun you want, but stick to the core thing.
@@blueline308 yeah but when your a UA-camr you don't want to spend time doing projects that you don't post, because that would cause a huge gap in upload schedule. I face the same thing, imagine if he does the diesel project and it takes two weeks and costs $8k, then that's two weeks and $8K which is now a deficit towards your channel. Most UA-camrs are their channel, it's bittersweet but part of the game, it starts to get to you.
@@RICHat22 it definitely is... Things start getting to you, start driving you nuts.
Honestly there is NO other channel or person doing what you're doing, as effective as you are. I literally trust no one else's analysis more than yours. As long as you don't stop the reviews, I'd love to see anything that you create.
Thanks!
That's exactly how I feel about it
Exactly how I feel. I may watch some other things you do, but the only engine parts one I watch is engine masters. Please keep up the product reviews.
I'd say stick with reviews because I want more! If anything you could branch out into other style reviews or comparisons. Even electronics, or household products. I would watch any kind of reviews you put out.
spot on- I have not seen anyone on the youtubes as through and not pushing for one particular product. It truly is impressive, incredibly helpful. I would not mind additional topic/projects as long as you keep the reviews. They are just spot on-
Product testing for sure is the most important thing you can contribute to the community . I have purchased several tools that you have tested and find them superior to the common brands that are available. You are reaching the broadest range of homeowner/DIYers that will, in turn, support your efforts. The engineering approach to qualifying products is always lacking; you are providing a valuable service. Thank you!
Thanks Thanks! for sharing!
I love that you decided to start doing everyday home goods as well... This is going to help save money and headaches for day-to-day life.
Thank you!! I definitely want to help everyone save money!!
@@ProjectFarmDefinitely appreciate that! 😎✌️
Do what you want to do! We'll be right here!@@ProjectFarm
I can see myself referring to these videos for a good time to come.
@@ProjectFarm those products are made for mildew. Why would you test them on mildew?
Your product testing is unlike anything else on UA-cam, with your care and obsessive making sure all factors are as equal as possible. Thanks!
Thanks and you are welcome!
You didn't even bother to tell us if each product was solvent, acid, alkaline, salt based. I'd still wager that clothes washing powder beats all these products
@@janeblogs324 Every degreaser that I've dealt with has been alkaline, some strongly enough that they will damage aluminum parts. It would indeed be useful to know the ph of each of the products tested, but that information can probably be gotten from the manufacture.
@@James1095yes, most are alkaline. Super Clean even specifically states it can corrode/etch aluminum. Simple Green Pro HD, the purple stuff is like the WD 40 specialist and specifically formulated to be safe on all metals.
The amount of work you put in to this video is amazing. Thanks
One of the most informative UA-camrs. Thanks for all your videos. To the point & no BS. GREAT JOB AS USUAL!
Honest and unbiased product's reviews are very rare nowadays. Your channel is a rare gem 💎
Keep doing what you are doing.
Thanks, will do!
@@ProjectFarm Would love to see a transmission rebuilt, something relatable like we might own. But as usual, the complete process, showing the transmission working well in the vehicle again. Same for engines, and even testing other kinds of products and seeing if they are as good as they claim. Love the product reviews, they really help. What if you tested upgrades on an engine and see if they yield the power increase that the company claims?
@@enermaxstephens1051 Richard Holdener would be pretty tough to beat in that dept.
@@BLKMGK4 Easy enough if you don't do the same things he does. Or you did it on different vehicles. For example, who would do things like that to an old RV? Or an old farm ranger? And you could do things they wouldn't expect: Here's how a underhood light turns out on your old junk ranger.
Or even fix up the old junk ranger. People wouldn't really expect that, they expect it to be ran into the ground until dead and then scrapped. They wouldn't expect him to start fixing the body and any rust and making it nicer. Even if it will still be used on a farm.
I, for one, think that this channel should continue to review, compare, & test products that viewers suggest. However, doing other things like engine upgrades, transmission rebuilding, equipment maintenance, etc...should be added to ProjectFarm's content occasionally, based on the needs of the farm. If you need to do a project around the farm, making videos showing the start-to-finish process & methods may be of benefit for DIYers.
A lot of channels will make a secondary channel for this reason, that way the ppl who come here to watch product reviews dont complain about the farm related content.
@@gaveintothedarkness I feel like doing a second video on like Wednesday or Thursday about the extracurriculars would be fine and having the sunday videos be lovely product comparisons.
@@billythygoat agreed
@@gaveintothedarknessOther channels I follow say that recommendations (UA-cam algorithm) works better when not mixing content.
Keep it the same
Love this channel for your unbiased and real world testing. Use your results for many everyday purchases and recommendations to others. Keep up the great work!
Product testing is your Call-In-Life ... I am grateful to other broadcasters for their guidance, but you, by far, consistently bring more items to compare! Thank you for your efforts.
Don't change from doing product testing, but I always love watching people build, or fix stuff, using a very logical slow approach with great explanations of why you're doing that next step
Unbiased product reviews are very hard to come by and the technical approach to evaluation blows away most other reviewers. Please continue.
when I want to compare products and i see youve done it i jump into watching. you give a trustworthy feeling.
Super Clean is the automotive industry favorite. Everyone is using that stuff. Great product
Thanks for the feedback.
I've used Super Clean on the valve cover, oil pan when I rebuilt an engine. On aluminum parts you have to wash and rinse it quickly or it'll etch it.
@@dc5723yes, the corrosion/etching is the problem with it. A few years ago when UA-camrs were hyping it for automotive use they said it was safe on all metals. Now SC has a specific warning about that it’s not safe for it. Because of that I’ve gone back to Simple Green Pro HD, the purple one. It’s specifically formulated to be safe on all metal.

