- Your contributions to both TripleJump and the lives of the team has been immeasurable, and we will always be grateful for the time we shared. We love you Philip.
In January of 1976, with a comic strip called “Jon,” cartoonist Jim Davis introduced Garfield to the world. Since then, the world has been drowning in Garfield merchandise, TV shows, t-shirts, movies, and, of course, video games. Today, we’re going to rank them all from worst to best! Here is every Garfield video game ranked from worst to best.

The fact there are even enough Garfield games for an hour-long video blows me away
Was just thinking that lmao thought eh an hour? 🤣
Ditto
I was thinking exactly the same. I thought there were about four
I sold games for a decade. I was aware of literally every PAL release that happened. I don't remember a single Garfield game in that period, WHERE DID THEY COME FROM?
Right? I thought that this would only be like a twenty minute video
RIP Phillip. I was just rewatching the WGE episode recently where Ben says that they should ask him to write this list as a punishment and I wondered if he had been able to make it. It was nice to hear you guys speak his words for one last time.
Oh, this was Philips last contribution. No wonder he apparently hated doing this one! Rest peacefully, Philip ❤️
This might be the greatest bit of UA-cam content on planet Earth. Thank you Phillip.
No
@@Gold-fish-Guy EXACTLY
There exists an official dress up game of Jon Arbuckle. Just let that sink in
I will never unthink about this
Actually from what I've read, Garfield is actually super popular in Japan. Even more so in China, seriously it's actually kind of crazy just how popular he is in China. The movie Garfield: A Tale of Two Kitties is quite literally the most popular animated movie of all time for a while. No lie, it beat "Lion King" for that record. I'm not sure if it still holds that record, but I wouldn't be surprised if it's still in the top 5-10.
Woah really? Maybe they love cats .
Based
22:20 you should definitely have included the picture that shows that the hitbox for Garfield's kick in this game is LEGITIMATELY ZERO. It doesn't extend any further pixels than he usually takes up
I love that this is Phillip's final contribution to the world. To honor him, you should do a ranking list of every Pico game ever.
Was there something in this video that is causing all the comments to Phillip or is it some "if you know you know" thing? :S
I don't know much about Phillip, did he pass away?
@@thealmightycouch311 Yes, he just recently passed away.
Who's phillip?
@@Aevilbeast was he a writer? Editor? Sponsor?
A fitting final tribute for Philip. ❤
Is he dead?
1:55 A Nickelodeon games ranked video would be really cool! Heck, SpongeBob alone has more than enough games for a list on his own.
I agree. There's probably enough Spongebob games to fill a long video, which is the case with other franchises with lots of licensed they've covered like Shrek and Barbie.
I think if they're gonna do a Nickelodeon games video, though, they should specifically focus on the Nick crossover games, like All-Star Brawl and those Nicktoons Unite games, since a video like "Every Nickelodeon game ranked" just feels like it would focus on the crossover games rather then each and every game that's based on any Nickelodeon show. Just a feeling.
Having grown up in the early 2010’s, garfield’s nightmare on the DS was my first ever videogame that I really remember, Garfield’s nightmare and some Dora cooking game
Garfield's Wild Ride is literally Jetpack Joyride, Garfield edition
I knew someone else would've left a comment about this! I was flabbergasted when I realized what was going on.
I’m from Pittsburgh and went on Garfield’s nightmare many times in the past. Not as good as The Ild Mill for sure. Really cool to hear you talk about that ride. Never thought I would hear history about Kennywood on this video game channel, that was really neat. Love your channel by the way.
rip garfield’s nightmare 😢
R.I.P. Philip. I completed many video games and Lego sets with videos with your scripts accompanying me. Your work and legacy will be remembered, and you will be missed.
…Also, Dr. Seuss games ranked maybe?
Mad About Cats is the reason I clicked on this video. That game is so small and insignificant that I was actually curious about whether or not you would include it on the list. Not only did you include it, however, but you actually let it crack the top five and say some positive things about it. Truly a blessed day.
I've never really seen a Garfield game ever and here I find out there's at least one hour to talk about them all 😆
I had the Tail of Two Kitties DS game
Since watching SuperEyepatch Wolf's video on Garfield, this video feels more like a nightmare. Excellent job Team TripleJump (sincerly)
Everyone should look at that video though.
Angry Video Game Nerd and Nostalgia Critic had Garfield related videos a few weeks ago too 😆 it is like a nightmare
I would love to see a Garfield-style Street Fighter type game.
garfield absolutely kicks the living shit out jon would be funny

I had no idea Garfield even had this many games. My lord how were there so many of them. Good on you guys for going through them all.
24:16, the scene with the custom garfield comics. "lasgumus". i had to pause and genuinely laughed for like 5 minutes straight. my sense of humor is dying.

