Yeah sadly unless you're Batman or Spider-Man, getting a game at all let alone a good game is rare. I guess X-men/Wolverine have a good amount of decent games. Hulk has like one good game out of a total of 3 games. Unless I'm forgetting something I think every other comic book hero falls on a scale of having no games, having bad games, and or having mediocre games. It's a sad reality...
They didn't remove arcade mode in Injustice 2, they just made it a pain in the ass to find for first timers. For some silly reason it's tucked away in the Multiverse labeled as the "Battle Simulator" and no I cannot begin to fathom why.
Superman has the same problem in games he has in films... He's so ungodly OP that he's hard to make a game/film around. We can only see Kryptonite so many times. How do you make an engaging property about someone too powerful to be hurt? I don't want to call Supe's boring, but threat dictates interest and if someone is perceived to not have any viable threats people will mostly find them uninteresting. So if we ever want an AMAZING Superman film/game... he's going to need to be nerfed, or they're going to have to introduce a threats that makes Superman seem inadequate.
The 2600 game is apparently misunderstood to you much like E.T. is to most people. Take Luthor’s henchmen to jail and repair the bridge. Pretty easy really and a rather advanced game for the 2600 at the time. The Sears version is rather rare and pricey.
Literally Arkham with henchmen being intergang, robots from luthor and toyman, kryptonians from the phantom-zone with a low amount of solar-power (and like a dozen others I could mention). You know the quickfire gadgets in batman? Same thing with superman with heat vision and arctic breath but then there's another set with left trigger instead of right, with physical moves like Ground smash, tornado spin, sonic clap, and throw. Skill tree could allow for enhancements like tornado spin makes an actual tornado affecting a larger vacinity, another upgrade would have him throw it. Oh you think I forgot about special-combo moves? Ice-block stun, multi-blast heat vision to quickly stun a bunch of guys, throw a piece of the ground, and the last one would be heat vision and arctic breath at the same time, which would insta-kill. You could chain together moves like tornado spin and heat vision to get more guys with one attack, and all of this is founded on the idea that better moves cost more solar meter. Solar meter is a logical nerf since he can exhaust his body of it in comics if he uses too much power too quickly. Furthermore a skill tree could also affect the special combo moves like the move where you rip up ground and throw it? If you hold the buttons, costing more solar-meter, he rips ground (earthquaking to protect himself with a shockwave) and lifts it so as to erupt ground in a forward-moving trail. This would be one of various attacks that bounce enemies, further integrating flight into the combat.
It says a lot to the quality and amount of superman games when; 1. The whole video is under half an hour 2. They had to include education games and justice League games 3. They struggled to say anything good about the entries until it was into the top 10 4. Even before watching it I predicted that the 2 injustice games would be top Great video regardless, loved the 'my hero' reference, credit to Ben / the script writer x
I love the TripleJump Worst To Best series and the fact that in this one it took until the 4th place to have something good to say about the game is simply fantastic
I love death and return of superman it may not have a multi-player but the action and collision detection is crisp unlike say LJN's maximum carnage which is choppy as hell and sound effects are crackling sticks.
The fact that a movie tie-in game is considered the best solo Superman game really says a lot about this character's luck with videogames. I hope he eventually gets a good game experience, though it would be a very hard task considering how OP he is,a Metropolis open world game would be kind of pointless if you can just explore the entirety of it in a few seconds because of how fast his flying is,i feel a linear game would be the best way to properly adapt his abilities into videogame format.
Well that was the case for Spider man for a long time. Spider man 2 tie ingame was considered the best Spider man game for nearly 20 years until the PS4 Spider man came along
25: Superman 64 24: Superman: The Game 23: Superman: Activity Centre 22: Superman (Atari 2600) 21: Superman: The Greatest Hero 20: Justice League: Injustice For All 19: Superman: Man of Steel 18: Justice League: Chronicles 17: Superman Returns Fortress of Solitude 16: Superman (Gameboy) 15: Superman: Man of Steel (MS) 14: Justice League: Heroes United 13: Justice League: Task Force 12: Superman: Man of Steel (XBox) 11: Superman (NES) 10: Countdown to Apokolips 9: Superman Returns 8: Superman (Arcade) 7: Death and Return of Superman 6: Injustice Arcade 5: Justice League: Heroes 4: Superman Returns (XBox 360) 3: Shadow of Apokolips 2: Injustice: Gods Among Us 1: Injustice 2
Well, look at the bright side, Superman's videogame career should at least inspire people to think about why he doesn't make for a good playable character, or even why educational games suck. ^^ PS: Justice League Heroes came out in 2006. Just what Diablo game did it come one year before? :P

I guess X-men/Wolverine have a good amount of decent games. Hulk has like one good game out of a total of 3 games. Unless I'm forgetting something I think every other comic book hero falls on a scale of having no games, having bad games, and or having mediocre games.
It's a sad reality...
have faith. supes will have one some day
They didn't remove arcade mode in Injustice 2, they just made it a pain in the ass to find for first timers. For some silly reason it's tucked away in the Multiverse labeled as the "Battle Simulator" and no I cannot begin to fathom why.
Not gonna lie, I'm probably going to play that Superman Sudoku game...
His enemies are just that, powerful enough to own him
not all superman movie are bad. the reeves movies (1 &2) and superman returnes are some great superman movies by the critics.
Okay, considering the track record of Superman games, I'm really curious about this list.