@@seashackf1 you said it yourself. "It can" etch aluminum. Don't allow that to happen and the SC is the best.
I tend to prefer the product testing. I have a lot of channels I watch that do good builds, but *nobody* else does tests as realistic, broad-subject and reliable as yours! I've used your testing for a *lot* of purchases!
I think he is running out of things to test. And he also might just want to make different content in between the product testing.
Rarely comment on videos, but I wanted to say that your tests and processes are very appreciated out here. As far as sticking to tests or do other things, I say do both! It's important to enjoy what you do, and if by adding some "different" videos helps you keep enjoying what you do and help to keep the rest of us informed, that's a win-win combination in my book!

Dawn's purple-colored professional degreaser is amazing. It's like the best of dawn and industrial degreaser in one. Food-contact surface safe too.
Thank for the feedback.
I agree.
I've been using that stuff on everything.
It cleans dishes fast and easy. And they sparkle when you finish.
You can even use it on your pants and shirts.
Love your channel and all the hard work you put into it. I hope that you will continue. I think it can be said that you are everything Consumer reports need to be.
Thanks!
We love the idea that you want to go bigger and better but the DIY comparisons and real world unbiased testing makes a huge difference for us consumers and even people working professionally who simply want the best tool for the job.
Keep up the great work
Thanks! Thanks for your feedback!
as someone who grew up poor, my whole life I've been worried about wasting money on a product where all i had to go off of was the manufacturers words. you literally save me not only money, but precious days of my life. keep these coming! i would like to see videos on kitchen/household electronics like crock pots, mini fridges, phone chargers, robot vacuums?
Especially for stuff like this where there are so many options. I have probably three or four different types of degreaser at home and I couldn't tell you if any of them work better than any other. Having someone who's able to test all the popular options back to back is extremely helpful

@@ProjectFarmHave you thought about doing a Diesel Heater video?
There's a wide range of units going from +$1200 to as low as $89. I know a lot of people use these on their RV/Camper vans. People are putting a lot of trust in these without knowing if they are safe.
Not only that but is spending $1200 really getting you something better than the $100 version?
Thanks for making your videos and working hard to keep them unbiased.
Keep them coming!!!
Robot vacuums, YES!
Keep doing what you are doing. I watch every episode even if I don’t currently need the products. Many times I check your channel before shopping because you’re spot on
You are the best at what you are doing and the way you do it.
Unbiased testing and recommendations.
More people will be benefiting from your channel the way it is now than changing to do some mechanical tear down and repairs. Who knows what % of viewers are mechanically inclined or capable to do some of that work. That would leave a HUGE amount of people out of the benefits they have now.
Keep up the good work.
Can we take a moment to admire and appreciate the foresight and selflessness of this man to specifically cultivate the mildew on this stretch of siding for years just to do this video.
Top notch content as always thank you!
Thanks and you are welcome!
His wife has been nagging for years to clean it.
Use pool shock to clean the siding mildew. 4:1 and a touch of dawn.
@Okurka. I picture his wife being just as enthralled in testing as him!!!
Keep doing what you're doing. Watching an engine rebuild isn't going to help me decide where I should be spending my money. You're content is what keeps me coming back for more.
Thanks for the feedback.
@@ProjectFarm You need a B channel for other stuff. Call it project garage.
Not true, he could tell you that too.

With the level of detail and thought you put into your videos, I would absolutely watch you rebuild a transmission and perform performance upgrades to an engine. I vote to expand your channel.
Thanks for your opinion.
As a mechanic I would enjoying watching mechanic work videos from you. But really I would probably watch just about any content you make. The videos are great and the product testing is extremely informative.

