MEREDITH Hutson was very confident at her heaviest weight and felt beautiful in her own skin - the reason she began her journey was due to health issues. The now 28-year-old of Texas would experience numbness in her hands and feet as soon as she woke up and had a thyroid condition. Meredith said: “I just knew that I just couldn't continue living that way no matter how confident I was in my own skin.” She began exercising and completely changed her eating habits and over the course of two years, lost 120lbs. She said losing weight helped with all her medical issues and she no longer has the thyroid condition. Meredith said her husband, Steven, helped her on her journey by teaching her how to cook and a year into her journey, he felt inspired to start his own. Meredith joked: “He saw me getting these gains and wanted a piece of that.” She completely changed her life and physique through exercise and gained confidence in the gym. She said: “I went from being scared and terrified to do these workouts, to falling in love with the process.” Meredith started sharing her journey after she had lost 40lbs. She said: “The feedback really just fueled me and pushed me even more. And then of course I lost 120lbs and I still can't believe that today.” In January 2022, Meredith launched a fitness programme and became a coach. She successfully grew her client base and now works with people all over the world. Today she will be putting two of her clients through their paces in the gym.

Yes absolutely! You don't have to hate yourself if you're unhealthy! You can love yourself and say, "I will improve my health and lose weight because I love myself," instead of "I HATE the way I look, I want to be thin." In my personal opinion, I feel that we place too much value on the aesthetic part of weight loss rather than the health part.

I was able to lose some weight over the pandemic since I didn't eat out nearly as much. I won't from 165 to 145. I'm 5'1" as well. Now that places have generally reopened, my friends and I are dining out more, and I'gained some weight back, to 152. Sigh. Time to get exercising again and eating more healthily.

I'm glad she lost weight and got healthy but on the other hand im really really tired of society treating overweight people like sh*t, we are people too I have a family I have responsibilities I also don't eat aloT and walk many hours a day I'm a vegan too, I gain weight because I have two serious medical issues and medication causes me too gain weight, I'm sick and tired of especially men thinking they have the right to be rude and nasty just because of my size, it's really disgusting how people think they can come up to me and tell me stop eating cheeseburgers when I don't even eat meat for 18 years, the effing attitude you get when you are bigger is really grotesque my ex friend who outweighs me by 100 lbs kept making remarks as well, I'm tired of it and if you are overweight please stand up for yourself we deserve respect.

I'm a muscular man with a slim look, wich is something I have actively strived for with my training. The more my fitness level improved, the more comments I would get. People would complain about my eating habits, get offended by me declining sweets, objectify me and much more.
The point i, that society in general is judgemental and not mindful. People take their views for granted and think it needs to be relayed, instead of witholding. Some dont understand the impact of them criticizing your lifestyle choices, considering they might not even have the full context to your reasoning.
I dont think you, me or anyone else deserve unwarranted negative comments from strangers, colleagues etc. I am sorry about your situation though regarding the medical issues, because that means the uphill struggle is tougher for you than for others. Although not impossible to overcome.

It really does blow. I have PCOS, Polycyclic Ovarian Syndrome with Insulin Resistance. I’ve been overweight my entire adult life and part childhood at age 10. I’m always active. I work in healthcare, have been for 21 years. I’ve done everything I could to keep my weight down or at least stable enough so I’m not going up and down . The last like 5 years I’ve been doing fasting and for me been helping me keep my weight steady to the point I’ve been the same weight in those 5 years. I get comments like you should be eating more meals than just one a day. Your not getting enough calories in. I’m like trust me the meals I make are extremely filling as I make sure it’s a lot of protein base. I eat tons of veggies. Yes there are times that 7 hours has passed and I get hungry again, I’ll make something small to take the hunger off and I’m good to go. If I go on vacation I’ll eat 3 meals but are small. And even then it’s like you’re eating too much. It’s never ending no matter what you’re eating lifestyle is like. I’ve been to the point, have been for years, I don’t give 2 craps about anyone opinions. I’m extremely confident, I will tell you like it is. The woman are the ones who have the salty saying. I’ve haven’t had any men be rude or nasty towards me.

I know women that weigh less than 200 pounds that lose weight through diet and exercise that still can't get rid of their stretch marks and loose skin. It's not possible to go from 256 to 120 naturally with diet and exercise and not have stretch marks or loose skin. They never showed her stomach so I'm guessing she got skin removal surgery.
