The clean filter message is triggered by a large pressure drop. The difficulty you had in pushing it indicates you need to adjust the carpet attachment with the slider to let some air in so the attachment doesn't suck the head so close to the carpet. This may also eliminate the false clean filter message since this would also reduce the pressure drop across the filter.
This is great! The tube that came with mine is slightly different. The end that is supposed to attach to the motor is different. It took me a half hour to figure out there was another part that looks like an attachment that needs to be inserted 1st! Dyson needs to update their assembly video!
I have read of this issue on Facebook. Glad yoursis sorted. I got fed up of Dysons and bought myself a decent vacuum cleaner called SEBO and glad I did. It's a bit old school but appears to be more durable & last 20 years plus. Thanks for taking time to do such an engaging, through and insightful review. Will keep watching your channel.
Just added the V15 to go with our Deebot N8 Pro robot vac (tile floors with area rugs). The Dyson really comes in handy for areas the robot vac can't reach like stairs, corners, closets, under furniture/bed, cloth furniture, blinds, or above head air vents. So much faster and easier to use compared to my full size upright vac for spot cleaning or deep cleaning of high traffic areas on the area rugs. The Dyson will have to last me +8 years to break even on the price compared to my Eureka upright.
Great second video and just as endearing as Paul. Minimal editing, which makes your videos feel real and honest. Keep up the great work. Btw a lot of vacuums are dust circulators so don’t be too surprised. Hepa is definitely the way to go, and your video demonstrated exactly why. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
My first and second machine has the same issue with the clean filter after 2 minutes of use. Tech support have been useless except for exchanging one broken machine for another.
Great review. An expensive stick but I'm gonna have to upgrade. I decided to buy the V10, I just couldn't justify the price for the V15. And the 80 quid off in Currys helped as well 👌
Great video - well done! Looks like it's has impressive suction and the auto function is clever. Hopefully that will get into cheaper models (that's a crazy price!). How do you find all the head changing? That's the thing that annoys me with my Dyson V8 cordless compared with their upright models.
Great video did you manage to fix the clean filter message? Looking to get the same model please let me know if the filter message has been fixed thank you 👍
I’ve got the same Filter wash issue on a brand new product. Not impressed with it doing that. New filter doesn’t help as I happen to have one. Not very good for such an expensive product.
Yes your totally correct, it’s not on, I won’t to John Lewis the other day looking at Dyson products and the lady said about it and told her about the problems I did get with it she seems to think she hasn’t heard of any problems with it…. But suppose they are going to say that 🤔
I just bought the v15 animal and had the same issue as you about cleaning the filter. Did that last night and used it again tonight and again in said to clean the filter. How did you get on with yours?
Hiya, unfortunately it had to go back, dyson was really good about it, they done a swap for another new one whilst collecting the old one at the same time, new one is all fine with no issues, so just contact them and they will replace it for you. Its a commen issue but not right so get it replaced.
@@mrstg4085 i contacted them yesterday and they are sending me out a new main body and big cyclone assembly so hopefully that will resolve the issue. I did read up online lots of people are having the same issue. Glad you got yours sorted 😁
I have had this issue with 2 units. I'm getting a refund on the second one. Not sure whether to try another one. It's a great machine when it works but it's unacceptable to ship these with a known defect.
@@mrstg4085 Thank you. I just bought one here in the US and I have the same filter issue. It's a shame it's been 9 months plus and they are still selling these vacuums with these known issues. Other than the filter issue, I like the vacuum. I was just hoping they would have remedied the issue by now. Cheers.
Keep going mrs tech giant,, i'm looking forward to see unboxing, review & testing of household electronics like rice cookers, air fryers, blenders, smoothers, blowers,, in short all electronics for grooming the house, cooking, cleaning. I love your review,,
Forget about the v15 its too heavy and it is missing the auto button/trigger for vacuuming. Just get the v12, its lighter, cheaper and has that auto button/trigger so you dont have to hold your finger down the whole time when you vacuum... Hey why would you want to hold down a button/trigger the whole time you vacuum, this is year 2021 and almost every vacuums out there is auto:)
Hiya thanks for your feedback, unfortunately after researching what you said they don't sell it in the UK or alot of other country's, its only been released in about 3 country's, so the v15 came out in the UK first, and my personal opinion is I prefer a trigger, I've always had dysons and can't say it causes much problems for me but everyone is is different.
What are your big plans for that finger while you're vacuuming? It is attached to the hand you're using to hold onto and direct the thing around isn't it? I'll wager it'll be more difficult trying to avoid squeezing the trigger than it is to just do. This is the weakest complaint I hear. It's mostly just the parroting of other thoughtless whiners. The V15 is the best cordless stick vacuum that's ever been produced. It's just that simple. The Torque Drive head on the V12 comes nowhere near to the versatility of the one that comes standard with the V15, and you can't swap them. The travails of trigger squeezing included, you still can't do better than Dyson's top of the line.
@@mousec3775 obviously u never ownbed a triggerless vacuum. its like asking why not just buy a vacuum with a wire :).. once u own a vacuum with the auto button u wont go back to the manual. Dyson knows that, they are not stup1d and with time all their dysons will be triggerless (or atleast you will have the option to turn auto on or off)
As far as I can tell is the filter on the end? My V15 Detect has the purple-ish filter and the other should have the blue-ish/green-ish HEPA filter. I'm planning to purchase the HEPA on-line for a spare.
That’s an excellent video thank you Definitely going to order from Dyson direct I found at Currys they were a bit pushy and didn’t know the product , The new one you have tested has a lot of new features brilliant
The laser surprised me. Areas I assumed I'd vacuumed (maybe for years) I'd totally missed. My house compared to other houses is probably a bit over lit but I didn't have a problem with the laser. So I do like this tool and feature, but when I get near extension cords the spinning head becomes a big problem. The low angle connection tool is bizarre. The one that came with my V15 (via Costco) seems exactly backwards. The only possible use would be for the tops of cabinets high up. This could be useful, but then there's no way to do a low angle -- so almost half my queen size bed is inaccessible. (I suspect I got it for the Costco saile price because of this problem. Also my laser tool doesn't have the switch (not a problem) and there's no lighted crevice tool.) I do like the laser feature. Whenever anyone drops anything small on the floor I've always pulled out my flashlight and placed it right on the floor -- raking light. The demos of this feature all look a bit staged, but I have to say in real life it works exceptionally well. All in all it's a pretty nice vacuum at a premium price.
Damn! Mrs Tech Giant! Mmmm! You get three different "Heads?" James, keep that filthy mind out of that gutter. 😳🙃. I'm just playing Helen. Once again, another interesting unboxing video. Dyson is well-known to be expensive, but they do build quality products. I've still got my 8yr old VAX!! I think its definitely time too upgrade. 🤔
do not use the dust gun mechanism to empty the bin or the smallest particles of the dust collected go into the air like a cloud and you will breath it in! 👀

Excellent video, can’t believe it’s your second ever video, look like a pro already! Well done! 👏

The kitchen lighting is next level!

Dyson has since raised the price and gotten rid of most of the attachments of their v15 plus direct :(
That’s pants
How is this after 6months of use?
Had it 4 months now and all seems good still!
This was an interesting video to watch, even though I'm not into vacuum cleaners haha. Pretty good overall tho.
