Really under rated writing. The characters are familiar in all the right ways...without being full blown tropes persae. I like this series a lot. Smart...heart-centric- fun
My theory is that the planets are some sort of remnant that could have something hidden locked away deep underground behind several long forgotten systems.Did you notice some of the people on At-Achrann were wearing what looked llike AT-AT command helmets. Also one of the scrappy looking guns had a covering resembling the long pipe used in the Death Star trash compactor.
This episode made me so glad that they decided to make this show. I've been happy with all the episodes but this one in particular felt really like Star Wars but with a fresh new perspective and a story we don't usually see. 100% awesome episode
I want to learn the history of all these planets so bad. Looks like all of them have been ransacked long ago and build into the legend of At-Atin. The missing jewel
No, At-Atin was just one of these planets. Simplest backstory would be that they all had been given parts of the same "Great Work", they were all supervised by droids and an artificial intelligence, and on the other planets there was some revolt by the biologicals or outside forces pushed their way past their barriers.
Hi Meg awesome video, I enjoyed this episode and neel was brilliant and I think some children would have been scared of the droid now, this episode was fun aswell, thank you SWM
The Captain = The Supervisor. The kids just found his hidden starship parking spot in the woods while the Captain is sitting in the tower collecting the credits produced daily by the labor of an entire world he enslaved by killing and replacing the former supervisor without anyone knowing. It's the pirate code; if you challenge and kill the captain, you are the captain... If you kill the supervisor, you are the supervisor.
Glad to see that your theory about SM33 was correct. I had been agreeing with you on that too. I found it interesting yet unsettling to see the planet they landed on be a dystopian clone of At Attin. I, too, think that the nine jewels of the old republic were experimental in nature, and I also suspect that the “treasure “ all of the pirates think is on At Attin is not what they think.. not credits or anything they can touch and trade, etc. … the “great work”” is tied to all this too. As for Jod I think he may be a child of a Jedi, which would make his upbringing even more tragic since Jedi were not allowed families ( except for a certain few species). His parent(s) were probably killed during order 66 when he was young, hence him not being very well practiced in the ways of the Force.. no one around to properly train him. As for Fern and Wenn I think they will start working together more and I feel that Wenn may be losing just a bit of his Jedi fantasies and this may become more apparent over the next episodes. I totally agree that the map they took from Khymm was either just to deliberately make their journey the At Attin longer so that the Republic forces can catch up with them, or just was not complete since Jod and discovered she was stalling and destroyed her map making machine. So far this is a wonderful series. I feel sorry for fans who don’t want to watch this just because the main characters are a group of kids. They’re missing some good storytelling here.
Maybe Jod Na Nawood (Jude Law) would have been a Jedi if his planet was known about and had been scouted for younglings... Perhaps the security droids prevented him from being collected by Jedi?
This episode was really good. It reminded me a little bit of stranger things, but yeah, I enjoy this episode. I gave it another nine out of ten I feel like the episodes are getting good over time
Neel got a girlfriend! Also, there were no droids on At Achrann. Was there some sort of rebellion and overthrow of the droids on At Achrann? What prevented the same thing from happening on At Attin?
That was a CIS Droid tank iirc in that episode, which likely meant there was a Droid invasion and the colony fell apart once the supervisor's leadership was called into question.
Jod's "Just shoot me" was a highlight. I still smile at that one. I was thinking that the At worlds having identical structures made me think of company towns or the like. Or possibly some kind of experiment run in the past with At Atin being the only surviving one. Where they needed everything to be identical in order to keep everything the same to test out some theory. I'm thinking that SM-33's old captain probably hid the ship with SM-33 in it in case he needed to make a quick get away and the captain never came back. Still a lot of mystery here, but they need to get to one of the other At worlds to get the coordinates of At Atin from their supervisor tower. Almost forgot. It took them long enough to order SM-33 to remember At-Atin.