I love your product tests and will tune in and watch every week even it the product isn't on my radar, but it must be hard to keep producing a weekly show when you've reviewed so many of the "big" items. You're almost a 3M subs, and that's substantial.
I appreciate your:
humility,
fairness,
no Rock&Roll intro with lightning and thunder,
no CONSTANT "merch, patreon, etc",
no tough-guy loudmouth attitude,
you make your own testing rigs and your shop isn't Internet Fancy,
no sponsors. (I'll bet they're beating down your door!)
I could go on and on.
Quite a few of my tool purchases were inspired by your videos and I hope clicking your links helps.
Some UA-camrs make another channel so as to not dilute the main one and risk losing subs.
Perhaps "Project Farm Builds:" or whatever where you could do side projects?
In the meantime it wouldn't be unreasonable to revisit and re-review some of the older tools as the specs may have changed or you could include other brands.
Nice to see this week total product cost under $200!
I think a lot of us will tune in no matter what you do.

product testing are definitely the bread and butter. But when you make videos of other things simply for your own enjoyment or curiosity, they are fun to watch and I enjoy them! they are fun to have in the mix occasionally.
Thanks for your feedback!
YES to continued product testing! Your methods are impeccable and very detailed. Maybe Consumer Reports can learn a few things from your methodologies. It would be nice to have you update some of your older tests with newer ones, as the market shifts every few years.
I agree, Consumer Reports is bought and paid for. The last straw was when recently they gave a stellar reliability rating to BMW, the most overpriced, break down prone pile of junk vehicle brand sold.
You definitely are already the best at what you already do so why not keep doing what you do best? I am into refinishing guns and would like to see you test all the different brands of bluing solutions, cold blue including Oxpho by Brownell. Make sure you test all with parts totally cleaned and degreased and also with parts not totally cleaned of rust and oil.b Also show totally wahed and dried nut without oiling parts etc.. Thank Bob Jones😊
I did like the Star shifter I installed in my 68 Nova/ Chevy II SS. Their transmission reprogramming kits were a joke. I put one in a turbo 350 that was in my first Chevy Nova. It was a 69 with a non performance THM 350 behind a 350 c.i.d. with a 2 bbl. Carb. The crisper shifts were very underwhelming! Then got into the transmission industry and found out what a SK green box kit for about $8 could do! Little bump on a shift, versus barking the tires and leaving 6 foot rubber fish hooks behind you on a 1-2 shift!
You are the God of product testing.
You are the Master/Guru of product testing!
I am sure any branching out to your other passions will be awesome too.
Looking forward to the ride!

I quit worrying about my shop floor long ago after years of cardboard, and pressure washing. It's clean, but stained. I really appreciate the comparisons to see the "best ever" products go head to head. Thank you so much, I wish I could have known many of these results years ago! (Too soon old, too late smart). Still learning at 74!
I am happy to see Super Clean rate so high. I've always relied on it when cleaning engines and built up cooking grease because I know it works well for what I can afford. Now I no longer have to wonder if I have been missing out on the more expensive stuff.
SuperClean seems more pricey than purple, but I have to use alot more purple. I've also seen it take the paint off as a straight concentrate.
Thanks for sharing.
Would you recommend it for concrete? I have a furnace that burns heating oil and one time a bunch of soot got onto the concrete floor and it's very difficult to get out.
I crush up oil dry and leave it sit over the stain, that should help pull the oil up from the concrete@@mitchgrossman7447
Be careful, Super Clean and Purple Power can corrode/etch aluminum. They have a specific warning about that it’s not safe for it. Because of that I’ve gone back to Simple Green Pro HD, the purple one. It’s specifically formulated to be safe on all metals.
Extrememly impressed with your glue test!!! Never seen anybody dare to perform such a test as you carried out! Thanks. Have shared it with my woodworker friends...
Thanks!
In my humble opinion, keep on with the review/testing content. Your practical yet scientific approach is really relatable to the average Joe. Your channel is pretty unique in its approach to testing, but there are tons of 'rebuild' videos. As the saying goes, "If it aint broke, don't fix it".
We love what you do Todd, thankyou for all your great work.
Thanks for sharing. Thanks for your opinion.
As long as you still do testing and revues of products from time to time I don't see any reason not to branch out. You are a highlight to my Sundays and anything you do will be entertaining and informative.
Personally I love the small engine testing you have done in the past, And would love to see more engine or transmission testing in the future. We know you'll do an awesome job!
Thanks for the suggestion.
Existing and new product testing is the way to go in my view. Thanks so much for all you do.
You are welcome!
I really like your product reviews rather than getting into automotive work. These are products we all buy and they change their products often. I’m sure there is enough of household products to keep you busy unless you have time to branch out and include more automotive products/mechanical work. Excellent channel 👍🏼
Thanks! Thanks for the feedback.
Id love to see tests of bicycle related products like chain lube, degreaser, tubeless sealant etc. A bit different then your typical test but it would be really interesting to see your test results !
Not to take anything away from Todd's channel, but Ryan at fortnine covers some of that. What he lacks in scientific testing, he makes up for with humor.
Me too!!
Thanks for the suggestion.
You’re my absolute go-to channel for product testing & advice. I’m so grateful for you & your vast array of videos. You’ve saved me time, money & effort. I greatly appreciate the product testing & hope you continue. But I’ll watch whatever videos you create 👍🏼