That bit at 00:31 where Peter says "super Man or SUPERman," that is just such a good joke
I loved the Superman Shadow of Apokolips, Justice League Heroes, Injustice Gods Among Us 1 & 2, and Death and Return of Superman.
The 2600 game is apparently misunderstood to you much like E.T. is to most people. Take Luthor’s henchmen to jail and repair the bridge. Pretty easy really and a rather advanced game for the 2600 at the time. The Sears version is rather rare and pricey.
"Largest number of Highest" got me good 😂
The fact that this list is only 28 minutes long and is negative for most of it is quite sad
Shadow of Apokolips is my personal fav
Haha poor old Clark, can’t catch a break. I’d love to see a total revamp on the character! Maybe Tom Holland? He’s in every thing now it seems.
Perfect! Format, jokes, material top banana! Superman games ranked from legendary crrrrapppp to wild card, but what else to do with Superman.
It says a lot to the quality and amount of superman games when;
1. The whole video is under half an hour
2. They had to include education games and justice League games
3. They struggled to say anything good about the entries until it was into the top 10
4. Even before watching it I predicted that the 2 injustice games would be top
Great video regardless, loved the 'my hero' reference, credit to Ben / the script writer x
The writer of this script, is from now on, a comedy legend.
Thermoman ?
obviously Superman is always better than Batman, even if you don't want to accept the truth
I'm a Superman fan and this list just makes me sad, I really wish someone could make a really good Superman game one of these days. 😢
Read the title and then said aloud, "Is there a best?"
Supes has the worst games of any superhero hands down
The arcade game was at least competent for its time
Thank you for pronouncing Mxyzptlk correctly!
Yet he struggles with Metallo.
@@metamar1034 I have the same conversation with my kids
I think Spyro is a good contender for this format. Also there being a fan of the purple dragon in the crew would make it a bit more personal.
Are we still holding out hope for a Rocksteady Superman game?
I’d give an organ for this.
Those rumours were false.
i swear Ben and Peter are just one person cause I can't friggin tell the difference between their voices
And even then they said it's a good framework for a superman game. It just needs to be put into a better game.
Well that was the case for Spider man for a long time. Spider man 2 tie ingame was considered the best Spider man game for nearly 20 years until the PS4 Spider man came along

I played hours upon hours of Superman Atari as a kid. Superman Returns Xbox 360 was an underrated game.
I love shadow of Apokalips
Well, look at the bright side, Superman's videogame career should at least inspire people to think about why he doesn't make for a good playable character, or even why educational games suck. ^^
PS: Justice League Heroes came out in 2006. Just what Diablo game did it come one year before? :P
Ben may not want to include mobile games, but I want to hear him whinge about them.
17:40 I PLAYED THIS GAME AS A LIL' KID ON SEGA GENESIS!!! Nostalgia, now I remember it
Technically Injustice 2 didn't remove the arcade mode, it just awkwardly hid it in the online multiverse mode....which is really really weird and clunky.
Gamers to Superman: The burning you feel it is SHAME
"Madame Tussaud's Task Force."
Apply cold water to melted area!
That Superman: Man of Steel game at #16 wasn't actually released on any consoles, but rather a bunch of different home microcomputers.
9:42 i died laughing when he said, it sounds like a ⚽ team. Justice League "UNITED" 🤣😂🤣🤣
This is like comparing this weeks garbage, with last week’s garbage, with last month’s garbage
Count the number of jokes about a game/item being stuck in someone's mouth
Love this video, great work!!
Am I the only American that got the Ardal O’Hanlon reference? Had to give this video a thumbs up just for that. Triple Jump = “My Hero”!
Any chance we’ll see these franchises in Worst To Best in the future?
Tom & Jerry
Mickey Mouse
Bug’s Bunny
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (featuring the 2 Usagi Yojimbo games as wildcard entries)
Power Rangers (featuring the VR Troopers game as a wildcard entry)
Transformers
The Flintstones
I was really hoping rocksteady was going to give us a superman game with the template like Superman Returns, but instead we're going to get a half ass suicide squad game that no one asked for
Nobody:
NES: You know what I think we need? Another Superman game
Long hair Superman is a creep.
Also, why the hell isn't my Xbox called the acorn or walnut or something else awesome?
I actually do kinda prefer Injustice 2, to Injustice Gods Among Us.
Nice voice bro I enjoyed it the whole way
Do the Injustice games count as Superman games? Coz those are dope af. I'm down with the new lingo bro!
Wrote this before watching the video, huh? :P
@@godmagnus Probably. Truth be told I barely remember watching this 5 months ago.
Superman Returns on Xbox 360 was a lot of fun. I played through it in a couple of days, but only because it was so addictive. It was supposed to have a sick sequel, but it fell into licensing hell and never got finished.
Superman Arcade was my first arcade game so I will always love it
EDIT: Injustice 2 is better than Injustice and both are PHENOMENAL
I actually think you guys were too hard on Superman 64. The flying itself (not the levels) was actually fun. I think you missed a rare opportunity to show the virtue of one of the most notorious game ever. Definitely not the worst Superman game ever.
music playing the background for Superman: Man of Steel at 17:19?
God, I hope I don’t die before I get to see a good Superman game.
I just started the video…but Death and Return of Superman must be #1
Uhh... did you really just say Injustice 1 was better than 2??? It was leagues better looking, the gear system was amazing, gameplay was astonishing and the character selection was out of this world (especially considering DLC)