I wasn’t initially big on E4’s beginning… but then I started piecing some easter eggs together. This was a very cerebral episode for long-term Star Wars enthusiasts. My kids enjoyed the obvious kid aspects of the episode. They told me upon reaching the Tower that SM33 would remember At Attin and would have to kill everyone. I was perplexed as to why… then even more puzzled how they knew this! We watched E4 just 5 minutes after being allowed to watch it! My kids said they just knew, and couldn’t explain it! Kids… Go figure!
good deductions about the supervisors and their importance, but I believe there's still gonna be human, or cyborg (or alien etc), not droids. I agree it's good, and it was a boon finding Kassovitz with his French accent as a cameo. Love how the characters develop : Wim as an explorer, and an enthousiast, positive and a supporter for Fern, seeing her doubts, and every developments of Neal (bravery, kindness etc).
Former captian FOUND the treasure and programmed the droid to forget it so he could hide it for himself. I assume the Captain met his end before he could get back to it. Crash landing on At Attin and dying.
It's a very good guess, but at the same time I would be a little bit dissapointed if SM33's captain was just random pirate and the whole show is about treasure being only gold, diamods etc. It would be way cooler if captain is or was the supervisor of at attin and hiding this planet from the galaxy is deepper than just protecting the treasure.
@@arctic_haze I mean we’ve seen a stockpile in the trailer. I’m definitely assuming big time that the captain was using At Attin for a decent period of time. The ship had Port Borgo coordinates and even people there were like “wait how did you find this port?”.
@galanonim1178 it won’t be some RANDOM pirate. Zane is here from Mando. All the pirate stuff’s connecting to something bigger. The whole show starts out mentioning that Pirates are basically calling the shots in some hyperspace lanes. Honestly want it to be Eleodie Maracavanya, the pirate queen of wild space. (Aftermath)
Another awesome episode and quickly turning into another good series. The better it does, the more we can expect the toxic Star Wars fans to trash it. May the force be with us all!
I'm having a lot of fun with this show. Definitely looking forward to the next episode! Interesting, you're (Meg) coming from the perspective of SM-33 and his former captain were searching for the treasure, and initially, I was thinking along the lines that his previous captain was causing the fall of the other planets, looting them, and then hiding the treasure on At Attin, kind of like a Blackbeard's treasure scenario. Idk if the looting theory is correct, but it does lead to a strong reason why At Attin was purposely hidden. Perhaps the current Supervisor is a descendent of SM-33'S old captain, and they're hiding the treasure? I'm probably wrong, but it's an interesting thought experiment nonetheless.
Based on the idea of them being tests with supervisors, it reminds me of the vaults in fallout each with an overseer, as each vault was basically used for shady experiments by vault tec
Crossed my mind, too! Jod Na KNOWS the Onyx Cinder like the back of his hand. He knows where everything is and how to operate it all. Way too many pieces of circumstantial evidence!
Hiya Meg, love your vids, keep them coming, i had a look at the cords for At Aytuu, its in the lower right quadrant of grid G15, a little lower and to the left of Batuu, and up and left of Rattatak on the 2d map, when the codrs for At Attin were on screen the grid number is 05, now it didnt give the letter for the grid so it could be anywhere on the Y Axis of that, funny enough Korriban is in grid R5 but i dont think its that as thats a dusty red desert planet i think, just some food for thought for you.
Meg, I got a bigger picture question. Stryx mentioned in passing that they don't deal so much with off - worlders unless its for munition's trade. But that implies that the rest of the universe is aware of and has access to AT-Achrun which is considered to be one of these "fabled lost old worlds". How is it that not one person in all of the universe, in all of history has been able to prove the existence of / decipher the location of At - Atten simply because SM33 destroyed a stone tablet in a tower nobody visits? If those other world's coordinates are in-tact whats to stop anyone from visiting those other worlds and getting the information from there? (Unless the old crew of the Onyx Cinder went to each world and destroyed each map to At-Atten specifically.)
This show is fantastic, a real breath of fresh air - and saying that as someone who really enjoyed Ahsoka and Obiwan. One thing that I wondered - the Great Work mural looks so similar to the mural of the Mortis gods on Lothal. It's interesting that you mentioned the World Between Worlds - do you think it's possible that it has something to do with what the 'Great Work' is?
