I like your energies together. Collaboration is hard. You two have totally different resting heartrates, I'm sure. And it was an honest chronicle of how your enthusiasm for a project can rise and fall as you go. In developing the recipe of two chefs in the kitchen that day, it's a multi-layered and lively success. Very fun.
The fresh pasta would have worked probably if you did not boil it and just baked it as it is. Either way, the mortadella was genius! I wanna try this but with pastrami!
3 things: 1- the color scheme of the lasagna? Love, like retro 60s 70s pink mint and cream just yes. 2- More Andy 3- It was fun to see you guys kinda f it up but still keep going, also just makes me want to get weird and design my own lasagna but following (some) guidelines. Really enjoyed the videos!
The fresh pasta ‘problem’, was that 1) with the amount of cream & how thin the cream was, it really didn’t needed cooking before hand, 2) if the goal was cooking the pasta, please, one at the time! Or leave the pasta to air dry a bit more, so the consistency is not a fresh as it was, and it could handled the boiling in a bundle & the tongs! The rest of it? Thats the type of caos I love to see in the kitchen, have missed the two of you together! Loved seeing a bit of how to create a new recipe, and that green sauce? Definitely going on rotation, since i’m lasagna kind girl year round! ✨ Thanks guys for the awesome video!❤
I totally agree, if it was the hard sheets from the package then you'd boil it although I make mine with raw pasta sheets, not preboiled ones and the pasta has a more of a bite to it. Just a personal preference!
Why cook the fresh pasta at all? the time in the oven would probably be enough to cook it through. I don't even pre-cook my dry pasta and have never had a problem.
Did I make this with irrational confidence before part 2 came out: yes Did I over-whip the cream into basically whipped cream/butter: yes Did I know immediately I f'd up: yes BUT was I in denial and proceeded frantically with assembly: yes Did it still come out SO GOOD: HECK YES
Does anyone thought that maybe that pasta was not to be boil before assembling? tThere are some pasta sheets for lasagna that does not need pre-boil? just asking
Fun project, love their chemistry! But I really don't get the potatoes. I'm thinking spinach and leeks. And prosciutto instead of mortadella. Or you could make it with just potatoes and no noodles.
wonderful chemistry between the two master chefs. always nice to see Andy, too, but was hoping for one of his famous butt crack shots. did i miss something?
The pasta fell apart because it was not worked enough. You could tell even from the ingredients shot, it was way too rough. YOu have to work it, rest it, then run it through the machine or by hand several times folding and rerolling.
I know this is gonna sound whiny and annoying but when i saw the broken pasta being thrown away i cringed because i wouldve made something out of it. Thats just me hating wasted food tho. Anything i burn i still eat because ya girl just cant afford to throw em away
I laughed so hard when Andy whispered to Molly I'm dead hahaha I love and miss this energy
So wholesome. This is what it looks like when two best buds come together and riff in the kitchen after years apart. Two thumbs up!
it is SO GOOD to see you two together on UA-cam again
This is that old school energy and vibe we loved from before. Thx for this. More collabs.
NOSTALGIA the house down!!!!!!!!
F**K I love seeing you two back in the kitchen 💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕💕

looking forward to another collab. Cant wait for the next experiment you guys make.
I loved this bonapp reunion! So happy and giggly! Please do it again!
This energy what i want to embody in the year of 2024.
Loved this missed watching you two cook together!
The fresh pasta would have worked probably if you did not boil it and just baked it as it is. Either way, the mortadella was genius! I wanna try this but with pastrami!
yeah major amateur hour...then the gall to blame the pasta and say it was made poorly. jeeze louise guys, it was your fault the whole time
Yeah I don’t even need to par boil the dried pasta if you have it saucey enough
i was thinking that too! Definitely don't need to boil fresh lasagna sheets, their intended to be ready to cook! haha

It's insane how little salt Molly puts on the potato layers 😋
Yes, those potatoes needed more cooking.
They should have been parboiled.
A potato gratin would need an hour maybe??
But such a lovely spring dish!
It's easily been an hour since I watched, and I'm still smiling. I had no idea how much I had missed this... 😍
this looked deliciousssssss and you two are so fun together. Everyone seems to have a good time around Molly.
ugh the green is so gorgeous. love.
I feel like a chopped roasted pistachio on top would be fabuuuuu
Ooo I agree! Some kind of crunchy texture situation 😋
The squeal and hug at the end 🥰🥰 so cute!
Collab too long in the making. Love it!!! Hope to see more from this duo.
Miss you guys together
This looks so delicious!!
It was a joy to watch you two collaborate. I hope for more.
This is so wonderfully chaotic and seeing you guys cook together again aaahhhh!
oh ~this~ was the energy i missed from the test kitchen after that .. whole thing...
The fresh pasta ‘problem’, was that 1) with the amount of cream & how thin the cream was, it really didn’t needed cooking before hand, 2) if the goal was cooking the pasta, please, one at the time! Molly has been on UA-cam this whole time??? Instant subscribe
I don't think you're supposed to boil fresh lasagna. It seems like it would cook in the baking process. I might be wrong.