A Week of Garfield is the most cripplingly difficult video game I have ever played.
AVGN
"A Week Of Garfield" is a one sentence horror story
"Big Fat Hairy Deal" was one of my favorite C64 games as a kid, even though the puzzles were utterly perplexing.
Back in the day I bought it for my Speccy and I loved it. The puzzles were confusing to me, but I loved being able to kick Odie out of the screen and drinking Jon’s coffee.
Rip Phillip, the legacy lives on
Garfield caught in the act for sega genesis was my entire childhood. I believe the mechanics are like that because it adds a difficult curve or that game would’ve been so easy. Great list team!
this channel has gone off the rails in the fuckin sweetest way imaginable. RIP Phillip you'll always be close to our hearts babe
Lorenzo Music voiced Garfield and Peter Venkmen in the Ghostbuster cartoon
I just remembered about the Garfield game for the NES and how *mummified* Garfield looks when he's walking... I remember the 16-bit one too but other than that... hooray, one hour of Garfield gaaaamesssss
I’m stunned there are so many Garfield games that this video can exist. I have never seen or played any of them.
Kudos to you, this couldnt have been easy
I was a massive Garfield fan as a child, I'm glad I was never gifted many of these monstrosities
Relatively sure I've never played a single Garfield game...insane there are this many that I completely knew nothing about.
I've been waiting my entire life for this video
51:30 I love how he is literally like "I guess I'll die" in this short. Like, no prompt. No chain of events that lead to his demise. He just willingly stands under a trap and is like "I guess I'll die."
these big compilations of games are so fun, I love watching them!
Sure, there were a lot of better games on the Amiga, but I liked Garfield: Winter’s Tail as a kid, especially the music in it gave me joy.
I find ranking these more obscure games more fun than the big IPs.
Man, you have no idea how long I've waited for this video.
I love Garfield 🥰
I was obsessed with the "Mad about cats" one for PC as a child
I played it so much to see all the different cat varieties and what can be mixed together and the little signature dish part was super fun and interesting to me 😂
24:14 I stopped to read those comics, why did I laugh so hard at lasgumus
You should do a muppets games ranked. Not that it’d be an especially long list. But I’m sure there are just about enough to make a video on.
Hell yeah Garfield's typing pal actually taught me typing.
Now this is the content I've been waiting for.
"I haven't heard anyone laugh yet, so that just means I am doing it correctly" lol
Garfield's Fun Fest, Garfield's Nightmare, and Garfield and his 9 lives were my childhood. The memories are wonderful! ❤️
27:47 jetpack joyride: Garfield™️®️©️ edition
So many Garfield games are marred by the fact they're basically "(INSERT GAME HERE), but it's Garfield characters". Almost all of them feel like shovelware, and some of them probably literally are shovelware.
The ones on the 8 bit home computers (Garfield's Big Fat Hairy Deal) are probably the best at actually translating the comic strip into something resembling a playable game. They're self evidently the closest to the source material. I enjoyed it a lot as a kid.
In the midst of it all, it is strange how tonally and allegorically Garfield Kart is to the current state of Garfield and newspaper comics in general. There's so little going on and it isn't awful or great, it's just... there... and commands our attention anyways... Love the video, thanks :)
I think Garfield caught in act looks amazing
@@Gatorade69 ikr
Great to see that the game I worked on ranked 3rd place. ❤
god i love garfield. oh garfield. save me garfield. oh gar
Aw….thanks Philip for the cool video scripts and video ideas
Thom Huge didn’t just retire from performing the voice of Jon after Lorenzo Music’s death, he retired from voice acting altogether (though after the cancellation of of Garfield & Friends he primarily worked in advertising and radio).
Fun fact: Huge and Jim Davis were friends and fraternity brothers at Indiana’s Ball State University, and when Davis was first approached about making a Garfield animated special he asked Huge (a Chicago radio DJ at the time) to provide the voice of Jon.
Omg I needed this video.
I never knew there were Garfield games, let alone enough games to talk for nearly a hour!!!
This is a dark, dark day for me
27:42 Check the closed captioning being a different joke/line to the one spoken :D Peter replaced "Who are we to yuck your yum," with "Please know that I hate you."
Every Garfield game ranked from worst to worst.
He's uh... laughing at you, not fainting, when you get a question wrong.
Having the mental capacity to play more than 3 Garfield games would've killed me
Playing Garfield gets real is literally brain rot
Y'know, as someone who was a Garfield fan for many years, it's kind of sad to actually realize that most of the Garfield games are pretty bad. When "...MEDIOCRE" gets you #1 on the list...
I never knew that I wanted this video, definitely going to watch it though!
I had Garfield caught in the act as a kid. I loved it.
I had a lot of fun with the scene maker programs on my C64 a very, very long time ago. For little kids, it was fun to arrange your cartoon friends.
Now for a real challenge...
Every Spongebob game ranked from worst to best
I cannot believe you guys made this video and that I'm actually watching it
This video gave me an organism
garfield's nightmare is objectively the best garfield game for the soundtrack alone. It's also one of the few with boss battles which gives it far more variation than pretty much anything else in the list. The controls work nicely, I personally quiet enjoy the colorful graphics, and the minigames / levels are quite replayable. I know it's similar to a lot of other platformers to an extent, but in my opinion garfield and the other characters & aesthetics make it lovable enough to consider it somewhat special. I'd love to see a remake or port to the switch despite it being an unfortunately short game.
sad
@@RebelTaxi do you think it's the best garfied game? (answer wisely)
@@Neoncaffeine
@@RebelTaxi you're on thin ice pal!!!!
At this point, I am genuinely surprised there isn't a turn based JRPG style Garfield game.
I had Scholastic’s comic book maker featuring Garfield as a kid and use to love it. But looking back now I don’t know how I played it all the time.
Lasagna world tour was my fave as a kid, memories of it almost feel dreamlike with how odd the atmosphere was for it but gosh every now and again I get the urge to replay it sooooo bad. That and that one Disney princess game where you are your amnesiac self insert princess oc XD ahhh the memories
Ready for every final fantasy game ranked. Or you could start ranking genres like every jrpg or every fps ranked. That sounds incredibly difficult but y'all never back down from a challenge.
Final Fantasy XIV online should be ranked number one. Fourteen's lore is rich, deep, emotional and really emersive. The characters are very rememberable as well as likable and the gameplay isn't too shabby.
A suggestion for a ranked list; All Lord of the Rings Games from Worst to best
First I was like "hey new Triplejump vid" then I was like "AN HOUR OF GARFIELD GAMES?!?!?" and now I'm like "welp...better get some snacks."