I enjoyed watching episode 4 and I feel that SM-33 knows exactly where the treasure is on At Attin and the supervisor could be finding the treasure too before the kids do.
SM33's former captain made him forget At Attin because that former captain found At Attin and became the supervisor there. THAT is the treasure, running a peaceful secluded world.
Before I start, I'll confess to being one of the SW fans who DIDN'T find The Acolyte as bad as some of the others did. It certainly wasn't strong compared to The Mandalorian and Ahsoka BUT in its defence, it was treading uncharted ground. Which brings me to Skeleton Crew, which is doing pretty much the same thing. I'm loving this series so far and can't wait to find out more about just about every aspect of it. Loving your videos Meg, keep it up!
I think most Jedi younglings didn't go into combat or war, especially not without choosing that. There were other Jedi branches that didn't fight, and may not have required as much force sensitivity. And apparently, like Grogu was given a choice, Jedi apprentices had plenty of chances to abandon their training altogether. And many Jedis chose to abandon the order after their training as well.
Could the Crimson Dawn leader from Solo (played by Paul Bettany) be the Supervisor or someone else from Crimson Dawn... This sort of cross narrative interplay seems to happen a lot in Star Wars, and might open up more pirate / smuggling / gold / money / trading / trade route possibilities. This could also link to the use of Crimson Jack as a pseudonym (which could be a rank, rather than a literal name)
My theory for Jon is that he comes from a lineage of Jedi Knights who were tasked with protecting The Jewels of The Republic and The Force has brought him back and he will have to decide whether to face his destiny or greed
Definitely a 9 out of 10. I'm curious about the military paraphernalia and machines. Were some raiders wearing Imperial army helmets? Was that a hover tank? It was like the CIS ones. The cannon atop the school has interesting implications. Does At Attin have them atop their schools as well? The cannon was hidden from sight so perhaps the other worlds had such cannons as well. Why were they there in the first place? Did the people know they were there? If the people were all accountants and such who made the war machines? Were these things brought in by invaders? Why was there an invasion in the first place and why was the planet we saw not occupied? Were these worlds just decoys with no "riches"? If the helmets are Imperial Army helmets why were there no stormtrooper helmets?
Love the series so far… not this episode so much. Definitely loved Jod, Neel+Hanna, most of the SM33 stuff, the darker tone (mostly), and conversely - some of the more humorous bits and Hanna’s random parkour moves… but I didn’t love the narrative pacing and imo some lazy plot devices used. But I did really like / appreciate the character development, the script, most of the plot… etc. so maybe I’d give this one a 6.5 to 7.5… I thought it was a good deal weaker than eps 1 - 3, but I thought those were 8.5s to 9.5s easy… so maybe it wasn’t as bad as I initially thought.
Then why would she crash her ship on At Attin and left behind all those bodies in the ship? She could have landed it properly on a proper space port or parking lot, at least somewhere it wouldn't rot. The old captain is most certainly Humanoid, just as the bodies on the ship, but the supervisor may very well be an artificial intelligence. Only chance would be that she crashed, the rest of her crew got killed, then she took over the "supervisorship" somehow and kept herself hidden from anyone else on that planet.
@Andreas-gh6is crashing the ship I doubt was intentional as I doubt they were invited to At Attin possibly shot down by the big cannon like Nanya shows Neel. the supervisor has managed to keep At Attin hidden/isolated from the galaxy at large for at least 30yrs without the people of At Attin even realising it. I think they'll be able to keep themselves Identity hidden/disguised relatively easily as the civilians don't seem to ever ask questions (likely part of the education system to remove initiative)
@Andreas-gh6is I doubt crashing was intentional probably was shot down from that big cannon like the one Nanya shows Neel SM-33 says he and his crew were pirates so the intention was to steal the treasure with only the captain surviving the crash it would be easier to for an individual to evade the security droids. It possible in searching for the treasure vault they've come across the planets purpose and chooses to stay and be the supervisor weather it's good intentions or it self serving will need to be revealed. At Attin has been hidden/isolated from the galaxy at large for at least 30yrs without the civilians even realising it so if needed the Captain can hide/disguise their identity relatively easily
@@thestanleys3657 That won't really work. The droids and their supervisor know every citizen on that world, so if anybody additional shows up, they'd know. So either the captain became the supervisor, which is unlikely because the supervisor is not Humanoid, or she would need to stay off the grid, which seems to be hard on that world. The old captain wanted to preserve At-Attin, but we don't know the actual reason yet.