I was thinking the same thing. I would not have pre cooked fresh pasta
absolutely, you cannot put fresh sheet pasta in a rolling boil it will fall apart. For a Lasagna it would not need pre-cooking.
I totally agree, if it was the hard sheets from the package then you'd boil it although I make mine with raw pasta sheets, not preboiled ones and the pasta has a more of a bite to it. Just a personal preference!
It shouldn't fall apart like it did though. It was bad pasta anyway.
@@EduardoCachuchoMaybe if it had been more of a simmer it would have worked better?
Need more!!
This was fun to watch
This is delightful
Tell Brad to collab with you guys for a reunion special
loved this collab!
That was a wonderfully chaotic romp!
Why cook the fresh pasta at all? the time in the oven would probably be enough to cook it through. I don't even pre-cook my dry pasta and have never had a problem.
So fun! I make lasagna with fresh pasta all the time, but do not cook it first, maybe that would work best with this also?
I absolutely LOVE this!!
I love their energy together
This looks so good. I’m shocked you two didn’t put some chopped pistachios on top!
but why would you actually pre cook fresh lasagna sheets?
thats why they fell apart
Awwwww love youuuuuu both so much!
I love both of you... So this is my favorite.
Maybee blanch the sliced potatoes for 5 min first?
crazy enough that it might work
I knew those potatoes needed precooking! Where is Molly's apron from?
so excited to see them back together i love them
More episodes with Andy please!! Missed seeing you both in one screen.
How am I now finding this, I miss Andy so much
It looks so good and it probably tastes so good. But all I wanna do is clean up that oven!
You guys are hilarious 😂 ❤
Any vegetarian sub options for mortadella?
Now I need Carla in here too
The syncronized "no" 8:46 though
and without calling attention to it which shows the level of their friendship.
Did I make this with irrational confidence before part 2 came out: yes
Did I over-whip the cream into basically whipped cream/butter: yes
Did I know immediately I f'd up: yes
BUT was I in denial and proceeded frantically with assembly: yes
Did it still come out SO GOOD: HECK YES
Thanks for all the laughs 😂
I want to see Molly's mortadella mountain's😂
This was bad ass, I was skeptical-I still am low key but super intrigued! lol
Does anyone thought that maybe that pasta was not to be boil before assembling? tThere are some pasta sheets for lasagna that does not need pre-boil? just asking
can we get an architecture digest style home tour? 😂
im in to this for flavor combo, but i never cook my pasta first with a lasagna. dry or fresh
Don't you put fresh pasta into lasagna without par boiling it?
the sibling energy is strong and wonderful
TTUUUNNNAAAAAA!!!!❤❤
A little empathy for the poor soul who effed up making the pasta.
Gurl that ain't nothing but a casserole.
That lasagna was seducing Andy ahahahaahahha
Molly and Andy. together again!!!! Can we make it a series?
I love you, Molly and Andy. I’ve fans of you both for a while, since the BA times. Did you actually enjoy this dish? I don’t think I would like it.
I fucken missed this
W duo
Was the noodle snafu possibly gluten free pasta??
Next time just get Barilla and call it a day. 😅
Fun project, love their chemistry! But I really don't get the potatoes. I'm thinking spinach and leeks. And prosciutto instead of mortadella. Or you could make it with just potatoes and no noodles.
I feel like you didn't have to throw away all that pasta. Defo could have done sth with that because what a massive waste
Amor!
what kind of fontina?
the fontina kind of fontina
is there any B roll of andy in the pool?
wonderful chemistry between the two master chefs. always nice to see Andy, too, but was hoping for one of his famous butt crack shots. did i miss something?
Andy's face at 7:16 deserves more attention XD
The pasta fell apart because it was not worked enough. You could tell even from the ingredients shot, it was way too rough. YOu have to work it, rest it, then run it through the machine or by hand several times folding and rerolling.
Fuck Yah!
The perfect duo is back 🖤
I feel like I'm in the kitch but like...not and that makes me a lil sad. So what time should I be over?
Helen Keller could have seen that the fresh pasta was crappy from a mile away😂
FINALLY
May I suggest a scrap bowl to throw the pasta and herb ends be thrown into and then composted? I hate seeing food thrown out, even wonky noodles!
why woudn't they just let the pasta cook in the oven with the lasagne
Andy needs to move in! This series is going places.
i miss seeing these two sharing the screen
Man, those two should do a show together.
Do you compost your food scraps/leftovers?
I was really hoping this channel turns in to a pro showing us the way, and not so much a reminder of failure like my own cooking lol.
her schnoz should of smelt something was wrong
why did andy oil the foil?
so the cheese on top of the "lasagna" wouldn't stick to the foil.
Call it Bazagna, Andy won’t mind.
Never had a double carb lasagna with mortadella
It's spumoni lasagana!
I know this is gonna sound whiny and annoying but when i saw the broken pasta being thrown away i cringed because i wouldve made something out of it. Thats just me hating wasted food tho. Anything i burn i still eat because ya girl just cant afford to throw em away
Why call the pasta noodles? They are pasta sheets surely?
I would parboil the potatoes …
ok mortadella mountains
This is really bad content from 2 people that actually know how to cook. So sad it has gone to this.
my goats