This video is awesome to me for a couple reasons.. One is me trying to figure out which hated reviewing these games the most (thinking Peter) , and what does pants mean haha
Garfield is charming but who is buying all these games lol?
About the mention of an overlap between the Ghostbusters game with Peter Venkman and Garfield's Labyrinth. The voice actor of Garfield in Garfield and Friends also voiced The Real Ghostbuster's Peter Venkman in the first season.
Can you guys do every Ratchet and Clank game ranked from worst to best? Love your channel! Thanks for all your hard work!
I saw this and was like EVERY GARFIELD VIDEO GAME?! I thought there was only one!
I've been waiting for this lol
I've been a fan of Garfield for years true fact is this Bill Murry hated voicing that character in the live action movie and I'm sure that the Angry Video Nerd commented on every single bad Garfield video game ever made .
I'll always be a fan of that cat no matter what .
thanks for this video .
👍👍
That movie is the only reason I know who Garfield is
I thought for sure this would have been titled "Every Garfield Video Game Ranked From WORST To WORSTER"
Holy shit. I'll be honest I would not have expected there to be this many Garfield games. I can't wait.
I love you're videos
I think he laughs at you when you get it wrong, because of the upside down tear, and because he has his mouth at smiling
Wow. You actually said Lasagna 27 times
Quinton Reviews is judging your Garfield list. Better not disappoint him.
I used to have a Garfield telephone years ago. I also had a pair of Garfield mens boxer shorts too! I didn't care if they were mens or not. They looked great on me so i purchased them.
I watched this video before I went to sleep and when I did fall asleep I had a dream about Garfield games

Every Spongebob Squarepants Video Game Ranked From WORST To BEST Video Pls.
Small facts about the Mega Drive game, Caught in the Act.
All the sprites were created by Garfield creator Jim Davis and hand-drawn by Davis and the Garfield artists at Paws.-
Jim Davis stated in a 1995 interview, "I've known [Sega of America president] Tom Kalinske ... for 15 years. We always thought [a Garfield video game] would be a good idea, but neither of us was ready. I didn't have the time to devote to it because of other projects. Two years ago Tom felt the time was right, so we started."
He talked about the Garfield ride at Kennywood. The only good thing they did with that ride was take it down and I’m proud of my community for fighting to make it happen. Now we can only hope they will never make such a bad decision again. However, it’s Kennywood, that place has been going downhill for the last 20 years and it’s to the point it’s not even worth getting season passes anymore.
Garfield Gets Real was a decent movie, it’s a typical take on “what if (insert media platform) came to the real world” but with comic characters and was an extremely rare adaptation of multiple comic characters from the syndicator’s repertoire
Garfield: symphony of the italians