@@Andreas-gh6is the original supervisor is possibly a droid but how do you know the pirate captain didn't disable and replace it and reprogram the system to not cause alarm. Fern easily figured out how to override her nanny droid and the security droids didn't even realise the kids taking off in a ship within a few miles of them which tells me the governing system on At Attin has a number of gaps
Interesting this is, not clone in a way we know, but maybe preservation of species. An insurance of so many? Why so many planets? Why so similar? To deceive? Strategy is not only of war, but of survival as well.
Yes we said the Droid wasn't glitching and knew it all but yes who was the former captain? It's Star Wars version of lost in space they're not making it back home by episode 8.
I'm really enjoying this series, but i feel that Jude Law's character is SM-33's old captain, and Jude Law is also the masked character we saw right in the first scenes of episode one. I'm guessing the kids could just go to one of the other planets to see if the co-ordinates are still surviving there.

@@tsuikagura >wrote 3 kids being immediately totally OK with child soldier training
They do show kids guns in museums in real life. My professor in college used to joke how the boys would all gravitate towards pistols while the girls would immediately go to the machine gun. They WOULD absolutely be okay firing them.
Really under rated writing. The characters are familiar in all the right ways...without being full blown tropes persae. I like this series a lot. Smart...heart-centric- fun
I enjoyed this week’s episode. It was different. And its so cute that Neel got his first kiss.
I hope we see more of Hayna. She'd be amazing in the upcoming Resistance
My theory is that the planets are some sort of remnant that could have something hidden locked away deep underground behind several long forgotten systems.Did you notice some of the people on At-Achrann were wearing what looked llike AT-AT command helmets. Also one of the scrappy looking guns had a covering resembling the long pipe used in the Death Star trash compactor.
yes. They wore Imperial Army Uniforms!!!
Meg bless you for being real
This show just FEELS like Star Wars! Love it so far!
Thanks Meg! My The Force Be With You...Always
😀
Hi Meg awesome video, I enjoyed this episode and neel was brilliant and I think some children would have been scared of the droid now, this episode was fun aswell, thank you SWM
I would take on Vader and Sidious to protect Neel! I love that kids character…
Oh aye!
I feel like "The Captain" is Fern's "Grandpa"
The Captain = The Supervisor. The kids just found his hidden starship parking spot in the woods while the Captain is sitting in the tower collecting the credits produced daily by the labor of an entire world he enslaved by killing and replacing the former supervisor without anyone knowing. It's the pirate code; if you challenge and kill the captain, you are the captain... If you kill the supervisor, you are the supervisor.
Casanova Neel!
That trunk is probably useful for a few things.
@Andreas-gh6is 😱
OMG!
I gave it another nine out of ten I feel like the episodes are getting good over time
Really cool show I think u r spot on with the theories and may the force be with you
I love this channel!!
Hayna doing a flip after kissing Neel was so sweet.
Neel got a girlfriend! Also, there were no droids on At Achrann. Was there some sort of rebellion and overthrow of the droids on At Achrann? What prevented the same thing from happening on At Attin?
I’m guessing Achrann fell into civil war after finding out the truth of At Achrann, the supervisor is an AI.
That was a CIS Droid tank iirc in that episode, which likely meant there was a Droid invasion and the colony fell apart once the supervisor's leadership was called into question.
The elephant like kid with the mouse like creature is priceless.
Big Phat Thumbs Up.... Thank you. Enjoying the skeleton crew...
I really love this show! And Neel is so, so precious💖
Technically, it's a basic of 'piratein'!
good deductions about the supervisors and their importance, but I believe there's still gonna be human, or cyborg (or alien etc), not droids.
I agree it's good, and it was a boon finding Kassovitz with his French accent as a cameo. Love how the characters develop : Wim as an explorer, and an enthousiast, positive and a supporter for Fern, seeing her doubts, and every developments of Neal (bravery, kindness etc).
Neel is a Galactic treasure! He must be protected at all cost!!
That means there is a huge cannon on the roof of the school
Oh aye!
He (or she) crash landed after finding the treasure? Why not take it and never return?
(Aftermath)
I can't wait for the Christmas ep-I hope Neel is okay following his fainting spell 😅💙
I love this Esp. Keeping to the pirate mystery
Another awesome episode and quickly turning into another good series. The better it does, the more we can expect the toxic Star Wars fans to trash it. May the force be with us all!
I have been very critical of Disneys Star Wars efforts so far, but this show has me looking forward to it each week.
It’s great! I already wish it had more episodes. I don’t want it to end 😃
I liked this ep. A lil slow sure but good character moments and still fun. I do think the best is yet to come.
what a beautiful episode!
Based on the idea of them being tests with supervisors, it reminds me of the vaults in fallout each with an overseer, as each vault was basically used for shady experiments by vault tec
I have enjoyed it so much
Jude Law is the droid's old captain.
Crossed my mind, too! Jod Na KNOWS the Onyx Cinder like the back of his hand. He knows where everything is and how to operate it all. Way too many pieces of circumstantial evidence!
At Attin is where AT-ATs come from
It got me seeing an AT-AT in the hands of those Raiders
@isaackim7675 I Def got an AT-ST vibe in that fog.
@@keithprossickartist 😂😂😂
Hiya Meg, love your vids, keep them coming, i had a look at the cords for At Aytuu, its in the lower right quadrant of grid G15, a little lower and to the left of Batuu, and up and left of Rattatak on the 2d map, when the codrs for At Attin were on screen the grid number is 05, now it didnt give the letter for the grid so it could be anywhere on the Y Axis of that, funny enough Korriban is in grid R5 but i dont think its that as thats a dusty red desert planet i think, just some food for thought for you.
I love this show. I really hope they go to more of the other planets. I would be interesting to see what state they are in.
Could we have a vault-tech situation, with these planets?
😉
And many Jedis chose to abandon the order after their training as well.
got in 2 Back to Back watches last eve !
Many More to come ! Starting ... Now !
In the Rebels watch EXD-9 the Experimental Imperial Probe Droid that Zeb finds. SM-33 reminds me of that, especially when he "gets big"
My theory for Jon is that he comes from a lineage of Jedi Knights who were tasked with protecting The Jewels of The Republic and The Force has brought him back and he will have to decide whether to face his destiny or greed
I love this show, lots of fun to watch and some mystery with it, I rate it 9 out of 10
My only criticism is I want more jude law and sm33 scenes but I'm loving this series so far
SM33’s old captain is the current supervisor of At-attain
At Acheron fell into violence after finding out their supervisor was an AI.
The last captain is the current head admin for At Atin.
Love your videos and the show.
The mirror worlds being built and run by droids makes sense. Vaguely reminds me of the movie Oblivion.
So far, it's really good fun, old-school Star Wars.
Could the supervisor be SM33 captain?
What if SM-33's previous captain is the supervisor on At Attin
What was the reason for the time delay with Disney in airing Episode 4.
Interesting this is, not clone in a way we know, but maybe preservation of species. An insurance of so many? Why so many planets? Why so similar?
To deceive? Strategy is not only of war, but of survival as well.
Loving this one.
I hope they at least show the crash landing or the events leading up to it before the end
😮😅🎉❤ Utidiiiiiii..
Neel is the 🐐🐐🐐
Wims Dad was the captain!!! My guess is the family escaped Acheron. SM-33 = could mean Capt Hooks 1st Mate or Subject Matter Expert, meaning he knows everything about the ship and At-Attin.😉
